I LOVE PICKLES! AND IF YOU DO TOO, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!! Some people just don't like pickles, yanno? But if you do, YOU COME HERE IMMEDIATELY. They have no joke, the best fried pickles I've ever had in my life. And a million different fun flavors to try of pickles! Like jolly rancher? Hello? This is an entire experience! They also have Pickle boats!!! In the most incredible flavors! Overall, unique menu items, and the service is a million out of ten. 10/10 would recommend, will be back again!

This had me rollinnnnnnnnn. Didn't come home but there are tons of cute little gifts to buy your pickle lover.

Had to see the "dill" for myself at Giovanni's Dillicious Pickles in Croydon, PA and boy was I ready for it. As a self proclaimed "pickle lover" I have been beyond ready for this moment for all of my life! I did make a reservation just to be safe. In my own personal opinion, Giovannis is a big dill. We loved it! From stepping in we were greeted and really felt welcomed. The service was unmatched seriously the best. Attentive & just all around fantastic. We started off with a pickle tasting platter consisting of a few different kinds of pickles they have for sale in a refrigerator by the register. Our favorite was the cotton candy, surprisingly. I didn't think that would be a fave but it was, we had to buy a jar of it. The sampler was very good. The everything bagel & garlic were also dillish (ok I'll stop). We ordered the large fried pickle chips. Yummmm. The Giovanni sauce was soooo good. We also got the 12" pickle pizza, Reuben corned beef hoagie, & the buffalo chicken dilly boat. It was totally worth the ride out portion sizes were massive and I am so happy I finally got to try the hoagie. I know I've been slacking!! The bill was fair we ordered a lot. Will definitely be back and make sure to bring my pickle loving friends along too! We can't wait to try the other pizzas as well.

    Pickle sampler!

Went for my daughters birthday! Staff and food were amazing. Tried the fried pickles, pizza and two boats. They start the meal with a pickle sampler, cotton candy, cherry chocolate, garlic and our fav sweet horseradish! Definitely recommend if you want to try something new

Sometimes it pays to have a second look when the first seems inadequate to properly assess a business. In the case of Giovanni's DILLicious Pickles in Croyden, PA, that goes double because not only did I find out after my review was published that these folks really don't do food trucks, but also that the things they really do are very worthy of mention and accolades. Of course, pickles are an esoteric accompaniment for most delis, and it is highly unusual to find a shop that specializes exclusively in the brine fish in all their glorious alternatives. Giovanni's does just that, with more than a dozen flavors to suit your sour tooth. No bread or rolls here; only large pickles scooped out to hold sandwich makings that result in the most unique handholds for munching and crunching. Beyond that, they specialize in pickle pizzas on cauliflower crust that transcend our understanding of what tomato pie should be. In fact, some would consider them the equal of the red Marzano variety, or at least their equal. I stopped in to their small eatery after hearing from ownership about my earlier review that knocked their showing at a local brewery. They assured me that my experience was not representative of the quality of their menu, and invited me to visit and see for myself. No problem. I never want to leave a bad impression that is inaccurate. Turned out that their kitchen cheffed an excellent pizza - crisp crust, thin dill slices, mozzarella and a ranch dressing drizzle and light dill spice over all. Right out of their oven it was delicious. Same was true for the Fried Pickles. Thin breading and deep fried with a semi sweet dipping sauce, they were a crunch and a half that made me smile on first bite. A real fun food. A wash down with Kutztown Pure Cane Sugar Black Cherry soda was the perfect complement to the tangy sourness of the gerkins. A moderate sweetness and childhood memory to go with the half dollar sized toppings on the pie. A table sampling preceded the mains with 5-6 of their biggest hitters. A cool way to start my lunch. Service was warm and hospitalble. Gabby the owner was more than happy to chat with me and explain the history of her food enterprises and plans for the future. Easy to see her love, passion and creativity at work. The least I could do was invest in her vision with a positive review. This was one of those times when second impressions overwhelmed the first. Definitely worth a check out if your wandering palate is curious about the bounds of pickle universe. I was delighted to have my eyes opened. 5 Pickled Stars

My Mom and I had lunch here and even though it's small, it's not as small as you think! The employee waiting on us was extremely kind! She gave us a pickle sample that included Everything Bagel pickles, Garlic pickles, Pumpkin Spice pickles and Cotton Candy pickles. Not all my favorite, but it was interesting to say the least. For my main entree I got the hot pickle pizza that had cauliflower crust, hot sauce and of course pickles on it. My Mom got the Buffalo chicken hoagie that came in a little Halloween like box, which was cute! By the end of the meal I went up to pay and saw cake pops and grabbed one. Unbeknownst to me it was pickle flavored. It wasn't overbearing, but definitely surprising! Definitely a place I'd like to come back to and try something new!

