-10/10 stars. I went in for a gel manicure, 2pm on a Friday afternoon (today). The man at the desk said they were "too busy" to do that I would need to come back later. Looking around, there were 3 college aged girls getting maybe fills done and nobody else, multiple seats open and workers standing around watching soccer. I said Ok, I will walk around the shops and come back around an hour, no problem. I come back, the same man, as if he forgot who I was within the hour tells a woman gel manicure and I felt like it was a huge inconvenience to her. I asked for the colors to look at and she threw me their "new summer colors" which were obnoxious bright neon colors I would never wear. I said can you just give me a pinkish red, trusting her judgment and she came back with a neon orange as if I was going to a glow in the dark party. I show her my nails and tell her I have been growing them out and I was really proud of how long they got and didn't want them cut down, just lightly filed for shape. Lo and behold, what do you know, she is chopping my nails down with the nail clipper without me agreeing to it. I was angry at this point and told her I did not want them clipped at all but she ignored me. Then, she is trying to push me to do the "dip" which in my opinion is a waste of money, so I said no because I already hated the color and what she did so I knew I would be going somewhere else within the next week for a new color. She finished the manicure and gave me the most pathetic hand massage and said the price and used her hand to basically wave me out. I paid, came home, and within an hour of being home 2 nails already chipped. Not only was she incredibly rude, but it was not relaxing at all, zero hospitality, and don't let them fool you, when they are speaking Chinese to their co-workers it's about you. If you can speak English, why not speak it in front of the people who also speak English who are your paying customers. I will NEVER return in my life and would actually prefer the mall nail salon over this overpriced horrible salon. read more

NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. I asked for a gel manicure which I was told was $35. I then asked if they had chrome and they did. They threw a book of gel colors at me and told me to sit down. I asked if this was all of the colors they had ? They said yes. I began to walk out because I didn't see anything I liked and I was told to "just sit down." On my way out the door I saw rings of more colors hanging on the counter. I asked if they were also gel colors and they said yes. So at first I was lied to and told the book was the only gel colors they had. Anyway I ended up picking a color because I didn't feel like driving anywhere else. Bad idea. Terrible shaping and a sloppy paint job. Scratches on one nail that were completely ignored while polishing. When I was finished I was told it was $50. I asked where the extra $15 came from? I was told chrome is an extra $15.... Seriously ?! For $15 for chrome powder ??? (It's usually $5 everywhere else I go, if not free) Maybe they should have told me that when I originally asked about it. Oh And walking out of the door with polish all over my thumb. If I were reviewing my pedicure alone, I'd give them 2 stars because my toenails look okay to me. My hands though, barely a 1 star. I get my nails done here a few times a year when I come into town for visits with the fam. All previous experiences were about three stars, but my most recent one takes the cake. I always get gel on my hands and feet. The tech handed me a book of sample colors and the one I usually get wasn't shown. I asked if they had any more colors and the tech said no. We all know that's bullshit because there are a ton of those of those rings of fake nails painted with their color options lying around the place. I was already in the pedi chair with my feet in the water and didn't feel like discussing it through the language barrier, and I'm always okay with black anyways. They only had solid black in the book so the tech said she could put on a top layer of sparkle for me. Finally, I was sent to chair #6, and ready to recline, close my eyes, and relax for my foot spa & chair massage. What a disappointment! I don't like the slapping option, because it's a pounding/shaking of the entire body. I tried putting it on the kneading mode, but nothing would happen. Then tried the pressing mode... nothing. So I ended up going with the auto mode, which switched between all methods. Well, whenever it would transition to either the kneading or pressing mode, the chair would stop, and you would hear the motor clicking as it was trying to go through those parts of the routine. I don't know why she didn't have me sit in a different chair to begin with because only one other was in use. She clipped my cuticle once. It didn't cause bleeding but it hurt like hell. Also, she never offered me additional services, which is in the deluxe package that I would always get. I could've asked for it, but at that point I was just in a hurry to get to the fingernail station since they don't do your hands and feet at the same time, making your 30/40ish minute session a 2 hour session. Once my toes were done, I was moved to a nail waiting area. It was about 10 minutes before I was seated at a nail station. The nail tech asked what color I wanted, which was unusual, because the pedicure tech didn't bring the color over to her so that I'd have matching toes and nails. That's when I decided to inquire again about those additional colors. She brought me one of the bazillion rings of samples, which did not have any desirable colors on there. So I finally pointed to my coat, which was similar to the blue I usually get. I asked for that particular blue, but with sparkles. So she went and got a different book, I opened it, and bam. There was the color I get EVERY TIME I go there. at that point I realized I have to deal with having mismatched toes and hands, but it's winter and I'm not wearing open toed shoes these days. I was definitely pissed that I was lied to about not having additional colors to pick from, but whatever. Laziness at its finest. At one point, she filed my finger, breaking the skin. It was bleeding, I yelled ouch and she stopped, and then when I showed her the spot she just effed up on me, she just grunted something at me & continued working. My nails look like shit. It was NYE and most places closed early, including them . I had no time or desire to have them messing around with them any longer so I didn't ask them to fix anything. The pics speak for themselves. I'm torn on this. Probably wouldn't return, but it's a passable enough place if you're looking for efficiency only and nothing else that makes getting your nails done enjoyable (e.g., spa treatment, relaxing ambiance, attentiveness, etc.). If you have a wedding you forgot about and need a quick polish, then this is your spot. Mom and I showed up as walk-ins around 12:20 on a Sunday afternoon, her for an acrylic set and me for a basic pedicure. We were told they didn't have enough staff at the time and to come back in an hour, so we left our name and did just that. Returned and my mom was told there STILL weren't enough people to do her acrylics, but they were able to take me, so my mom just waited while I got mine done. If there were a Guinness World Record for fastest pedicure, this would be it. This was speedy, no BS, no sitting with my eyes closed while my heels and calves get a luxurious rubdown. It was like that video of the woman folding Domino's Pizza boxes at near-warp speed, only it was metal objects in and around my toenails. The nail artist working on me wasn't mean, but definitely wasn't friendly. Curt, I would say. I was inconveniencing her by being there, and was more or less prodded at throughout by way of slaps to the feet: give me your right foot, put your left foot in the tub (bonus points for plastic wrap in the communal tubs, always a good sign). At one point, she even yanked the remote from its socket in a huff and *turned off* my massage chair because the vibrations were getting in the way of her work? The place isn't dirty, per se, but it didn't feel clean either. The walls and floors looked old, like the whole place could use a refresher, as did the massage chairs, and there was a strange bathroom odor the entire time that was unsettling. Not to mention the open back door where all manner of bugs could fly in on a humid day. For $40 (even though the sign said $35??), it was not worth it. My toenails do look pretty nice and she made sure to do three coats and a top clear coat (albeit quickly), so we'll see how long they hold up, but for now I'm still on the hunt for a good salon. read more

