Candelaria Beauty should work on transparency and honesty with prospective clients. I submitted an…read moreinquiry to Candelaria about a month ago and received an immediate response and talked with Cassie the same day. At the time we spoke, she stated that other people had inquired about my date, but something should work (even going as far as to say that people with my wedding planner got some sort of preference). The phone call ended with her saying she would send me a proposal that evening. When the proposal did not come, I followed up one week later and received no response. Two weeks later, I received an email from Cassie saying that after our phone call she realized that she could not put together a team for me, followed by some boilerplate rhetoric about how she wants only people she knows that can fit my wedding needs to help me. This email honestly came too late. If there was any issue with availability that needs to be immediately communicated. The wedding industry can be complex and stressful. Especially, when it comes to ensuring availability of the vendors you want. Waiting this long to express an availability issue put me at a disadvantage for reaching out to other vendors (I have done so but after speaking with Candelaria they were my top pick and I wanted to wait for a proposal). This all comes after I expressed to Candelaria that scheduling makeup was my biggest wedding stressor. After this experience, their concern for their customers and interest in their "special day" rings hollow. From other reviews, this seems to be a common theme. This practice is unprofessional and hurts people. They seem really nice and like they are talented makeup artists. However, they need to work on their communication and transparency instead of stringing prospective clients along.

Bad business model, IMO. Sad b/c their photos look great.

Her energy is exactly what you want on your wedding day. She created such a positive calming environment and kept us ahead of schedule all day. I felt beautiful while still feeling like myself! I also booked her for touch-ups, which I HIGHLY recommend. Not only did she make sure my makeup looked perfect all day, but she was carrying my bouquet, cheering us on, and was just so fun and supportive to have around. I did a lot of research online about makeup artists in the bay area and decided that there were a few that sounded like they really knew what they were doing, and so I figured I should give them all a try. I booked trials (on the same day) just to be able to compare and pick the best. My fiancé (now husband) came along with me for my trials. I had some disappointing experiences that day, and then we went to see Myrium. Right off the bat my husband was "hands down you need to have Myrium do your makeup on the day of the wedding" Not only did he love her work (which says a lot) I was completely impressed as well. Do yourself a favor and have a trial done by her if your looking for a makeup artist for your wedding, I promise you will not be disappointed. Her and her team are super friendly and professional as well which is a big plus. She def. knows how to give you that flawless look every bride is looking for on their big day. Can't say enough great things about her and her work!

We had a trial and a styling appointment beforehand, where I described the look I was going for, and she gave many useful tips and suggestions on how we can achieve it. Fast forward to the wedding day- Myrium was very punctual. We had organized for her to bring 2 assistants along to do my family members' hair and makeup, however one of the assistants did not show as her car broke down. Myrium was very apologetic and made sure that she and the other assistant got everybody ready on time. Myrium made me look like a princess on my wedding day, and kept me so calm while she was working on my hair and makeup. I was stunned at the outcome, and everyone could not stop complimenting my subtle yet striking bridal makeup and beautiful updo for the morning ceremony. I had one hour between the wedding ceremony and reception for Myrium to completely change my look- she re-did my hair and makeup quickly and efficiently, and gave me a totally new dazzling look for the evening. I do not have enough good things to say about my experience with her- she is AMAZING. I consider her one of my best wedding vendors. If you are looking for a reliable and professional make up artist who is also great to talk to, I HIGHLY recommend Myrium.

I love how clear, organized, and transparent she is about the booking process. She really nailed that first impression. For the company I was shooting with, the only time slot available was 8am. UGH, so early. Without any complaints or grumbling, Tiffany showed up at my apartment bright and early at 6am. She's so easygoing and accommodating. I felt so relaxed and confident going into the photoshoot, I'd forgotten how empowering it is to be around other women. My last shoot involved dark and gothy makeup, so Tiffany went for a light and pink look, which I absolutely loved!
