I understand nobody wants to work on a Sunday. Maybe we just got stuck with the B team. The food was pretty good I didn't love the Kingwood role left most of it on the table. My main concern was the service. I never got a water, had to ask for plates so we could eat our food. I have been trying to get the check but the waiter is clearly too busy. So I decided to go ahead and write this review. Maybe someone will read this post and find the waiter so we can leave.

Order pieces of sushi and it was delicious . Our waitress was very kind and new at the job. I had some confusion about a piece of sushi and the manger cleared up the misunderstanding for me. Over all I enjoyed my meal BUT I will say I was not a fan of the Wong Tong soup and Hot and Sour Soup. I do not recommend those, but the miso soup was a 10/10.

I like this place, I've always ordered to go but the restaurant is always clean. The staff is nice as well and the food is always good I've never had anything that tasted bad from here. I will say the sushi rolls are really small so you have to get 3 to even have a "meal". I got 2 rolls (and they are small) with carb puffs (only 4) and it's was almost $45. I think for the amount of food you get the price is high.

So/so Server , who i think is the owner since she jumped in to help with making sushi didn't remember my order which is fine but she got frustrated at me for correcting her. Ordered a crazy roll & salmon roll with wonton soup, received tuna roll & miso soup instead. I'd recommend her writing it down if she is busy , less room for forgetting if she needs to jump around. Also asked for extra ginger twice for it to be brought , then at that it was the smallest amount possible Lady next to me sent back egg rolls for tasting off, but i personally didn't try them Lunch sushi special doesn't have good options , wouldn't recommend to come for it like I did, maybe dinner / individual rolls will perform better Wasn't the most organized either , stuff on counters , one of the large tables & stacks of dishes behind the sushi bar I see lots of good reviews so maybe it wasn't their day ?

Beautiful, delicious cuts of fish, friendly and attentive staff, and a nice little calm moment in their clean and well lit space that still felt small and intimate. $15 sashimi lunch is rare these days. All this right before they closed their lunch service at 3pm. Great folks serving great sushi at reasonable prices. Thanks for lunch!

Tuna and Scallop (I had asked for salmon)

The food was good and the staff were polite. The prices were reasonable. My only complaints are 1) the water is tap and tastes gross. 2) our order was taken without writing it down, and they got something wrong as a result. It wasn't the end of the world and I ate it anyway without saying anything, but it was annoying.

Loved this sushi place! Great portions with larger sushi cuts. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: - Fried calamari: crispy, great sauce, not greasy but probably would've enjoyed another appetizer - Miso soup: standard miso - Wonton soup: very good, the broth is great and definitely a better option than the miso soup - Lion roll: DELICIOUS. Must try! not much is said about this roll but it's perfectly balanced with a nice kick of spice -Unagi (eel): especially good, most restaurants slather their eel in sauce but you're able to appreciate the freshness of the fish at this place -Blue Fin tuna: delicious, safe option for those wanting to try nigiri - shrimp tempura udon: the tempura was perfectly crunchy and the broth was yummy! -seafood udon: the only downside of our meal. We expected a little more than steamed/imitation meats to be thrown in the soup. The broth did not have a seafood taste incorporated at all. Quite underwhelming and would not recommend. - both the unsweet tea and hot green tea were especially good as well -customer service was fantastic, we were served by attentive and caring waiters. The fair price enhanced the great experience !

First time trying Ginger, and I'll definitely go again (next time I'll dine in.) The Tiger Eye role was great, and the egg rolls exceeded expectations. Very friendly staff, even though my only interaction was to pick up my order they seemed to have an interest in making sure I was a happy customer. read more

It has come to my attention through the Nextdoor app that the waitress was "heartbroken" over my review. In no way did I blame the waitress in my comments, as I know that they are just the messengers. However, SOMEONE in the kitchen staff should have done a quality control check before sending out the second plate, especially since they didn't do it right the first time around. Also, I didn't think the sushi was horrible, hence the three star rating and not a one star review, like the one down below. It was just average. Not inedible but not something to rave about. Instead of publicly shaming a person for a negative review on another social media platform, perhaps people should write their positive reviews here, where it counts. read more

