One recommendation: please consider adding coffee to the menu. I was a little disappointed because I love having my cake with a good cup of coffee/expresso. I was told 9pm at the earliest on the phone, the website said 7:30 at the earliest and when I showed up in person to ask they had immediate seating. In fact, not one other table was taken indoors. We had our entire meal alone, inside this restaurant which is a converted home. Many of the homes in St Augustine are like this, so a home converted business isn't weird. But it is when 10+ employees constantly walk by and you are eating at a somewhat private table. I have no idea what all those employees were doing. We joked that the cheesecake restaurant was a front for another business because the employees seemed so busy, yet no one was there. We also had to laugh, almost the entire menu was sold out. Every person at our table had to order their 2nd or 3rd backup item, most of us completely changing our order. One in our group had the waiter come back twice to tell us they sold out of his item AS his meal was being made. While the cheesecakes were very good and there was potentially a nice selection, I think this location was a bit too odd to recommend to other diners unless you specifically just want cheesecake. If you do, just get it to go.

Five stars doesn't even come close to describing this wonderful bakery experience…read more I am from a large family who love to gather over food and fun. The first time we had a cake from Creme de la Cocoa, it was lemon blueberry for my Mom's birthday. From then on, "good enough" wouldn't do. The cakes from this boutique bakery are exquisite works of art that taste absolutely divine. We've had vanilla cake with white chocolate between the layers and fresh strawberries for Easter, exquisitely decorated with whipped cream frosting and fresh spring flowers, a birthday cake for my mother that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY HURRICANE PEGGY with a hurricane and warning markers bc her birthday is the first day of hurricane season that was Florida Native, featuring summer fruits and orange zest in the frosting, and the latest for Labor Day that will be a classic carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and Fall decor that will say HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL! We've had their French macarons in every color and flavor, their charcuterie box for my husband's birthday which featured sweets of every kind in white and dark chocolate, and their homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. All were exceptional tasting and beautiful in their artistry. Creme de la Cocoa is where perfection in design and flavor are an every day adventure. And the customer comes second only to the quality of their decadent delights.

We each ordered a Chocolate Chip cookie sandwiched with chocolate buttercream, along with a chocolate and praline cake that we split. Everything was delicious! I loved both desserts! The chocolate and praline cake was definitely the winner. The place itself is lovely and has a beautiful atmosphere, making it a nice spot to stop in for something sweet. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the service. It was average, and for me, personality and a warm greeting really make a difference in the overall experience. The desserts were wonderful, but I would have loved a little more warmth and friendliness from the staff!

My boyfriend took a bite and said "this is vegan??" Unreal. Cake was moist and flavorful, the frosting was sweet and thick, sooo good! I ordered two glasses of Prosecco and she informs me that they are out of Prosecco. What!? I then order a can of IPA and a glass of white wine for my gf, which took way too long to get. Plus my beer wasn't even that cold and her wine wasn't good either. I asked about the cheese tray + wine and she looked confused. I asked her what cheeses came on it and she said she didn't know, but she'd find out, but never did. lol. I came here prepared to buy a bottle of Prosecco and a cheese tray to sit outside and enjoy with my gf but that didn't happen. If you are working at a place you should know the couple things that you do serve and know them very well. There also wasn't any clean glasses for the spa water. The deserts did look good but god forbid I asked either of them a question about them because they would have looked at me befuddled. I highly doubt I'll ever come back here again. Good luck with your questions and selections.

We walked in around 12 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon and was able to sit at the bar with no challenges. Bar area is open seeing if you want a table you do have to check in. I started with a handmade Italian soda the ginger one and I love this because the ginger is very pronounced. It's very crisp and light. I also got an order of their soup of the season, which was a red curry. It was absolutely delicious. Had great flavor little spice at the end of it as well. For lunch, we split the fried chicken that comes with collard greens and whole cakes. The collard greens are by far one of the best that we have ever had. They use slab bacon and they're absolutely delicious. We've literally talked about them for years and they were just as good as we remembered. Fried chicken was nice and moist and the hocakes cakes were very sweet. For drinks, I tried one of the seasonal ones which was the witches of Eastwick. The gin based drink definitely was sweet, but exactly what I was looking for. My husband got an old-fashioned because they had black walnut bitters when he was really excited about.

Long waits are common for this spot. The interior is the old Ice Plant so it has great character. Not super large so limited dining spots within. Very high ceilings and though there were plenty of diners, it was overly loud. Great spot to enjoy the company you are with! Our server was top notch, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly but not trying to monopolize our table talk. We started with Cocktails which were all great. I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. We had the Caesar Salad (which is like calling the Queen Mary2 a "boat"!). It is next level, 7 minute eggs, homemade croutons, Anchovie forward, all good! We also split an order of Shrimp Cake Sliders. These were huge, and the slaw that accompanied was the perfect match to the shrimp without overwhelming them. For dessert we settled on the Pineapple cake which also had coconut and all kinds of wonderful flavors going on! A really outstanding meal from beginning to end!

My husband was a little disappointed in the lack of the flavors of ice cream, but decided to go with a cone, vanilla ice cream, and biscoff cookies. Honestly, I don't think he was that disappointed in the end as he finished his ice cream faster than Joey Chesnut on 4th of July. I ordered a sugar cone, chocolate ice cream, and rainbow sprinkles. I'm a sucker for rainbow sprinkles so this did not disappoint. The dogs also enjoyed their pup cups. Thanks for a good experience and a nice sweet dessert post dinner!
