I scheduled a bridal tan package with Ashley (the owner) and was nervous going in since I've had a bad spray tan before. I told her exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. She gave me a very natural tan, with a clear solution so it doesn't get everywhere, and an express version so I could shower in 3 hours time! It was also very light in odor if at all, which I love as opposed to smelling like burnt food. Ashley was super nice, easy to talk to, and really listens to her customers needs. The shop itself is a little spot in downtown Monterey with decent street parking out front. Can't wait to come back for the big day!

Now the price is higher, merchandise is bad, and hours are very restricted. No posted rules, or communication from the business on policies or contract details. I tried to be a patron and was argued with by the owner and an employee at the Monterey location within the first 24 hours of signing up for a membership? Lots of previous customers reporting the same bad customer service experiences. Seems like a business that doesn't actually want any customers? I want to add like other reviewers, Florence was very professional and clearly has real customer service experience. Unfortunately, she isn't working when I can make it to this location. All the other employees including the owner have been very confrontational and aggressively rude. I don't feel comfortable returning. I hope someone else opens another tanning salon soon.

On the day of my scheduled appointment (two days before my wedding), the lady cancelled two hours before my scheduled time. She knew this was for my wedding. I tried to get into someone else that day and no one was available; and I had no time the next day- so I couldn't get a spray tan in the end which was very disappointing for my wedding day:( and a TON of added stress and time trying to get into someone else. I got the vibe she is only interested in large parties and/or just doesn't care much about her business.

She has many years of experience and you can tell in the way she does the massage. I came in one time with a stiff neck that I couldn't move. I slept on it really wrong and was in an incredible amount of pain. She helped treat me and provided me so much relief. She is very accommodating and attentive to my needs and I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. They offer a discount on Mondays for locals and also a monthly subscription plan. Getting consistent massages is key and I highly recommend seeing Alicia. Parking can be tricky on a busy day and the spa is downstairs from International Cafe. The spa is small but cozy and clean.
