Natasha did a wonderful job on my hair! I asked for a cut with face layers. She took the time to style it because it was a slower day. She knew exactly what I wanted. Happy I found a new hair lady that I can trust. Thanks girl! read more

I came upon this salon a while ago and now it's time for my review. I had a previous pixie cut that grew out and was at a very awkward stage. I called the salon and was seen the same day by Maysaa, she fixed my pixie into the cutest little bob and with a couple months it grew out evenly. Fast forward I came back to her and decided to get some lighter highlights to add some pop to my hair and again seen by Maysaa and loved it! Fast forward again I ditched the blond and got my hair a dark copper and loved it even more! Definitely sticking to red from now on. And every time I am seen by Maysaa she has the growing thumb my hair has grown so much with her trims and care for my hair. Couldn't ask for a better hairstylist ! read more

Thank you Taylor for saving the day! I went to a different nail technician and she completely ruined my nails. I wanted a classic French tip for an upcoming wedding and the results were so embarrassing (thick, bulky, and unpresentable) that I desperately needed these fixed immediately. A friend of mines recommended Taylor. Taylor was kind enough to squeeze me in her busy schedule. She was so patient and made sure to fix them exactly how I wanted them. My nails are so beautiful, I love them and can't wait to show them off! I highly recommend going to Taylor for your nails! read more

Everyone here is so kind and welcoming and I'm glad to have found a salon that I can trust instead of hopping from salon to salon like in the past. Natasha does my hair and she is amazing! People will ask me who does my hair color and I'll always refer them to Natasha. She works fast but efficiently and the hair wash is very relaxing as well. I always walk out of the salon feeling like a new woman! Thank you Natasha!! read more

Sarah is an awesome nail tech. She does exactly what I ask for, and is very creative. Her prices are reasonable, she actually speaks English, and best of all, she has a very sweet personality. I was looking for someone to do a pedicure for me. I have scars on my feetthat I'm a little embarrassed about so I was looking for a place that was no judgment and that would make me feel comfortable. I met Sarah via Facebook and she said she would help me out. She did my pedicure and she did a wonderful job and was so kind. I felt completely comfortable with her. So I went in to get a haircut and there was a language issue because she speaks spanish and I spoke english. So she wasn't taking directions very well. Next thing you know, most my hair was cut and gone. I wanted a simple hair cut, but now I look like a man. I was upset but kept my cool. She said I can come in for a free haircut the next time. A month goes by and I call to set an appointment. The lady I spoke to said I had to come in within 7 days or its no good. What do they expect to happen within 7 days? I do not recommend getting your extensions done at this salon. You will not get what you want or what you pay for. Went here in September and had extensions put in (thermal fusion method). Went back in December to order new hair and set a date for the removal of the old ones and addition of the new ones. We set the appointment for the uninstall/ reinstall more than a month out. Paid my deposit of almost 400 to cover the cost of the hair plus some. Because of my past experience with this particular stylist (she had canceled on me before, tried to reschedule for appointments already set, and even showed up late one time) I reached out to confirm the appointment a couple of days before. She advised she was sick and it would depend on how she felt. The next day (day before the scheduled appointment) she said she was still sick and unable to keep our appointment. Normally I would be flexible with rescheduling, but due to the amount of time the process would take, and my schedule, this is the only day that worked for me. She is the only one at this salon certified in this extension method, so I found someone at another salon who was able to schedule me for that day. I arranged to pick up the hair from the salon. When I got home I took the extensions out of the bag so I could send a photo of the hair color to the new stylist at the other salon. Back in December we had ordered two packs of one color and one pack of another color. The hair I was looking at was the opposite of what I had requested (one pack of the color that was supposed to have two and two packs of the color that was supposed to have one). There were also pieces of hair missing from the one-pack. I texted the stylist and asked if the vendor had sent the wrong combination of hair and let her know some was missing. Her response was that the hair she gave me was based on the original photo I had shown her of what I wanted (back in December it was decided that exact color was not achievable with the colors available and that's when I decided on the two packs of one color and one pack of the other). She went on to say that hair was missing because the one color was more expensive and she didn't charge me extra for it. It wasn't that she didn't have more than one pack of that particular color (she ordered four to be exact), but advised the color I wanted could be achieved with what she gave me. I advised her that although I could achieve something comparable to the look I was going for, that was not the point. The point was what I ordered, what I paid for, was not what I received. I also told her that she had never mentioned the additional cost of the one color, and if she had I would have paid for it. My deposit was also $65 more than what she quoted me for the cost of the hair, so she could have taken the extra money from there. She did not apologize for the liberties she took or offer to rectify the situation. Due to the blatant disregard of doing what I requested, what was agreed upon, and what I paid for, I want nothing further to do with this stylist or salon and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I am sad to right this review. I have been a client here for 10+ years or I should say was. This may get a little wordy so the short story is a complete lack of professionalism from both the front desk and the stylist. So I get a message 10 minutes before my appoint for cut and color. I call the receptionist back told her I was upset but understood. This is how the conversation went: R-Would you like to reschedule? Me- Yes, when do you think she'll be done with the sickness? R- I don't know I don't know if she will be in tomorrow or when Me (confused) okay never mind then end About a half hour later I call back. I get the same receptionist. Me- I would like to reschedule my cut but not the color R- Okay for when? Me - I don't know when do you think she will be over being Sick and back ? R- What day is a good day for you? Me- Laughing I don't know today was a good day for me but she's sick, when do you think she will be done with this sickness and back in? R- Oh, um Monday at 9 am? Me-perfect Okay the receptionist needs a little help seeing the big picture but she seemed really nice and I kept a positive attitude (Or so I thought) I get a text from my stylist (Tawni) letting me know that the receptionist told her I was upset with the cancelation and asking me about it. I wasn't going to text back but I didn't want her to think I was upset with her So I sent text back explaining I was upset with the situation. DUH who wouldn't be, like seriously. I got a horrible message back telling me I was horrible to the receptionist??? and telling her that I should not be making her feel guilty for being sick and taking care of her family. Um, I never blamed her no was I ever upset with her. This really hurt my feelings I have been her client for over 10 years and she know I have kids and that if anyone would understand I would. Then I became angry that she could text me that I am a horrible person but not that she wasn't going to make our appointment before I drove all the way out there? Even more hurtful because I was trying to work around her needs. Trying to make sure she had enough time to recover. So the haircuts are good but I go to a salon to relax and feel good too, I can't feel comfortable knowing that they talk crap about there clients. read more

