Rachel is cool, calm, and collected at the same time that she is warm, caring, and detail-oriented. I loved the look we put together at my trial, it was exactly what I wanted. I don't typically wear much makeup, and I wanted to look like myself just elevated for the special day. She asked me good questions, and really listened to my answers and used her expertise to guide us in a good direction to get the results that I wanted. It felt like we were a team. On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time and was extremely professional and focused. She kept on schedule and did not get flustered at all. I had a little freakout at one point about something about my look (nothing that she did), and she expertly handled it, helping me calm down and reminding me of the various things we had talked about at the trial - she said she would deviate from that if that was what I wanted, but talking with her made me feel confident again in what we had already agreed upon. Crisis averted. My look turned out amazing, even better than at the trial and exceeded my expectations! And critically it lasted the WHOLE DAY through some serious weather and activities. It was incredibly windy and we took all of our photos outside before the ceremony, plus the ceremony and cocktail hour were outdoors. It was also quite hot. By the time of the reception my hair and makeup still looked STELLAR! I was so impressed. Additional context: my hair doesn't normally hold a curl well, which made this even more impressive. After all the wind, 6+ hours of non-stop dancing (and sweating!), and a multi-hour after party at the beach, we got back to our hotel room and my hair was still gorgeously curled and my makeup still looked great! Also, she graciously thought of putting sunscreen on my arms and chest right before she sent me off to photos, something I hadn't thought of, which I was so grateful for because otherwise I certainly would have burned badly.
She also did hair and makeup for my mom and grandma and makeup for my aunt, handling each of their unique needs expertly. They each looked so gorgeous and did not look like they were wearing too much makeup at all, something they were all concerned about. They looked very natural and elevated, which matched my look, too. Sometimes I think makeup ages people, but Rachel did a great job making sure their skin looked fresh and bright and the makeup didn't crease at all. They all received many compliments!
All this to say, Rachel is amazing and I highly recommend her!
