Catherine was a terrific therapist, best treatment I have had in awhile. Easy to make an appointment, comfortable place.

Support local women ran businesses in Point Richmond and I just melted into the massage bed through Lupita's hands

I always get a great massage from Jazmine. The rooms and waiting area are pleasant and calming. I can treat myself at nearby cafes after my massage. read more

My besties bought me a gift card here for my birthday so I visited for the first time this month. Booking was easy online! I found easy parking across the street. The spa is up a flight of stairs and has several treatment rooms. I chose a 90minute deep tissue massage with a hot stone add-on. While the therapist didn't go quite as deep as I prefer, the 90 minutes was an amazing relaxing experience. The value for the service was also really good. I would happily book her again. read more

The Spa itself is flexible and adapts wherever possible to meet the customer at their need points. Susan really looks closely at an individual's skin and tailors your treatment accordingly. Excellent location. Well kept business. Soothing vibe. A staycay vacay! read more

Relaxing atmosphere, my massage therapist, Cathy, was responsive to my needs (deep tissue). I have been healing from a knee injury and she was able to address the residual muscle tension from over compensating. read more

Jasmine was awesome! I went into the office to book just because it was so many massage options you can pick from. I spoke with the owner and was able to book right away. She was able to get me in with Jasmine for an hour. Jasmine was prompt and was all ready for me to. I will return, Im located in Richmond and can finally enjoy a good massage instead of traveling afterwards. read more

Love atmosphere, happy energy in a space... great understanding therapists- I was lucky to be treated at Ginger Springs Day Spa Thank you read more

I have been going to Ginger Springs Day Spa for years and I don't think I've ever thought to leave a review. I have been going recently for the hydra jett facial. It is pretty pricey but the results are amazing and there are many less expensive facials available. I went today because my thoughtful son bought me a gift certificate (quite a coincidence because he didn't know that I went here) for my birthday. I have been so stressed out because of what is going on in this country that my head is spinning. I had the 75 minute Himalayan Salt Stone massage with Jazmine. I don't know when I have been so relaxed. I was floating and all stress vanished. I followed it up with a botanical facial with Susan and was even more relaxed. I'm sure the ugly world/country situation will rear its ugly head but for now I'm good. I highly, highly recommend this day spa. read more

Sure... The full body massage was great but the facial was so-so. Some face creams smelled rancid and the steam wasn't evenly distributed on my face. The lady made a little too much noice fidgeting with drawers and looking for stuff or organizing things. I couldn't relax like I needed too. Also I would have liked to wear sandals to go to the bathroom after my body massage because the bottom of my feet wear creamy so I slipped twice in the bathroom and getting off of the facial massage bed. I had to clean my feet in the bathroom because the floors wear not clean, I cleaned off hair and other debris. Everything else was nice. read more

Good customer service, easy to book online, Jazmin made me feel comfortable before and during the appointment, and physically the massage was great! read more

See all

My friend had a gift certificate so we both went to the spa. She got a one hour massage and I got a one hour facial. The place is super nice and the people that work that are so friendly. My facial was great. Only reason they're not a five star is because they're a little pricey. 125 for a facial is a lot. I can usually get a massage for 65 bucks. Overall this was a great spot tho and I recommend you try them out read more

Exceptional client care, calm space, expert massage therapist. Pure bliss! Already booked our next massage session.

Excellent service. Such a welcoming and serene space. Babette expertly found all of my stress points and worked them with the perfect amount of pressure. She really listened to me. She has the strength and stamina to maintain the same deep quality throughout the entire time. I had the 90 minute deep tissue with hot rocks massage. It was 95* in the shade outside, but the room had been cooled to just the right temp for the hot towels and hot rocks to be soothing. read more

I came in for a full body massage and a facial. Both were absolutely fantastic and cannot wait to come in again.