I would have stayed away from this salon based on reviews, but I had a gift certificate so it was worth a try. It was the most rushed, abrasive pedicure and dip mani I've had in my life! I paid 43 dollars for a half attempted, rushed pedicure where they barely addressed my heels, threw scalding hot towels on me with no regard, rushed thru the scrub and lotion I paid extra for, and acted like I was a burden for having come to the salon. The 43 dollar deluxe pedi was over in less than 15 mins! When I winced in pain from him hurting me, he gave me a death stare. Then the dip mani person was so rushed I was a nervous wreck the whole time I was going to get seriously hurt, and I was physically uncomfortable. I made an appointment for a specific time for a reason. I get there for my appt time and they tell me I have to wait because someone forgot to write my appointment down. They recognize it is their fault and they refuse to accommodate and fix THEIR ISSUE. People make appts for reasons because they are fitting it into their day and most likely have other things to do. Also, one woman there never does a mani right no matter what kind of mani it is. I have never had a dip mani done right there it is always super thick! If I could give negative stars I would. I will never in my life go to this place again. Me and my sister came in for three pedicures made an appointment four hours prior. When we were arrived at 3:50 our appointment was 4 PM they made us wait till 430. Then when I said something, they were extremely rude with the attitude. We gotten the chairs and we complained about the water being too hot. Could they change it? They were very rude to us. I requested red French tip toast. The lady would not do them. She said she does not want to do them today because they are close to closing, but she will pay my toes red. This was the most rudest employees I have ever met at salon. They were laughing at my disabled sister when they got confronted, they said that we can get out and leave. They don't want us as client and kick this out without providing the rest of the service of our pedicure and made us pay full price. The police were called And will be taking further action. I'm constantly up at the shops so I figured I'd stop in for a gel manicure even though it isn't my usual place. The girl used one tool and one tool only for the entire manicure to file off all my gel polish and completely filed my nails down to their nail bed and was the most painful experience I've had ever getting my nails done. She used a file aggressively the entire time which made my fingers bleed. the next day I had an infection so bad I was started on antibiotics. I've been getting my nails done for 20 plus years and this has never happened. I was charged $50 and a week later my polish is peeling away and I'm still on the antibiotic. I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend anyone to ever go here. I will spend the next few months taking vitamins to try and repair the damage done to my poor nails :( horrible read more

