It has come to my attention through the Nextdoor app that the waitress was "heartbroken" over my review. In no way did I blame the waitress in my comments, as I know that they are just the messengers. However, SOMEONE in the kitchen staff should have done a quality control check before sending out the second plate, especially since they didn't do it right the first time around. Also, I didn't think the sushi was horrible, hence the three star rating and not a one star review, like the one down below. It was just average. Not inedible but not something to rave about. Instead of publicly shaming a person for a negative review on another social media platform, perhaps people should write their positive reviews here, where it counts. read more

I ordered a take away order of the combination fried rice (without shrimp), the pan fried goyza, the avocado salad and an order of egg rolls. We went to this place because a friend said their fried rice was amazing...and though it was good, it wasn't the best we've ever had. It basically tasted like meat and rice. But we'll try it again...maybe it was just an off night. The egg rolls were DELICIOUS but they're tiny! Definitely get an order per person...it's worth it! The avocado salad was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. The goyza was very yummy and was paired with a very tasty sauce. Overall, great experience. I had dinner here Tuesday with the husband. We ordered the Curry Katsu don and their Teriyaki Chicken it was delicious. I've never had Japanese Curry before and it was amazing. The dish tasted both like homemade Pot roast & Curry without the spiciness. It was a very savory/filling meal, that I will definitely order again. Here's the highlights: Strolled over to this restaurant after being neglected at Cracker Barrel! To our satisfaction, Ginger provided good service and was proactive throughout our entire meal! I can't even describe how bad this experience was for me and my family! Today March 27th at 6pm we decided to try something different. We wanted to try out a new sushi place I saw here on Yelp! If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. As soon as we walked in the host seated us and he was so friendly and welcoming. He took our drink order and gave us our drinks and said the server would be right with us. He was the only good thing that came out of this experience. It took the waitress 30 minutes to even visit our table to take our order. we kept watching and noticed she kept visiting other same tables over and over again instead of ours. We started to get impatient but we just waited patiently. When she finally gets to our table she was very rude didn't even greet us just asked for our order. And as we were ordering my husband asked me whether or not we should get a certain appetizer and she just walks away and didn't even let us finish ordering, I guess she just assumed we were done. And she walked to the next table to take their order. So as we waited for our appetizer it took about 20 minutes or so she comes out and brings the appetizer to the people that got there after us and ordered after we did. At this point I thought this was just ridiculous already. We continued to wait and almost 10 minutes go by and still no appetizer nor did she come check on us this whole time. We decided to just walk out and leave. I haven't walked out and had this bad of service in along time. It's unfortunate, we really wanted to like this place since it's so close to home. we decided to go across the highway to Nukumi Sushi. Now that place has some great service our waiter was phenomenal and the sushi is amazing! They even made a balloon animal for my daughter so that made her night. We've been to this Ginger location twice. During both visits, we had the good fortune to have Spencer as our waiter. He is terrific... so attentive and seemingly excited to serve! We didn't think to ask for his recommendations on food selections until the second visit, which made the experience all the more enjoyable, as he enthusiastically shared on- and off- menu items, and his suggestions (based on dialogue re: our likes/dislikes) were spot on. My husband and I ate here last night. And everything that touched my lip was amazing. We both ordered Sapporo's. We got apps. The crab puffs and tuna tartar. The crab puffs were savory yet sweet and the tartar fresh. Felt like the tuna was just caught. The best part of the experience is the help we got from a server. He may have been the owner. But he was super helpful, and recommended items based on what we like. I love black pepper tuna. Next we ordered the Pokémon roll(the Escobar and Pepper Tuna on top was everything), Miami roll, and the hot mama roll. OMG they were all delicious in their own special ways. After those my husband and I still had more room to eat. So our server/owner recommended a few more things. We quickly ordered them. The scallop appetizer. Which had a smoked aspect, it was to die for. Served on individual spoons. Like an amuse-bouche. I'm drooling thinking about it right now. And lastly we ate the Firework Roll. Me and my girlfriends have been here twice for girls sushi night. Both time we had a great experience. The servers were friendly and our sushi rolls where always brought to us promptly.
