​Well, we have been doing business with Gina for about 20 years but the love affair ends here! Although I'm not a complainer and have NEVER complained to them about an order, this CANNOT be let go! Upon ordering, I was given a time of 35 minutes and a total of $35.00. About 7 minutes later I get call saying that it's going to be 50 minutes and "BTW, the cost is $45"! Hmmmm so I paid $45 for what was supposed to be a deep dish pizza but what arrived as flat as a thin crust one topping pizza . The extra money was supposedly to cover the Italian beef meat that I requested on my pizza but you would have literally had to go swimming through the pizza to find a scant piece of Italian beef . What did I find? Let me tell you , a big huge chunk of brown paper bag flopped in the sauce under the cheese layer . I basically received a hard, burned to a crisp crust with a bunch of sauce flopped on the top , a bite or two of ham , a few crumbles of cheese and specks of Italian beef . I will never ever again darken their doorstep with my money . Trust me, they know that we were good for at least $100 a month in orders if not more. I would say that probably over the last year , the food and service has just gotten progressively worse to the point that now they are serving brown paper bag and charging $45 for it ! I would sooner buy frozen pizza then ever return to Gina's. read more

Well, we finally got around to tasting their dishes. It's hard due to the limited hours of the establishment. We ordered at a little after they opened at 4PM and finally got our pizza at 5:15 PM. Needless to say they were a bit busy. The sausage and mushroom pizza was awesomely delicious. Great sauce, plenty of fresh toppings, and perfectly cooked. read more

This place used to be an eat-in restaurant but due to the pandemic, it is an order, pick-up, and go establishment. But the quality of everything they put out has stayed the same. It is made with love and you can taste it in every bite. As an over-the-road driver, I have eaten pizza all across this country and I can tell you Gina Marie's is better than most and equal to any other I have tried. Some people might say they are a little pricey but I notice it has yet to stop them from coming back. read more

Now anybody who has read my reviews knows if I give four stars there's an explanation to follow. Being from Chicago (and yes that does make us all pizza experts:) this is by far the best real Chicago style thin crust pizza (haven't tried the deep dish yet) in the area. Now would I give this pizza 4 stars if I was in Chicago? Definitely not it would be maybe a wavy to possibly a steady 3 stars. Well, we're not in Chicago we're in Knox, Indiana! Hands down the best pizza in the area unless you want to except the opinion of the guy who wants to know why the pizza is cut in squares:) Answer: because it's not deep dish all thin crust in Chicago is cut in squares except maybe Pizza Hut and because you live much much closer to Chicago than New York. I'm from Philadelphia, where we have excellent pizza. I've also sampled great pizza in Jersey, New York, and Chicago. We're here at Bass Lake to visit family and we needed to feed family coming in from all over Indiana on July 4. Based on Yelp reviewers' descriptions, we went with Gina Marie's (bonus: they deliver). We tried thin crust plain and one loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and peppers. Big hit with everyone, including me. Looking forward to trying the deep dish one day. read more

If your at the lake and your from Chicago don't bother with pizza anywhere else. Yes, yes all your friends that live here are going to tell you try this place or this place has great pizza. Like Tom L. I was born and raised on the South Side and this is the only real pizza in Starke county....PERIOD. Now back to those friends we were just talking about, there from Indiana! They don't even know what real Italian beef is let alone pizza. They get their pizza from dive bars around the lake and call it good. Those bars all start out with frozen crust...disgusting. Gina Marie's is spectacular and they too are from the South Side so you know it's real pizza not this pretzel bread with tomatoe sauce and cheese these people call pizza. Now I only gave it four stars because one, it's the best Chicago style in Knox, Indiana not Chicago and two, sometimes when they get really buisy the quality will drop a tad I'm not going to lie. That being said Gina Marie's on their worst possible day is a million times better than any of these other clowns that claim whatever it is they're selling is pizza. That's a promise, give it a try and let me know. I still haven't tryied their stuffed pizza so I can't comment. Their conolis are unbelievable though you have to get at least one of those bad boys. i am a chicago native now living in knox , indiana . of course all chicago natives claim to be experts on great pizza . i guess that makes me a pizza expert , now i dont know about all that , but i do know i dont even consider any place other than gina maries when feeding company from chicago . gina marie has a large fan club in northern illinois , i know this to be true . the food that comes out of that little shack is always hot and excellent. it doesnt hurt that she also has those same qualities . i hope she never gives up making great pizza . a devoted customer, dave stripling read more
