I've been going here for years. When the old owners were there and with the new orders. Every time has been great. The people are super nice and friendly. My family loves the pizza and all of the other stuff we have tried. I usually get the chicken Greek salad. Decided to use them for a catering order recently for about 30 people. Everyone kept asking where the food was rom and went back for seconds. They gave us an incredible amount of food plus free salad and delicious garlic knots. I highly recommend! read more

I don't ever like writing the following words about a New Jersey or New York pizza place, but I didn't like the pizza here. The salads here are ok, and so are the sandwiches and the pasta meals...pricey, but good. But I don't like the pizza here, and that's what I've come in for...twice, only to be woefully disappointed by thick, undercooked thin-style pizza. The people working here are great...and both times they gave me another slice and made it well done, which made it a little better. Giuseppe's, you got three stars for your other food, which I enjoyed, but I really would like to give you and extra star for better pizza... I've eaten bad NY/NJ style pizza all over the country...it shouldn't happen here in Jersey. Hopefully I just hit them on a couple of bad days-it happens sometimes. My wife and I went here out of desperation. We were returning from an appt in the area and were headed down the shore. Nothing was open in the area...except fast food which we didn't want. It was almost closing time so the pizza options were minimal. Staff was counting their daily $ but we didn't feel rushed. So with closing time you get end of day pizza. It wasn't too bad. I had the chicken parm slice and she went with veggie. I actually liked hers better. The chicken on mine was chewy but her veggies still tasted fresh. Crust was thin. Slice held up. This is a very mediocre pizza restaurant located in the strip mall. My kids actually liked it so I am inclined to give it three stars but the quality of the food really makes it deserve itwo stars. The sauce wasnt very tasty, there was way too much cheese, and it was relatively low quakity and most importantly the crust was under done. When you're in New Jersey you are held to a higher standard. You have to get crossed the sauce and the cheese right and they failed miserably on all three of these. Decided to come back here after not ordering for a while. I had good yummy memories. I ordered pick up for work, one panini, one wrap, and a sandwich. This must have been a very complicated sandwich because I ordered a BLT without tomatoes and I recieved (after confirming over the phone with them what I wanted in this sandwich) a freaking CHEESESTEAK WITH TOMATOES! They offered a free sandwich but I'm not coming back. Please just listen to your order and don't try to be fancy. A BLT without tomatoes isn't hard. My coworker didn't eat it because she hates cheesesteak. The other two orders came out fine but really?? A BLT without the T is this confusing??? I have been a longtime fan of this local pizza parlor, but the slices I got today were terrible. The crust was limp and too thick, and had the wrong balance of tomato sauce plus cheese. I can't attest for the pizza however as a sit down dinner this place is the pits. The food is not at all worth the price. This is quality reserved for a hole in the wall charging $8 a dish, however here it is $13 and up. The calamari app came basically without any breading whatsoever and any dish is flooded with pasta to make up for the lack of taste. Your waiters are all high schoolers who really don't have any experience and ask you if you want ice in your beer glass (understandable again given he was prob 16 years old). It's byob which is nice but definitely look elsewhere for good Italian food, which isn't hard to find around NJ. read more

My family and I came in on a Saturday night in August for a last-minute, late dinner. Everything was delicious! We ordered the chicken Murphy, veal Milanese, two children's spaghetti and meatballs and an adult ravioli. I'm particular about restaurant red sauce/gravy, and theirs is very good. I'd happily eat any pasta dish from here and that's saying a lot. Sometimes even higher end Italian restaurants turn out a bland marinara, but Giuseppe's was very flavorful. Their meal accompaniments were also great. The salads were crisp and fresh and my Italian wedding soup was delicious and clearly freshly made. I almost forgot to mention our Fried Calamari appetizer. It was excellent. The calamari was fresh and deep fried perfectly so it was crisp, but not overcooked. If you are looking for a casual but delicious Italian meal, try Giuseppe's. I would be remiss not to add that the staff was so friendly and hospitable. We are glad to support this small business! read more

The Man stopped in here to grab a few slices while I was next door grabbing sushi. We usually go to one of the other pizza places in town, but thought we'd give this place a shot since they recently started delivering - gotta know if it's worth spending the money, ya know? The interior of the restaurant has your pretty standard pseudo-Italian decor - murals/photos that are supposed to be Italy, kitschy signs, fake terra cotta "roof" pieces, etc. Everything was very clean, and the staff was straightening things up behind the counter when he walked in. The Man ordered 4 slices - 2 sausage, a plain, and a Hawaiian as well as an order of garlic knots. The food was ready quickly, and we took it home as soon as I had picked up my order. We only live a few miles from the restaurant, so everything was still hot when we sat down to eat. Of the order, he finished off the two sausage slices and we split half of the garlic knots. The order was supposed to have 6 pieces, but it looks like they accidentally threw 7 or 8 in there. He enjoyed his pizza. The crust was thin with a generous amount of sausage atop the melty cheese. Not the best pizza we've had in town, but we think it would be worth paying a delivery fee for when we're too lazy to go out. The garlic knots were two-biters, though they didn't have as much flavor as we expected considering how much garlic was on them. The other two slices and the rest of the garlic knots went in our fridge. I reheated them in the oven a few days later. Everything came out surprisingly well the second time around. I was able to grab a bite of the Hawaiian slice, and actually enjoyed that. Yes, I'm aware the pineapple "doesn't belong on pizza", but neither does buffalo chicken, baked ziti, and the hundreds of other things pizzerias put on their pies in an effort to diversify and satisfy their customers. At the end of the day, I like pineapple on my pizza, and I enjoyed it on this particular slice. The ham they used was clearly sliced deli ham, but it wasn't overly salty. It had just enough flavor to play off the tart-sweet of the pineapple without overshadowing the sauce and cheese. The garlic knots lost a little bit of the lovely crustiness they had when fresh, but didn't lose any of their flavor (which was good, since they were already a bit lacking to begin with). I love pizza and I love delivery, so there's a high likelihood that we'll be ordering from this place so long as they are willing to bring hot pizza to my front door. When we want to go out for some slices, though, there are better options in the area. read more

I don't know why they would call this a gourmet pizzeria....someone must be outta of their minds! The pizza is doughy and too cheesy that you can't taste the sauce. Even my todder who you would think kids would like any pizza had a hard time swallowing this pizza. If you want gourmet pizza, go to DiMaio's in Berkeley Heights, NJ. I came to this place since it would be affordable for a family and for hanging out with my girlfriends' families. I felt compelled to write here after I ate their delicious sauteed spinach with garlic. I ordered it with meatballs for two appetizers as my dinner since I am on a low carb diet. Let me run next door to Shoprite and get some (since they don't make pineapple and ham pizzas too often here.) They have a large selection of choices.