The pickle hoagie concept has tickled my fancy in the more recent months. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with pickles but I do enjoy one from time to time. I originally had plans to visit a pickle hoagie shop in NJ, but a simple Google search led me to Giovanni's in Croydon, PA. When we walked in, we were greeted by a woman who asked if we were taking out or dining in. The restaurant was empty so she said we could seat ourselves. She provided menus and asked what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down. Excellent service right off the bat. To start, we asked for the Mini Dill Dippers. These were incredible. Cream cheese is one of my weaknesses and these little pickle boats were loaded with cream cheese. Topped with everything seasoning and you have yourself a tasty appetizer. While we waited for our pickle hoagies, someone from the kitchen brought out a complimentary board of assorted sliced pickles in different brines (not pictured). I loved them all, but the red one was my favorite. Based on what I saw in other reviews, I'm assuming it was cherry. A very kind gesture on the staff's behalf. Finally, the highly anticipated pickle hoagie. I ordered The Big Tuna. I have to say eating a hoagie on a pickle can get pretty messy, but nonetheless, it was incredible. I wish it had cheese on it, but the tuna salad and other ingredients combined with the crunch of the pickle was a winner. The reason I knocked it down a star was parking. There is a Septa lot across the way (which is free until December 31st) but street parking isn't an option and no other lot is available. I can't deny that this is a unique spot to bring family and friends especially if they're pickle lovers.

Oh em gee! This is everything I didn't know I needed in my life! The dill pickle pizza was superb! The vibes lend itself to the pickle mania and I am here for it! I will come back every time I'm in Philly.

If you love pickles and all things pickle related then this is the place for you. My wife and I tried it out the other day. We had a pizza with lettuce, tomato and of course pickles. We tried a pickle sub (with pickles instead of bread) and a pickle cheeseburger. The owner and staff were very nice and the interior was decorated with all things pickle. We had a nice time and the food was good.

This is a fun pickle-forward restaurant that is also gluten free! Unfortunately when I went, the deep fryer wasn't working, so I couldn't get the fried pickles, and I was really looking forward to those. But everything else I had was delicious! I highly recommend the pickle pizza! I've never had a gluten free crust before, but it was very crispy and caramelized and worked excellently with the richness of the toppings. The chicken salad was delicious as well. Our waitress was super attentive and even let us try a sample of the cherry pickles with a side of chocolate sauce. I like the cherry pickles better with the chocolate than without. The ambiance is a chill vibe, with board games in stock if you want to have a fun time with friends or kids. This restaurant is right next to the Croydon SEPTA station, so it's easy to access. I recommend testing it out for sure.

Stopped in today for lunch. To see what all the excitement was about. I got the Buffalo Dilly pickle boat. It was good. But definitely not filling. And for $8.95 you think it would come with a can of soda. Or extra chips. Or atleast charge $6.95 for something that size. I'm not bashing the place. It's good. Just not worth the price. Especially for the small size of a pickles with meat thrown on it. The owner is nice. And really hope for the best for them. But I don't think I'll be back. If you plan to eat inside. Bring a coat. It's like being at Lambeau Field in the frozen tundra.

I called immediately and ordered a large pizza and a chicken Parm sandwich for our group. Once I got a taste of the chicken Parm sandwich, there was no way anyone else was touching it. It was delectable! The chicken was quality, and it was very tender. The roll was soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside just as it should be. The next day, I was kind of hankering for it again so I called and ordered another chicken Parm sandwich. It was every bit as delectable as the day before. Flash forward two days and I decided I can't go back to the Bay Area without having pizza considering SF pizza is not that good. I ordered the Sicilian. Oh my God! It was the best pizza I have ever eaten. It had to have weighed 20 pounds. I am not kidding you. It has 20 large pieces and it was only $26!! in San Francisco that pizza would cost near $100 bucks. I told my brother-in-law that it was the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life and that is 100% true. The people who work here are smart and amazing and very helpful. The seating area has several tables and they sell slices. On my first trip I tried a cheesesteak, my son had a cheeseburger and my youngest had chicken fingers. We brought home mozzarella sticks for my wife to try. The chicken fingers were the smaller/thin, bland frozen type. The burger was sizable, had a nice brioche bun and overall was pretty standard. The mozzarella sticks were "beer battered" and not too bad. My cheesesteak could have used more cheese to melt and mix with the steak. The steak was chopped, but was a better quality than the basic cardboard steak some places serve. The meat wasn't greasy, but was a tad overcooked. The roll was fresh and toasted. I asked for hot peppers and got the standard yellow hot banana. I gave the sandwich an average score. Points for it not being drippy and greasy. On my second visit I ordered a small 12" pizza and asked for it to be cooked well done. It was ready in ten minutes. The crust was fresh and not too soft/not too crispy and thankfully not chewy. Cheese was a tad sweet, stringy and not overly greasy. The sauce was rich and tangy. Tasted like a cross between a pasta and pizza sauce. I thought the pizza was just above average and would repeat. The owner took care of me both times and was extremely nice. I would definitely repeat if I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks guys and best of luck!
