Spaghetti with meat sauce
Jacque S.

We were staying the weekend in Muskogee and decided to give this place a try based on the previous review. The restaurant is very clean and the décor is beautiful. They bring out fresh baked bread, it was soft and tasted great alone but we ordered olive oil, basil, and garlic dip too. Wonderful start to our meal. A side note, the tea was very flavorful! I ordered a classic spaghetti and meat sauce, my husband ordered a tortellini dish. Both dishes were delicious. My husband was about to eat all of his, I was not- but not because it wasn't good, it was too much for me- that's not always a bad thing. I would definitely suggest eating here if you're in the area or driving through. I've got a sensitive stomach and this didn't cause me any issues at all!

Baked ziti

Fast-fresh-delicious After we were seated, we were quickly and friendly greeted. We were hungry and ready. We ordered our drinks and our food at the same time. It was like magic- not only did the waters appear almost instantly, our bar order wasn't far behind with the mouth watering bread basket. Then BOOM the fresh, hot, cheese smoothed, food was in front of us waiting to be devoured! This place has been saved as a favorite! My son got the chicken Alfredo, my husband got the baked ziti, and I got the eggplant with spaghetti. *Pics included*

Pasta, chicken, mushrooms and dried red peppers, Parmesan cheese
Great B.

Went here for lunch, enjoyed everything from hospitality to tasty food. I had the Alfredo with chicken and added mushrooms. No complaints and timing was spot on.

Stromboli

A friend of mine and I were looking for a good place for lunch and decided to try o it Gino's and it did not disappoint! The service was fast and great. We were seated quickly and our food was fresh and hot. The bring out fresh bread to start off with and a big bowl of butter. So good! Then I had the Stromboli and it was amazing. The sauce was delicious to dip it in and it was full of meat and cheese. Definitely would recommend and will be back again. We were in and out stuffed in 30-45 minutes.

The food was great with huge portion sizes. Service was kind of slow having to wait awhile for our drinks but they were all very sweet.

A half salad and/or sandwich or half soup. Maybe a spud? My go to sandwiches are either the chicken and avocado -or the Italian. The Italian, I do not recommend for a to go order, because your bread and your clothes will be drenched in the messy oil- vinaigrette type substance on that particular sandwich. Same as the Reuben. I love their Reuben!! However, today I got a simple chips and cheese dip pick up. I am really glad how well they plan your drippy take homes, with a plastic wrapping for the nacho dip cheese. They will toss in a small sample cup with a lid full of sliced jalapeños. I do recommend! *if you're not on a lunch break, enjoy your meal anyway. Try a 50/50 tea!!

Well the guy delivering food to tables said he'd bring it out. 10 minutes more passed beyond my pickup time, and I went to the counter. He "forgot and got stuck on a call". No apology. I then waited a few minutes more before someone gave me my order from the back. And I had no honey mustard that was supposed to be in my order. This wouldn't normally bother me so badly, but it all took so long that lunch break was over. Honestly it's so expensive to eat here that I won't be back without a good coupon anyway.

If you're road tripping anywhere near Porter, stop here. This is one of those places you read about…read morein "best hidden road trip stops" articles and it actually lives up to it. The Peach Barn is packed with specialty jars, fresh baked goods, and things you didn't know you needed. The pickles? The best I've ever had. So good I came home and ordered more of them on Amazon from the Amish Wedding company because I refused to run out. Grab more than one jar. Trust me. I also tried the salad dressings and baked goods and everything tasted fresh and high quality. The shop isn't huge but there is enough room for everyone shopping and plenty of nice staff around. Pro tip: sample what you can and buy more than you think you need. I under bought and regretted it immediately. This is a stock up every time you travel kind of stop.

I felt like I was on a farm and I loved it! The service was also great! I was asked if needed help looking for anything! If I am ever passing through the small town of Porter, OK, I will definitely be stopping by again! Thank you PEACH BARN!

Max's/Maxine's is an "ole' reliable" when it comes to the traditional bar scene. Great place to…read moredance the night away with locals. But they've really stepped up their game with the restaurant side of the operation. The food is truly outstanding. The burgers rival any burger in Muskogee. The fried mushrooms are hand breaded and not just fried from frozen, and they are worth getting every single visit. The ranch is top notch. They offer a really delicious Saturday brunch menu, but I wish they would do Sunday brunch. They decorate big for Christmas every year, which is really fun. And they have a seasonal photo area that always has a cute backdrop. The only real struggle with Max's is consistent service. It seems like they are always short-handed and very slow. They take reservations for big groups, but don't actually use them, so you still have to wait, which defeats the purpose of reservations. But I'll continue to go for those fried mushrooms!

Our server was nice and did his best for a large crowd, honestly he was perfectly fine and this…read morereview should be no reflection on him. The burger meat was good. Potato skins are tolerable, and the ranch is made in house. Otherwise, this place is terrible and consistently the worst dining experience I have ever had in Muskogee. It takes at least 60-90 minutes to get your meal, which is usually wrong, and good luck getting drinks or appetizers. They are always woefully understaffed, and typically the staff seems like they hate being here as much as we do (tonight was an exception, staff was friendly). Included a photo of the updated fries in case you think they're the nice looking ones from years ago: nope, they're great value "McD's" knockoff fries. Thankfully this last experience convinced our group of friends to never return. Don't make the same mistake as us. If it was a single night of this, I'd give it a pass or wait and see. Well, I waited, and I saw, after 5-6 visits in here is just no salvaging the eating experience here.
