Bad service for first time!! HAIRSTYLIST BREAUNNA ! So I came in to get a haircut service done I was told it's 65 for the cut and was charged 75 after I had to recheck my messages' and then to top it off she breaunna DOES NOT know how to brush hair at all !! She first washed my hair at wash bowl sat me down towel dried my hair ok cool ' and then just starts brushing my whole hair Straight from the top pulling And breaking my hair down! I mentioned to her she was being rough and tried to be gentle but ended back with the same tension and breaking my Hair all the way from my roots .. I'm ver sad also she used absolutely no hair products for after wash like I know All hair stylist that do and definitely at some type of heat protection in your hair well NOT HERE ' I was completely sadden because of how nice the salon was but the service was bad very bad for a first timer ... look like she was having a bad and that sucks why work and look like that!! I had a headache for a while after leaving there no joke was pretty sad knowing how much good stuff I heard from that salon but not that stylist !! Me personally coming from good hair stylist im Vegas all the salons I've been too are very sweet gentle try to have a conversation with you and she was just like upset had mad face' also every salons uses hair products on a customers hair for brushing out or blowouts or some heat protection but her nothing did she use. But at the end after curling my hair for waves only added hair spray for the waves... so whatever i just wanted to pay for my hair cut and leave so I did and will not be coming back again sad to say ... and I love a nice hair trip at the salon we all women do . Poor girl! I did message back the salon page wher I was told it's 65 for a women's hair cut for wash n style and haven't got no reply ... the poor girl definitely have bad service. Very unprofessional she double booked me and some other girl. There was a whole argument, and she was being rude, unprofessional and snarky. For the works she does it very overpriced. Not worth it. She didn't even style my hair, even though it's included. It seemed like she just wanted to rush and get out and go home. I also asked for a haircut, and she barely even gave me a trim. I wanted to it to be an actual haircut and she overcharged for that as well. Her vibe and attitude is very entitlement energy and it feels very uncomfortable speaking. This is my first time coming to Glam Hair Studio and I had my hair done by Daisy! I'm very skeptical about going to a new hair stylist and I was previously going to someone else for 5 years but For several reasons I was looking for a new hair stylist to go to and I found out about Daisy through a friend and after a long time I wanted to take a chance and begin working with Daisy because she seems to do amazing work from what I was able to see on her Instagram and seemed very knowledgeable on how to treat/handle hair etc. She did an amazing job on my hair! This is my first session with a color correction and also I came in with different colors in my hair I had blonde hair with faded red/violet/magenta colored hair on top of the blonde and then virgin roots so it was a matter of how much my hair could handle and Daisy was very clear on the fact that my hair may not lift to blonde much at all because of the red mixed in it so I literally did not even expect Daisy to be able to lift my hair to what you see in the photos. It's still a long way from my goal of course but I understood that in order to maintain the health of my hair, this was gunna be a process. What I really loved about working with Daisy is that she was very straight forward and honest from the start. She thoroughly had explained to me how color corrections work, the risks and how important it is for her to know what was previously done to the hair so that she can proceed with the right steps and not severely damage the hair. I appreciated that so much because she stayed communicating throughout the whole process so that I understood what she was doing and where my hair was at in how it was handling the bleach. She told me how long we would leave the bleach for and if my hair was holding up well then we would leave it on a little longer. She explained to me that the goal for my hair would not be achieved in this one session and that because I had multiple colors in my hair, their would be bands and some areas would be lighter than others. She also gave me so many tips of how to care for my hair going forward and even prior to me coming into my appointment she gave me so much info on maintaining the health and moisture of my hair which meant a lot to me because previously I was not given this information and my hair was pretty damaged over time because I did not know what I needed to do to maintain my hair. I can tell she cared about making sure my hair was prepared for the appointment. Daisy is definitely someone who cares about her clients and is passionate about her work and will make sure you are well informed and understand what's being done. She won't beat around the bush and she'll be very honest with you and if you're patient, she will get you to your goal with time! My hair looks amazing considering it was dry at the ends with different colors and products mixed into it. Even Daisy's assistant was amazing, kind and helpful and the whole experience was great! I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend going to Daisy as she won't disappoint and she will take care of you! WORST experience! This is the first time I have ever had a BOTCHED hair cut. I asked for 3 inches to be cut off - ended up with 6 inches chopped off along with uneven and ugly hair. Don't even get me started on the color. Nothing about this appointment was what I wanted! I reached out to the salon to see if we could resolve this issue privately and am not being accommodated. I was told they would fix my hair any day and time at my preference and that was a lie. Having to go back to the salon is a major inconvenience, especially when my hair should