What I enjoyed: Express facial, back facial Visit date: January 4, 2020 First time? Yes. What a wonderful experience! I gifted my husband a massage, but I had to treat myself, too. I booked a facial and a back facial (cause I had never heard of one and was curious!). My esthetician, Susan, was so great! I hadn't had a facial in years so she was able to asses my current skin situation and proceed with recommended treatments. I ended up having some microdermabrasion done and finished with a seaweed mask, plus a peel of sorts on my back. Susan answered all of my skin questions, too, and gave me some tips on how to keep my skin healthy. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I felt so refreshed! I shall return. The spa is located upstairs. Give yourself some time for finding parking and filling out spa paperwork, as well as enjoying the waiting area, ambience, and spa water. read more

Pssssst......Want to know what I just discovered? The best kept secret in the East Bay. Tucked away in historic Point Richmond is the incomparable Ginger Day Spa. An amazing getaway right off the 80 the that is Life Changing. Words usually used for big events like your best job ever, or meeting The One or having kids, right? I work hard, play hard & have never really had a spa day. It was Mother's day, my partner & college age sons said do it! I thought what the heck & made an appointment for a Swedish massage & a facial. These days, my expectations are kept in check as everybody is just trying to get by. The first thing I noticed? The rooms are clean & the front staff kind, knowledgeable & inviting. They listened to what I needed, and did not push services or product at me. Though they do have product they'll share @ a very nice price, thank you. After a couple of the most relaxing hours, I rolled on out of there, a mere puddle of my previous self. Ask for Jael, with the hands from God! I've never referenced God in any review, but when the almighty was giving out gifts, they pulled Jael aside & endowed her with the power of touch. Knots that have been in my neck, shoulders & under my scapulas for about 20 years , yes the ones from shlepping babies, toddlers, trash cans & hours on the keyboard? Gone. Completely gone. I am now free of knots that I just thought were earned w/aging. A beautiful, talented, woman. A quiet hour w/ wonderfully relaxing music, the scents of your choice, or not. You'll just want to lay there, then go somewhere quiet to continue this buzz. That's when Susan stepped in. Gentle & calming, the perfect pairing, post massage. Now, I'm not normally a "facial" kind of gal, but Susan massaged, purified and & used the nicest smelling products & poured myself not my car with my baby-butt smooth cheeks & a noticeably less puffy face & eye area. Like I'd had some work done, but not! Ginger Day Spa's services are at a great price point too! Snag an appointment alone or with friends. Guess where I'm going for my birthday? read more

Loved my 1 hour back massage. I got a classic massage to get those knots out. The environment was tranquil, quiet, and clean!

Everyone from the spa director, Susan, to the massage therapist, Jael, was kind and respectful. My partner thoroughly enjoyed their massage. We'll be returning. read more

First, I never knew your business was so close to where I live. The session I had with Kristina was so calming and felt like I was back at a luxury spa in Cabo. It was great. read more

I received a massage here as a gift from my girls. Arguably, best massage I've had ever. Highly recommend.

I was very excited about this massage. I had received a gift card from my in laws to Ginger Springs in celebration of Mother's Day and my birthday. My appointment was at 11:30AM, but I received a phone call at around 11:10AM asking if I was still coming, the masseuse claiming my appointment was at 11AM. Luckily I live close by so got there within a few minutes of the call. I showed her my confirmation email that stated my appointment was at 11:30, to which she replied "oh yes I totally believe you" and something about their booking system being terrible. So now we head into my massage and I'm definitely not feeling relaxed at all, and I ask her if I'm still getting my whole time and she said I could but that would make her late for her next client. She told me if I lessen my time it would give her time to get ready for her next client. Anyway the massage itself was good, so I'm not giving the spa a score of a 1, but honestly didn't feel like my time was respected or that the person cared about the inconvenience. I was also told I'd get an email with the remaining balance of my gift card and I never received that, and it's been over 2 weeks. I previously had a facial done there in April and it was good as well, but I was offered skincare products that were not breastfeeding friendly even though I had answered yes to that section on their intake card, so currently have products I can't use right now and they were not cheap. Overall giving a score of a 3 out of 5 because the massage and facial were good, but poor customer service and the booking system are also enough to make me not want to be a return customer. read more

The energy in Ginger Springs Day Spa is relaxing and soothing. The peaceful music, soft colors and gentle scents all add to the yummy experience of receiving a facial with Spa owner, Susan Kitsen. Her facials are amazing! Plus....my 65 year old face looks better than ever! Treat yourself and be pampered! read more

Very relaxing, clean and organized. Quiet, peaceful and informative amazing staff with no pressure to purchase skincare or rebook appointment. I got a Lactic Acid Peel facial, it was manageable but slightly tingly though it wasn't for too long. Day one post facial, my skin is baby smooth, pores appear very clean and I am brighter! Susan was gentle on the face and she takes her time through the facial. Will schedule for another appointment. Thank you! read more