I got my hair done here, cut and color and it turned out HORRIBLY! I had longer hair at the time and wanted it cut to my shoulders and toned down to a little bit darker color, I thought it would not have been that hard. The treasured First to Review! I can't believe no one has reviewed this place!! The only reason I can think of is that it resides in El Cajon, but I would drive long and far (its not even that far) for a good hair cut. Wouldn't you? Very nice place. Clean, nice decor, friendly faces, a nice staff including a couple of assistants which helps things run really smooth. I did not have to wait for my appointment. I was recommended to Malory by a couple of different girls at work who raved about how good she was. I searched for her on yelp. I was very confused when she was not on her. I am such a loyal yelper that it almost turns me off when there is no yelp reviews!!! We must change this! Malory was great. I wanted to go from a bleach blond to a dark brunette. I told my previous hair dresser this at my last appointment and she basically told me no. She said it would be too much of a process and she liked my blond. Well, pooh. Okay, I'll stay blonde I guess. Now Malory was excited to take on this challenge! She died my hair once, washed it, blow dried it. "I think we need to do it again, its not taking." Died it, washed it, dried it. "Lets do it one more time, I don't want you walking out of here unless its perfect." Died it, washed it dried it. PERFECT. She also gave me a great trim and cute bangs. Nothing over the top, and no more than what I asked for. She cut my hair to the exact image I had before walking in that day which is a Godsend because usually hairdressers let their creativity get the best of them. New haircuts are fun, but being the experiment is never that fun for 6 weeks. I would recommend Malory to anyone. She is friendly and easy to talk to. This place is a full service salon, there are ladies doing nails on the perimeter (the speak english...pshhh) and there is also skin care being done. Cool salon. SUPER affordable. The location. Hmmm. Well, it is right of the freeway. I did get side tracked while waiting for my appointment. I went to the Target parking lot and then ended up in an overpriced frozen yogurt shop. Its near stuff... Star*ucks.. ect. I am always on the search for a good salon, and I found one! read more

Julianne is AMAZING!! I take my wife here anytime she wants/needs her hair styled, Cut, Highlighted or anything she wants to get. Customer service is extremely friendly here even though I only get my haircut every few months. I have been going here once or twice a month for the last 6 months with my wife! I like the fact even though I'm not the one getting my hair done that Julianne and her team are very polite and personable. Julianne is really experienced and knows what to do in any type of color correction or any problems that my wife's hair may have. My wife always walks out with a smile and I have to admit she always looks really beautiful thanks to Julianne. This most recent time my wife got highlights and they turned out extremely well I can't believe that such a small thing as getting your hair highlighted can transform the way that someone looks I'm ecstatic. I have been to many salons in my life but I know that the quality and the friendliness here really makes this the go to salon. I really like how you can get everything done here from your nails to your toes to your hair Julianne is the best hair stylist in San Diego. Thank you Julianne you are absolutely amazing and we will see you again in the few weeks you. read more

Heather Dawn is by far the BEST Hair Dresser and make up artist I know out in El Cajon. My first appointment with her was for a dry hair cut and she did such an amazing job. I was so satisfied with my hair cut. Therefor, I went in a second time to dye my hair and for a little trim and once again she nailed it. So, when it came down to finding a highly specialized stylist to do my hair and make up for my special day (aka wedding) Heather instantly came to mind. I couldn't be anymore pleased with her and her fabulous job. Heather is AMAZING I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to get excellent hair and make up service!!! read more