Stood at the counter for 2-3 minutes, before 1 of the 5 nail techs sitting there , doing nothing I might add acknowledged my presence. In shock, I look at the time again, state the current time and point to the business hours. I even say, the only service I need. is to have the gel polish removed. My nails came out good but the entire time I was at the salon I was badgered about choosing to use a regular polish that I brought with me. I'm going on a long vacation and I wanted to have the polish with me in case anything chipped (not that I need to explain myself for choosing a certain service that I was paying for). The person who worked on my nails ridiculed the polish exclaiming "this is the first time in ten years that I used regular polish" and "you care more about the color of your nails than if they look good." I'm sorry but I'm the customer and do not expect to be treated that way! They change their prices constantly. You never really know what your paying for and Skye provides terrible service! Badly cut cuticles to the point of bleeding- no sorry, nothing. The tech failed to clean around the cuticle area on the other hand. The manager fixed them the next day but wouldn't refund my money and made excuse after excuse about why this happened. Unacceptable. I used to come here for years but they officially lost me as a customer forever. 1. It's extra expensive 2. It's dirty 3. They aren't very nice to their customers. I witnessed the one man working there physically grab an older woman who was finishing paying & tipping them and lifted her out of her chair so someone else could sit there (no one was even in the store). Bad experience. Will not be back! I stopped in for a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was OK - they did use a liner in the tub which was a plus. During my pedicure, the back door to the salon was open - nail techs would go outside and smoke, which made the entire place smell like cigarette smoke. Chipped paint on the walls - over all, not a clean feeling in there. Whatever they used on my legs and feet burned my legs to the point of being uncomfortable. After that I had a gel manicure done - it was the worst manicure I've ever had. The guy had no idea what he was doing. Sloppy polish job, things stuck in the polish. The gel was stuck to my skin so now all my nails are lifting 4 days later. I asked if he could fix them and he got annoyed. At each nail station there's a sign that says you cannot put a tip on your card but if you withdraw money from their ATM, they'll reimburse you the $2.00 fee. I used their ATM and then asked for the $2.00 fee and pretty much had to state my case to get my money back. They weren't going to honor it until I told them it's stated in each nail station. My sister and I went to get gel manicures and pedicure for our vacation. We got them on Thursday and by that Saturday one of my nails started to chip. I managed to file it down and it was fine, by Tuesday that same nail had a huge chip in the gel polish. Gel polish is supposed to stay on without chipping for a week or two. I rarely post and always allow people to have a tough day but my experience yesterday was worthy of a post. I have used this salon several times over the years, usually have a guy and though nothing special, pedi/mani was always acceptable, comfortable and quick. The woman I had yesterday (chair 10) could not have been ruder, from the get-go. Literally rolled her eyes at me when I apologized that I could not understand what she was saying to me. She would push my hands away when done with each hand, as if i didn't know to move them myself. I can go on, but won't. It simply was very uncomfortable. The people here are the absolute WORST. My mom and I used to go there to get our nails done and the worker who did our nails was completely careless. She was not gentle at all when putting on the nails and ended up constantly cutting our skin. I use to go to a nail place in Clarks Summit, where I did enjoy going, but I was always there a couple of hours. But a few months ago I stopped here, and got a set of gel nails I was out in 1/2 the time it normally takes, now I have switched to Nail Dips, still out in 35 minutes. If you make an appt. its even better. But I can say this is my go to nail place now. I had one of the worst manicures of my life. Everyone was friendly, but the woman who started my manicure(fill and fix) burned my finger tips twice with the buffer and almost burned through my pinky nail. She also put acrylic over a dirty part of of my nail that should have been cleaned up. I wanted a French manicure and it would have shone through so she told me I had to get color. Her son took over and ended up painting them pink and then putting white on the end by hand very messily. All if this cost me $30, and I had to go home and file and reliant them. I'm not saying this is how they always do manicures, but I doubt that the woman who started my nails was even trained properly. read more