Picked up food from here about a week ago, and I must say it was delicious! Can't believe I had waited so long to try their food. Delicious and fresh! The scallop sashimi was a beautiful display and fresh. Scallops are served with thin lemon slices to make the dish extremely refreshing. The staff is very friendly and clean atmosphere. read more

I love this place. My two favorite appetizers are the spicy tuna tacos and crab puffs. Servers are attentive and happy to explain the menu. My teenager loves that they have marble soda. The rolls and poke are delicious. We're fans of the King Poke. Restaurant has booths and tables with a small bar area. Give it a try! read more

Just moved here from Utah. This is the 3rd place we've had and by far the best. The other two had the same rating as here, but not as good. Inside is nice. Variety of rolls. Tasted more fresh than others. read more

Great atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and fresh food. I ordered a take away order of the combination fried rice (without shrimp), the pan fried goyza, the avocado salad and an order of egg rolls. We went to this place because a friend said their fried rice was amazing...and though it was good, it wasn't the best we've ever had. It basically tasted like meat and rice. But we'll try it again...maybe it was just an off night. The egg rolls were DELICIOUS but they're tiny! Definitely get an order per person...it's worth it! The avocado salad was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. The goyza was very yummy and was paired with a very tasty sauce. Overall, great experience. Can't beat the location and the friendly staff, who even offered me a beverage while I waited on my food! We'll be back. read more

I had dinner here Tuesday with the husband. We ordered the Curry Katsu don and their Teriyaki Chicken it was delicious. I've never had Japanese Curry before and it was amazing. The dish tasted both like homemade Pot roast & Curry without the spiciness. It was a very savory/filling meal, that I will definitely order again. The staff was very attentive/customer service friendly. Just wish they had a Happy Hour; not just a Lunch special for the people who work late. I highly recommend this place. read more

It was the best decision my fiancé and I made after a long day of shopping and not so good service from Cracker Barrel. Here's the highlights: Strolled over to this restaurant after being neglected at Cracker Barrel! To our satisfaction, Ginger provided good service and was proactive throughout our entire meal! We had refilled drinks, was greeted immediately from our server, and left with our bellies full of fresh food! We are so thankful for this restaurant and cannot wait to come back again for some poke bowls and sky divers! My deepest congrats to the server and hostess, as well as, everyone else in the making of the best restaurant experience we have had in a long time! read more

I can't even describe how bad this experience was for me and my family! Today March 27th at 6pm we decided to try something different. We wanted to try out a new sushi place I saw here on Yelp! If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. As soon as we walked in the host seated us and he was so friendly and welcoming. He took our drink order and gave us our drinks and said the server would be right with us. He was the only good thing that came out of this experience. It took the waitress 30 minutes to even visit our table to take our order. we kept watching and noticed she kept visiting other same tables over and over again instead of ours. We started to get impatient but we just waited patiently. When she finally gets to our table she was very rude didn't even greet us just asked for our order. And as we were ordering my husband asked me whether or not we should get a certain appetizer and she just walks away and didn't even let us finish ordering, I guess she just assumed we were done. And she walked to the next table to take their order. So as we waited for our appetizer it took about 20 minutes or so she comes out and brings the appetizer to the people that got there after us and ordered after we did. At this point I thought this was just ridiculous already. We continued to wait and almost 10 minutes go by and still no appetizer nor did she come check on us this whole time. We decided to just walk out and leave. I haven't walked out and had this bad of service in along time. It's unfortunate, we really wanted to like this place since it's so close to home. we decided to go across the highway to Nukumi Sushi. Now that place has some great service our waiter was phenomenal and the sushi is amazing! They even made a balloon animal for my daughter so that made her night. I highly recommend Nukumi Sushi if you're looking for a quality Sushi place in the Kingwood area. read more

