Once it was our turn, what started as a coffee run turned into an afternoon snack for my wife and I. The display case was full of cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls and whoopie pies (cookies with icing). We opted for a chocolate chip cookie whoopie pie, a small coffee (I ordered drip but the owner made me an Americano), and a water. The whoopie pie was large and amazing tasting. It is a simple looking but decadent dessert. We had to use a knife and fork to eat it. The coffee was rich and had notes of chocolate. Back story- my four year old son is staying/vacationing with my parents, his grandparents, for a few weeks this summer and when their journey took them to a friends house in East Moriches this week I really wanted to send him a special treat to remind him how much me and his father love him! Google searching lead me to Cynthia and I sent a message to her through her website. She answered almost immediately and made my wish to send my son cupcakes a reality.
