Well, I can say I have been in a couple of times to try and sell some clothes. Clothes thrown on the floor and then said sorry. I know I'll never try that again. Seems they only want the high end stuff. I know I will not be gong back and do not recommend going here. Well I guess leather and suede pants do go out of style. Ginger's Closet is a fantastic find in Peabody, MA. The quality of clothes they sell there is excellent and the prices are unbeatable! They also carry a regular selection of brand names shoes and handbags. Names such as Coach, Ann Taylor, Liz Claiborne, Talbots, etc. I not only consign at Ginger's Closet but I am a frequent shopper there as well. I would definitely recommend it!!! read more

Love this store. Have been once and will definitely go back. Customer service is excellent. Very helpful and you do not feel pressured to buy anything or stared at while you are browsing. Went in on a saturday, I believe. The woman at the counter even offered to reduce the price of some belts my mother was purchasing. She was super friendly and also had a sense of humor which made me feel comfortable. I generally have anxiety going into little shops, not here. I've been consigning and shopping at Ginger's Closet for a few years now. Transactions are extremely easy and Heather is super flexible about looking at clothes - even when the store is busy - as Saturday is the only say I can make it in. She takes only gently used current designer items. They are re-sold for extremely reasonable prices and she is beyond nice about not accepting something but still appreciating that you brought it in. She gives you the tags of anything of yours that sells so you get an idea of what people in that area want - when you bring back more items. The last time I was there I must have unloaded about 25 almost new or never worn items. I took home some Michael Kors, Levi Strauss, and Coach items for myself - all under $50 total. I think it's so pathetic and tacky that Yelp HIDES good reviews for this store. What is the point of small businesses being listed on here? Go to Ginger's - you'll be AMAZED at what you'll find. I have been there; and do not think I will return. The owner promised to hold an item for me til the next day. When I came back with the cash 300 plus dollars she sold the item. Also , never apologized.So much for integrity. Shop somewhere else. Her list of hours is not reliable. read more

Ginger' Closet is one of the few gems I have found in the North Shore. Owner, Heather is welcoming like her little consignment shop. Unlike that overpriced consignment shop on Broadway in Lynn, Ginger's Closet has designer name merchandise at a steal. Full length Mink coat for $300 when another consignment was offering same style for $600. Heather is friendly and appreciative to everyone for their business. As a small business owner she is on top of what's in season, changing her merchandise with the season, knowing her customers by name, and willing to bargain when the customer is already getting the item for a good price. Great deals for a steal. Take it from a repeat customer to this consignment shop first and foremost, Ginger's Closet is the place to go to first when you are shopping. read more