We've been to this Ginger location twice. During both visits, we had the good fortune to have Spencer as our waiter. He is terrific... so attentive and seemingly excited to serve! We didn't think to ask for his recommendations on food selections until the second visit, which made the experience all the more enjoyable, as he enthusiastically shared on- and off- menu items, and his suggestions (based on dialogue re: our likes/dislikes) were spot on. This will be one of our new go-to restaurants! read more

My husband and I ate here last night. And everything that touched my lip was amazing. We both ordered Sapporo's. We got apps. The crab puffs and tuna tartar. The crab puffs were savory yet sweet and the tartar fresh. Felt like the tuna was just caught. The best part of the experience is the help we got from a server. He may have been the owner. But he was super helpful, and recommended items based on what we like. I love black pepper tuna. Next we ordered the Pokémon roll(the Escobar and Pepper Tuna on top was everything), Miami roll, and the hot mama roll. OMG they were all delicious in their own special ways. After those my husband and I still had more room to eat. So our server/owner recommended a few more things. We quickly ordered them. The scallop appetizer. Which had a smoked aspect, it was to die for. Served on individual spoons. Like an amuse-bouche. I'm drooling thinking about it right now. And lastly we ate the Firework Roll. The overall experience was one to write about. 3 apps, 4 rolls, 4 beers. All for under $100. The service, food, and ambiance was pretty awesome. Can't wait to do it again! read more

Me and my girlfriends have been here twice for girls sushi night. Both time we had a great experience. The servers were friendly and our sushi rolls where always brought to us promptly. They still had not got their liquor license, so we brought our own saki and they warmed it for us. Great place! We will continue to have girls sushi night here in the future. read more

My husband and I went for a date night and we were both impressed. We had a couple questions about their sake menu and their staff was extremely knowledgeable. I honestly have no clue how this place has 4.5 stars. Absolute worst sushi. The place is fancy and nice. Staff is great. Food is awful we had three different rolls, rice, edamame. All completely made in vinegar. I'm sorry, but 4.5 is the vibe not the food. read more

I came with some friends for dinner on a Saturday and this place was packed. It's tucked away in the middle of a shopping strip and the parking lot isn't that big. That being said, parking sucks. What they do offer that I haven't ever seen at a Chinese buffet is valet parking. I made a quick drive around the parking lot and decided to valet to save time. The young gentleman parking cars solo did a great job and works on tips. You pay what you want. They have a pretty large waiting area which we luckily didn't have to utilize. We got seated right away, but soon after, the waiting area filled up. The space inside is huge with lots of seating. They have neon lights and TVs everywhere which is a step up from your regular buffets. In the center is the buffet area with different stations and is very organized and clean. Customer service was good. Our plates never stacked up at the table and our drinks never went empty. The big draw here is the seafood portion of the buffet. I love crab legs but I don't like the work involved to eat it. Unlike other buffets where people pounce the minute the staff put it out, here they keep it well stocked and no ones fighting to get their share. I prefer my crab legs steamed and warm, but here they are served cold. I turned my focus to the huge seafood selection and sushi. They have shrimp and fish in all kinds of different preparations and I gotta say, everything tasted great. They also have a hot pot and hibachi section along with your regular Chinese food buffet offerings. I don't know if it's because I don't frequent Chinese buffets often, but here, I liked everything I tried and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They also have a nice dessert station and even have slushie station for the kiddos. The best part of it all is the price tag is just a little over 20 bucks. We all were very confused at the attitude bc what is wrong with asking to sit at a diff table bc the other one is dirty?? If I was by myself, I honestly would've just left and went somewhere else to eat, but bc I was with family, I didn't want to make it a big deal. As for the food, they did have a lot of options. Everything was flavored nicely, but not everything was hot. I also wasn't a fan of the prepackaged ice cream cups so we went elsewhere for dessert. Some of the bathroom stalls were dirty too. Overall our experience here just okay. The poor customer service alone was enough to make me not want to come back.

My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.

Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.
