Knew what I wanted and drove off with my new trailer in about 45 minutes…read more Needed a bigger ball from my last trailer Great service!

This was hands down the WORST experience my husband and I have ever had making any kind of…read morepurchase. We drove 2 hours to this dealership after finding this dealership online. Before arriving, we were explicitly told that appointments were required, that each appointment would take 30 minutes to over an hour, and that a team member would walk us through the process, show us the trailers we were interested in, and go over details and features. We were specifically told NOT to do a walk in, on our own and to schedule an appointment instead. We initially wanted to arrive at 11:30 AM, but based on the information provided by April, we waited and scheduled the next available appointment at 1:30 PM with Jeremy. When we arrived on time for our appointment, Jeremy immediately told us to go FOUR blocks away by ourselves to "look around," find VIN numbers, and pick what we liked. No assistance. No guidance. No explanation. This completely defeated the purpose of requiring an appointment and contradicted the entire pre-arrival information packet explaining how this experience was supposed to go. When we got to the lot, it was a disaster. There was no staff present, no labels, no signage, and no paperwork on the trailers. Nothing matched what was listed online. The QR codes that were supposed to help redirected to something completely unrelated. After driving hours and waiting for an appointment, we were left wandering around confused, frustrated, and angry, doing our own search with zero support. At that point, I was extremely upset. The wasted time, misinformation, and lack of basic professionalism were unacceptable. My husband reminded me that this was our only option that day since we urgently needed a trailer, and he hoped that at the very least the quality would be okay. When we returned to the front, I explained how lost and frustrated we were and told Jeremy which trailer we thought we wanted based on our solo search. Jeremy was ready to start the purchase process, but I insisted on seeing the exact trailer we would be buying. As I suspected, the trailer they brought out was NOT the one we had looked at. In fact, we never even saw that trailer on the lot during our own search. The entire experience was disorganized, careless, and honestly upsetting. My husband tried to stay optimistic, but I was beyond unhappy. If you do not care what you are buying and are okay being handed something random with little to no information, then this might be the place for you. Otherwise, avoid it. What makes this even more frustrating is that we were promised guidance and support before arriving. For a purchase over $4,000, the bare minimum would be providing basic information like the year, size, or features. None of that happened. At the end of the experience, we were given $50 off because a license plate holder was not installed and then latter comped/ added (thank you...) Jeremy did apologize to my husband once he understood how bad the experience was. The team did clean the trailer and help hook it up, but that is basic customer service and does not make up for how horrible the experience was overall. My husband now just hopes the trailer lasts and is made with good quality. I have my doubts. This place does not value your time, your money, or your experience. I would never come back and would never recommend this location to anyone unless you truly do not care what you are buying. Go the extra distance and find a local/ reputable dealership that actually cares.

I bought a 1987 vintage luxury RV to live in and brought it to Bay Area RV to do a bumper to bumper…read morethorough inspection. The RV had to be ready to take me to San Diego where I will start my new job. As the inspection continued the number of mandatory safety and repair issues increased exponentially. I can honestly say they saved my life and probably the lives of everyone else on the road with me. This is no exaggeration. I am driving a 33000 pound vehicle. When you step on the brakes you need the vehicle to come to a complete stop safely. You want the lights to work, the electrical to work, the plumbing to work and the propane not to leak. Bay Area RV found and fixed so many crucial items that I would never have known about if it wasn't for them. Even though my total repair bill was significantly higher than I could ever have anticipated, I now have a safe , fully operational and beautiful RV that will last me for many years to come. I can't list all the details because they would be too numerous, but the number of times they have cut cost, discounted labor, and went above and beyond to work with their vendors and mine to get me the best possible price for the mandatory parts I needed is more than I think anyone else would have ever done for me. Even after I am down in San Diego I am going to drive that RV right back up here for any major work that needs to be done because I know it will be done right and with honor and with integrity. I can honestly say that they put me ahead of their own profits. My final bill was high but that is not their fault and it could have been much much worse if I had taken it to someone else. I don't want to exclude anyone on their amazing team but I do want to give a shout out to Alison and Alberto. You have made a friend and customer for life.

This review replaces a review that I had written years ago. Now, in August of 2017, I've had long…read moreterm experience with this shop and their work. This is a difficult review to write because there are people at this shop who I find to be very personable and friendly. I've never written a review, or allowed a review to stand, that does not reflect an honest assessment of a business (good, bad or in-between). I write reviews that I wish someone had written for me before patronizing a business. Fleet Bodyworx is an average to mediocre body shop. I believe that they are capable of doing good work, but their business model appears to be to do high volumes of government and industrial trucks and other vehicles. I had work done on personally owned vehicles. Some specifics: LONG WAIT TIMES In each case, it took Fleet Bodyworx months to complete work on my vehicles. LACK OF CRAFT AND WORKMANSHIP In the most recent example, my truck was painted and after 6 months the paint began lifting off the roof. Other examples include poor color matching, lack of sanding and body preparation, painting over an easily correctable dent, failure to polish a rough painted finish resulting in finish mismatch, sloppy reassembly of a door panel and that's just what I could determine on two vehicles. CUSTOMER SERVICE In the above recent example of a paint literally peeling off, Fleet Bodyworx did not warranty the work. When a body shop is shown that their paint work won't stick to the surface for more than a football season -- and warrantying the work is a problem, that crosses the line for me. Where Fleet Bodyworx has strength is in that they can work on large vehicles, and they have ability to perform mechanical work. It is very difficult to find shops with paint booths that handle tall vehicles. If you're a United Van Lines or have a school bus and don't sweat the details you'd have difficulty finding a local alternative to Fleet Bodyworx. And I do reiterate, some of the guys there are exceptionally nice people. Read: I'm about to pay $1100 to another body shop to correct their work (that they won't warranty) and I still acknowledge that they are good people. They just can't paint well.

ONE STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. We came here during a literal roadside crisis -- a tire blowout on our trailer, leaving us stranded, stressed, and vulnerable. This wasn't a casual "shopping around" visit. This was an emergency situation where basic human decency and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, that is exactly what this place lacks. From the moment we arrived, the attitude was dismissive, cold, and openly rude. No greeting. No concern. No sense of urgency. Just irritation that we were even there. We explained the situation clearly: trailer disabled, equipment loaded, unsafe to continue driving. The response? Shrugs, short answers, and an unmistakable "not our problem" vibe. Instead of offering solutions, alternatives, or even a basic explanation, we were treated like an inconvenience. Questions were met with annoyance. Requests for help were brushed off. At no point did anyone in the office demonstrate the slightest bit of customer service or empathy -- something you'd expect especially from a tire shop that surely deals with breakdowns and blowouts every day. There was once gentleman, Benjamin, who did offer assistance and provided solutions to our situation but his supervisors discouraged his behaviors. Miguel especially was rude to my wife and my sister in law. What made this experience worse was the tone -- condescending, impatient, and borderline hostile. When people are already dealing with stress, danger, and unexpected costs, the last thing they need is to be spoken down to or treated like they're wasting your time. There was no effort to help us problem-solve. No "let's see what we can do." No professionalism. Just a clear message: we don't care. A tire shop should understand emergencies. A business should understand customers. This place understands neither. Warning to other Yelpers: If you ever find yourself broken down, hauling a trailer, or in a time-sensitive emergency -- do not come here expecting help, compassion, or basic courtesy. You will leave more frustrated than when you arrived. There are plenty of shops that know how to treat people with respect. This is not one of them. Consider this your warning.