Never again! I visited this past week and arrived around 7:15 PM. I asked if they had time for a manicure. They accommodated me but I really wish they sent me away. The gal that did my service was finished by 7:30 - slapped the polish on without any regard for the fact that it was seeping around my cuticles, had lint in it from the towel and never had me wash my hands so they were still "fuzzy" from the file. I picked off some of the fuzz from the still wet polish and told her I thought her work was very sloppy. She immediately removed the polish and had a co-worker redo it. The co-worker did a much better job. As I was sitting in the drying chair, the original gal said that she was sorry she was rushed but she had other jobs to do. She checked my nails two times in the middle of the drying cycle - she really wanted me to leave and quickly. My advice here is that if your staff wants to leave to the point they are pushing clients out the door - don't accommodate the service later in the evening or post hours to close at 7PM or 7:30. Hanging out at Montage on a day off, some friends and I were looking for a place to get glamorous, well at least for the little bit of time we were away from camp. We stumbled upon this gem while coming from Starbucks, and thought that we would check it out. It was a weekday, and early afternoon, and the place was busy, but not so much so that they didn't get you in right away. I am a big fan of the shellack, but this visit, I opted for regular polish on my hands instead. I got the mani/pedi combo and it was a pretty good price for the combo. You have your choice of regular pedi or spa, which involves sea salt. The guy that was taking care of me put on gloves (which I have never seen before), which was the norm for pedicures. The foot and leg massage were amazing and so relaxing. The manicure was amazing as well and had a hand massage that was pretty awesome as well. They also have numerous waxing services if you are need of a cleanup! All in all, I would say that we were impressed with the service we received. Nice visit if you are in the area! read more

This salon is clean and bright. The employees are kind and always accommodating. Even without an appointment, I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be taken care of. They always have a HUGE color selection and are up to date with all the latest nail trends. I've never left unhappy and, if someone is unhappy with the service they received for any reason, I've seen the management go above and beyond to remedy. I've tried all of the nail salons in the Scranton (and surrounding) areas and this is my favorite, by far! read more

I get my nails done once a week ( regular polish change ) and I go to different salons, depending on where I am in NEPA. Glamour Nails is my favorite. They have my favorite OPI color. I've never had to wait long, though you can make an appointment. They're open on Sundays. The staff is super-nice. Good location. My polish seems to last longer when I go here. They do nice work. The only thing I don't like is that the regular polish change costs a couple dollars more here, but they rule, so it's okay :) pricing is standard with pretty much everything else. It's clean and well-kept here, as well. I'd gladly recommend Glamour Nails! read more

If you thought you were rushed before covid it's even worse after. The girl doing my nails barley filed them or touched the cuticles. When I gave her my money she didn't give me change! (That's my fault for not speaking up!) Then she told me to go sit outside to dry...it was 86° and sunny out...I'm going to my car. Getting in I bumped a nail. Went back in to have it fixed and she was totally annoyed and said "I told you to sit outside!" All she did was paint over it! Looks like crap! And she got a great tip! The pedicure technician accidentally threw my cup of coffee into the water where I supposed to put my feet. But we are all humans, accidents happens, I was not very upset about it. The worst thing was that dryer didn't work, and she forced me out of salon. She didn't want me to stay to dry my nails naturally. Wish I could give 0 stars! I have been a regular customer of this establishment for 3 years. I was always cooperative, friendly, tipped well (over $20 every time for a fill) and really enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, that all changed last night. I called the salon at 6:00PM to ask if I could still come in for a fill. Their posted hours indicate that they close at 8:00PM. The woman on the phone was super nice and said yes, come in. I told her I would be there at 6:40PM. She said "not a problem". I drove 30 minutes to Moosic and walked in at 6:35PM. The door was wide open. The lights were dimmed. Two woman were standing there and immediately looked annoyed at me as if I was inconveniencing them. The blonde (Star?) told me that they were slow that day so they would be closing early and would not provide me service. I explained that I was just on the phone with someone who said I could come and that I had driven 30 minutes to get there and now wasted gas. I only wanted a fill and they were supposed to close at 8:00PM! They dismissed me, blamed it on another worker who apparently already left the store. I asked them if they could make an "exception", the blonde woman who sits at the last desk rudely said no and waived me out. I was not even asking for am exception since they were supposed to be open! This same lady also tried to lie and say the woman who spoke to me on the phone said "don't come". A shameful lie because the person on the phone was friendly and said "yes, no problem come". It was the worst customer experience that I have ever had. Not only did they inconvenience me by making me drive all that way and closing early, but I felt badly, not just because of the experience, but because I have been a loyal and good customer and I was so easily dismissed. I will call the store and share this experience with the owner, but I am done with this establishment. Needless to say, I will be finding another nail salon to go, preferably some place that ensures every one of their employees appreciates their customers, doesn't try to lie to them and won't inconvenience them. read more
