This is the third location for Ginger restaurants in the Kingwood/Atascocita area, and they just keep getting better and better. At this location, the decor is amazing - I love the booths and the wooden pillars. There's a television mounted on the wall, but it isn't distracting or playing too loud. This location has a slightly higher end feel to it. I ordered the crawfish tempura, a piece of crab stick nigiri, the Pokemon roll, and the Super Crunchy Roll. Absolutely everything was delicious! The Pokémon roll is so cute - the different fish used actually give the appearance of a Poke ball, so it's a nice touch for the game. The Super Crunchy Roll is amazing - it's made with pink soy paper so if you aren't a fan of seaweed that's a good pick. The crawfish tempura was fantastic, too - there's a great sauce for dipping, too! Our server was very attentive and friendly, too. The food so far has been very good. However we have been waiting for an hour for our food. The service was very attentive when we arrived but slacked off extra fast to where my son is the only one who got his food. Everything else is still being waiting on. For a sushi place we have no sushi. It should come out fast being that it doesn't need to be cooked.?.?.? Anyway, they need some help over here to get things going a little faster. This place is a joke!!! The food is bland, the Miso soup is horrible and it looks like they went to Kroger and repackaged for sale. Im so sad this place is soooo far from me. I work at the airport and came across Ginger on my way to pick up some items. I went in an loved the cute decor and the seating. All though it's not a fancy restaurant it's definitely date night worthy. My favorite item on the menu is the fried shrimp poke bowl buttttt add a seaweed salad and crab stick. Extremely disappointed in what I received. Ordered the Skinny Girl poke bowl, added shrimp and seaweed salad. This brought the total of the bowl to $15. Very disappointed with my take out order. I asked for two modifications to existing rolls. They do not offer just an asparagus roll, but I was told they would make it by ringing up the Shrimp Asparagus roll, and deducting $4. I also asked to have a small amount of crunch added to the Rock n Roll, a shrimp tempura roll. They failed to mention that they would charge $2 per roll for the additional crunch. When I picked up my order, there was no deduction for my shrimp-free Shrimp Tempura roll and an additional $4 added for a tiny amount of crunch added to 2 Rock n Rolls. When I tried to her it corrected, the women I spoke with were pretty rude and denied that anyone would have offered a price adjustment for a roll without Shrimp. I wanted to give this place a try, but I will keep going to Nukumi on the other side of 59 - their prices and service are much better. The 10 pieces of Rock n Roll at Ginger cost a whopping $18, and Nukumi would have charged only $10 for 12 much larger pieces with 2x the shrimp tempura. Never again, Ginger. read more

I went here for a late lunch, the dining area is very comfortable and inviting. I was greeted by the sushi chef behind the counter and he was very friendly. I asked him for his recommendations and let him make me his favorite roll. It was a crunchy, fried roll that was absolutely AMAZING! I could eat here for lunch every day! I cant remember the name of the recommended roll (language barrier) but I also had the Crunchy Monkey and it was good as well! The wait staff was super responsive, helpful and anxious to please. I've been frequenting the other 2 Ginger locations and both are fantastic. So I thought why not support their 3rd one? The menu is far different from the other 2 locations, and did not have any of my favorites as the other ones have. I didn't let that deter me and tried something new. Presentation was great, food was okay, but service lacked here. Once seated, we looked over the menu and it didn't take us long to decide. We sat around waiting for 10 minutes or so while the waitress shuffled by us a few times before acknowledging us. All in all, this location is great if you're coming strictly for sushi. Really like this place. The simple maki sushi is not all that great. No better than the grocery store. However, the more advanced rolls are amazing! I love all of their hand rolls! Their Phoenix roll is amazing! It's got tempura coating is awesome With eel sauce. I'm not too much of a fan of their fried rice though. We love Ginger Cafe and Little Ginger and are so glad we have a version near us. We have gone for lunch and dinner many times. This year with Covid we have had meals delivered through DoorDash. The place is always clean and peaceful and the food is always well prepared. I usually order a different sushi roll each time with green salad and hot and sour soup. Absolute best sushi around. We go at least once a week for our favorites and the staff is great (shoutout to Spencer!) and really attentive. Always delicious and fresh, beautiful presentation and just all around awesome. Haven't found a dish we don't like. Love the yakitori (esp. bacon and jalapeño) and great fast service. I called and made an order to go. The order was 69.00. I ordered an order of crawfish fried rice which did not make it into my order. I called and told the girl that answered the phone that the fried rice has not made if into my order. She said that the girl that took my order had repeated the order back to me and fried rice was not part of the order. Which was not true. It has come to my attention through the Nextdoor app that the waitress was "heartbroken" over my review. In no way did I blame the waitress in my comments, as I know that they are just the messengers. However, SOMEONE in the kitchen staff should have done a quality control check before sending out the second plate, especially since they didn't do it right the first time around. Also, I didn't think the sushi was horrible, hence the three star rating and not a one star review, like the one down below. It was just average. Not inedible but not something to rave about. The food was delicious, I loved my baked curry beef don. The beef was soft, savory and flavorful. The best curry I've had in a while, but I was quite confuse when I saw it came out with no rice just a small sizzling griddle with the curry. I will include the picture of it. I asked the waitress if it comes with rice because the name of the dish is "Don" which is basically "rice bowl dish" in Japanese and on the menu it also listed under the translation (Rice & Japanese Noodles). She said no and I need to pay $2 dollars for a small bowl of rice which wasn't even filled up completely. I asked if it was refillable, she seemed to hesitated, but was kind enough to refill it again for me anyway. By her reaction I don't think it was supposed be refillable, I appreciate her effort nonetheless. I think they should add rice to baked curry beef because there's no way we're just eating a plate of curry with no breads or rice. read more