have been done correctly in the first place! I am also scared to let anybody else in this salon touch my hair out of fear of it getting messed up even more and due to the hostility I have experienced from one of the owners. Save your time and money! The incompetence of the stylist that did my hair is horrible! Edit to add - the girl that did my hair is Chalsey Chavez. She will always give you a consultation and tell you the process she will do with your hair so you will be aware. Once you give her the OK, its a go. I've been in San Pedro for almost 3 years and stumbled upon this gem! I'm so cautious about who touches my hair because I've had one too many bad experiences. I didn't realize how bad my hair color was until I sat in the chair and took down my ponytail. The color was all shades of orangy reds. Not cute! Maria did an amazing job. I absolutely love my hair. This was the first time I've been to Glam Studio and I love everything about it. At first, I was skeptical because I was a new customer and it's very hard finding the right stylist especially when it comes to bleaching. My hair was very brassy to begin with because of a previous hair stylist. I did my research in finding the right person to work w my hair and came across Daisy, owner of Glam Studio. I set an appt with her to do a consultation and she was very forward about the brass in my hair and what I wanted to achieve. After seeing her results of her work and the honesty about how my hair would turn out, I gave her a chance. This is by far what I expected and I am very pleased on how it turned out. Made appt with Daisy (owner) and she was kind enough to text me to let me know I could come earlier. Went in for highlights/roots (stubborn grey) and a cut. She was VERY thorough. She recommended we do highlights next time and walked me through each process. Liked her ideas and decided since she's the expert, was good hands. Her hair was was AMAZING! GLAM hair studio is a very nice, clean and friendly atmosphere. Daisy and Chelsea do amazing work and are very attentive and detailed when working on your hair. I have had a wonderful experience the last 3 times I have visited the salon and I will be returning for a 4th time in the future. The salon is small, but cute! the parking was very difficult because it's in a small business center, I had to park a block down summer land. Anyway, I got my hair done by andria (or andie) a little over a month ago. I found her on Instagram, because she promotes that she is a "balayage specialist". Her prices seemed kind of reasonable but then I got into the chair... She said my hair was a color correction because it was very dark and has been lightened by someone else.. she said it was brassy, which it was but I didn't think it was as horrible as she made it seem. I told her I was nervous because I didn't want me hair to look or feel like grass. She promised me it wouldn't and that she could get me to my desired result if not in one process, definitely in two. I was excited, and so I put my hair in her hands.. long story short, the blonde that she added was pretty gold but it was okay it at first... she said she could put a darker toner on it.. I didn't know what that meant but When I heard the word darker I immediately said that I had wanted to be lighter(today and get lighter eventually) . after I washed it a couple times, the week after and I noticed that my whole head become more red and my hair started to look and feel like dry grass.. I called and said that I needed to come back and get it fixed. She told me that I was happy when I left so she'd have to charge me more money. I thought that she had written specialist?? I had already spent $300 in her chair and was there for 6 hours.. after that phone call I decided to take my business close by and elsewhere to get my hair fixed. I have been going to Daisy since February 2018 and have done a total of three sessions. She is amazing. Let me tell you I went to her with having 10 years of blue black hair and using box dye , don't ever do it yourself. My goal is to reach a silver or charcoal color that will blend in with my gray hair. Not there yet, but slowly getting there. At first I will admit I was scare as hell not knowing how I would come out of there. She gave me total confidence and three sessions later I still trust her a . Yes, transformation gets expensive but my advise to you. If you are going to invest in your hair invest well in the following up with products she recommeds, taking care of it yourself and using quality products. Before I had went to the salon to do my hair I had texted Daisy because I wanted to know if I chose the right service for my hair, I had chosen the root touch up. I had sent her pictures of how my hair use to be when it was done at another salon( balayage) and a recent photo with my roots grown out after months of not doing it. She said that would be considered a balayage. The day I came in to do my hair she was confused on what I wanted, she thought I wanted to go lighter, I told her i just wanted my roots done with the color I already had ( blonde.) Long story short I came out with short hair and the opposite of blonde. My hair was past my chest area and Daisy had cut it very short. It took me years to become blonde and now I'm back to dark hair! She kept saying just keep washing it will get lighter. I am very disappointed in this place never again am I coming back and to top it off I paid almost $300! She would tell me what she was doing to my hair, I also got it cut (a big chunk) and it was the perfect length (she recommended) for the hairstyle I wear most days. Daisy gets 5 stars and more in my opinion. She's very genuine and truly tries to achieve the hair goal you are going for. How many times do we walk into a hair salon and tell them what we want and by the end they've done what they want. Definitely not here. She explains the process and tells you what we need to do to achieve your dream hair. Sometimes this means it will take sessions, we have to patient. Especially for us blondes.
