only a few staff members have design experience/artistic skill for nails. a few members of staff will rush the nails they give you which can result in them cutting your fingers (usually with nail files for me), and the man who sits in there everyday on his phone (i think he's the owner?) always rushes sets of nails. he doesnt follow the reference images given and gives something different than asked. he also has a tendency to complain toward the end of the appointment when he wants to be done and you request him to fix something he forgot. 3 or 4 of the staff off the top of my head are very talented, friendly and accommodating.. I only feel its worth going if they're there; that's the only way to expect you'll get what you're asking for with proper quality. read more

Long story short: Definitely not a friendly salon and definitely not an indulgent, relaxing experience. BUT my nails look pretty great (with the exception of what you'll see below...top coat issue) so they get 3 stars. The salon looked nice and was clean. Service was fast, which is always nice, but it definitely wasn't as relaxing as I would have liked. I went on my birthday for an indulgent no-chip mani/pedi and was out the door in less than an hour. I even told them it was my birthday and they responded "Oh." Color selection for no-chip was completely awful, they have some on display like salons typically do (on the white fake nail chips), but not really (see my pic) and so we had to open the polishes to see the colors. And due to the lack of friendliness, they didn't explain that so we were standing there confused for a while. Meh. On my way out some other women were standing by the no chip and were extremely confused about this, too, and I stopped over to explain you have to open the bottles because their display sucks. As for the service: They said they do massage (I specifically asked, "will you do a massage as part of the service?" and they said "yes, with lotion, of course") but they didn't - they put lotion on my hands, they didn't massage them. At all. It was about a 10 second process. Seriously lame. Also they did an exfoliator on my legs and that's it. I saw someone else was getting a lengthy massage with oil. Why not me? :( The end result looks pretty good, but the top coat is a little sketchy and blotchy in parts. I'll try to add a pic. Oh and I almost forgot. They gave us a hard time about paying via credit card. We asked up front if we could and she said no, cash or debit. And we said oh ok then we need to leave and she begrudgingly said credit was fine. read more

Had a mediocre mani-pedi after moving into the neighborhood form the GTA. How I miss my old salon. Left here in a hurry (cause they want you out) She came by to spray from "fast dry" solution on my feet and told me they were dry. I went home and looked at them properly and the nail polish had completely smudged on my big toe. I was so upset. $40 job that should've cost maybe 20...if that. Never going back. read more

This is my second time going and leaving upset. I went there for a shellac paint job and left with ny nails peeling. She didn't even file the tips of my nails underneath. I called and they sounded like I was lying. I look rediculous now. They charged me 20 bucks and sneered when I have a little tip because how outrageous of a price for a simple paint job. I won't ever be going back. This isn't the first time me or someone else has left with bubbling polish. They might just need new lamps but don't try telling them. They won't even paint flowers. Very sorry to give a negative review. I had a set of gel nails put on and they were very nice. Had a fill done when it was required and the gel was put on way too thick. I asked the gentleman who seems to be the owner if it was and he dismissed my concern. Well, listen, I couldn't even pick up a quarter off of a table. I was also told they looked like chiclets (pieces of gum). I went today at 11:00 a.m. to have them removed and the same guy actually peeled them off each finger. When I asked if this was how he was going to do this, he replied, "ya, how do you think they get off ?" I found this to be somewhat uncomfortable and a little painful for a few nails while he slid a false nail underneath the gel nail, and peeled it off each of my own nail. It left my own nails very rough and thin and rather tender to touch as I feel that he peeled much of my own nail off along with the gel nails. After he was done, he stood up, told me to wash my hands and he walked away. I paid for this service and I won't be back. read more
