    6x12 enclosed trailer
    Jessica B.

Jeremy and Nick helped my fiancé and I with getting a 6x12 enclosed trailer for our upcoming out of state move. They were super friendly and treated you as if they've known you for a long time. Quick, easy and great experience. Much appreciated! Thanks Jeremy and Nick!

I purchased a trailer April of last year, used it very lightly occasionally to transport equipment and mulch. Keep in mind no heavy loads even though it's designed for heavy loads for months after warranty expired. The welding completely fell off and was stranded. Had to tow my trailer I have team to quote for repair. They couldn't honor the warranty, but they said they would discount half of the labor and the parts. They slap me with the 4200 repair estimate, including the discounts. I got another estimate from a reputable trailer company in San Jose. FJM trailers who is charging me 2100. They told me the welding was poorly done hardly any welding at all when you're paying $16,000 for a piece of equipment you expect it to last I would stay away from them. Please see pictures. I'm not to put a bad review I just don't do business with someone who lets me down but this is a big investment when you are paying 16-25 k for a trailer it needs to last more than 1 year and a half before any repairs take care of your money.

I went to Gilroy Trailer Repair today 3/26/12…read more I called and ask to speak to the manager she told me they could replace my running light on my trailer and to bring it in. I arrived at about 9:00 AM. The young man in the shop looked at my trailer and after about 15 min he found that one bulb was burned out and the other one they did not have in stock. However, he did suggest how I could fix it and that if I wanted they could order the other lens and bulb. The bulb cost sixty cents. I took a $20 bill into the office to pay for the bulb and she the manager said that will be $20 to cover for his time (about 15 min) wow that's $80 an hour just for time and another 60 cents for the bulb. I left there and wert to the welding and repair shop in San Martin called San Martin Specialty Shop - (408) 683-2121 - 80 E San Martin Ave, San Martin, CA. Jeff the owner looked at my situation and said we can fix that small issue for you right now no problem They changed out two running lights, and grounded my rear tail light at a total cost of $35 - $15 more than the light bulb at Gilroy Trailer Repair. In short one thing stuck with me through this entire situation. I asked Jeff the owner of San Martin Specialty Show how was business and what he said next sums up my experience with Gilroy Trailer Repair. "If you treat your folk's right in good times and in bad times you will always do well" A lesson "Gilroy Trailer Repair" could learn. I will never go back their again for anything. In closing, I believe in paying for services due but come on $20 for a light bulb and letting me know you can't fix my issue.

The RV had to be ready to take me to San Diego where I will start my new job. As the inspection continued the number of mandatory safety and repair issues increased exponentially. I can honestly say they saved my life and probably the lives of everyone else on the road with me. This is no exaggeration. I am driving a 33000 pound vehicle. When you step on the brakes you need the vehicle to come to a complete stop safely. You want the lights to work, the electrical to work, the plumbing to work and the propane not to leak. Bay Area RV found and fixed so many crucial items that I would never have known about if it wasn't for them. Even though my total repair bill was significantly higher than I could ever have anticipated, I now have a safe , fully operational and beautiful RV that will last me for many years to come. I can't list all the details because they would be too numerous, but the number of times they have cut cost, discounted labor, and went above and beyond to work with their vendors and mine to get me the best possible price for the mandatory parts I needed is more than I think anyone else would have ever done for me. Even after I am down in San Diego I am going to drive that RV right back up here for any major work that needs to be done because I know it will be done right and with honor and with integrity. I can honestly say that they put me ahead of their own profits. My final bill was high but that is not their fault and it could have been much much worse if I had taken it to someone else. I don't want to exclude anyone on their amazing team but I do want to give a shout out to Alison and Alberto. You have made a friend and customer for life.

This is a difficult review to write because there are people at this shop who I find to be very personable and friendly. I've never written a review, or allowed a review to stand, that does not reflect an honest assessment of a business (good, bad or in-between). I write reviews that I wish someone had written for me before patronizing a business. Fleet Bodyworx is an average to mediocre body shop. I believe that they are capable of doing good work, but their business model appears to be to do high volumes of government and industrial trucks and other vehicles. I had work done on personally owned vehicles. Some specifics: LONG WAIT TIMES In each case, it took Fleet Bodyworx months to complete work on my vehicles. LACK OF CRAFT AND WORKMANSHIP In the most recent example, my truck was painted and after 6 months the paint began lifting off the roof. Other examples include poor color matching, lack of sanding and body preparation, painting over an easily correctable dent, failure to polish a rough painted finish resulting in finish mismatch, sloppy reassembly of a door panel and that's just what I could determine on two vehicles. CUSTOMER SERVICE In the above recent example of a paint literally peeling off, Fleet Bodyworx did not warranty the work. When a body shop is shown that their paint work won't stick to the surface for more than a football season -- and warrantying the work is a problem, that crosses the line for me. Where Fleet Bodyworx has strength is in that they can work on large vehicles, and they have ability to perform mechanical work. It is very difficult to find shops with paint booths that handle tall vehicles. If you're a United Van Lines or have a school bus and don't sweat the details you'd have difficulty finding a local alternative to Fleet Bodyworx. And I do reiterate, some of the guys there are exceptionally nice people. Read: I'm about to pay $1100 to another body shop to correct their work (that they won't warranty) and I still acknowledge that they are good people. They just can't paint well.

ONE STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. We came here during a literal roadside crisis -- a tire blowout on our trailer, leaving us stranded, stressed, and vulnerable. This wasn't a casual "shopping around" visit. This was an emergency situation where basic human decency and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, that is exactly what this place lacks. From the moment we arrived, the attitude was dismissive, cold, and openly rude. No greeting. No concern. No sense of urgency. Just irritation that we were even there. We explained the situation clearly: trailer disabled, equipment loaded, unsafe to continue driving. The response? Shrugs, short answers, and an unmistakable "not our problem" vibe. Instead of offering solutions, alternatives, or even a basic explanation, we were treated like an inconvenience. Questions were met with annoyance. Requests for help were brushed off. At no point did anyone in the office demonstrate the slightest bit of customer service or empathy -- something you'd expect especially from a tire shop that surely deals with breakdowns and blowouts every day. There was once gentleman, Benjamin, who did offer assistance and provided solutions to our situation but his supervisors discouraged his behaviors. Miguel especially was rude to my wife and my sister in law. What made this experience worse was the tone -- condescending, impatient, and borderline hostile. When people are already dealing with stress, danger, and unexpected costs, the last thing they need is to be spoken down to or treated like they're wasting your time. There was no effort to help us problem-solve. No "let's see what we can do." No professionalism. Just a clear message: we don't care. A tire shop should understand emergencies. A business should understand customers. This place understands neither. Warning to other Yelpers: If you ever find yourself broken down, hauling a trailer, or in a time-sensitive emergency -- do not come here expecting help, compassion, or basic courtesy. You will leave more frustrated than when you arrived. There are plenty of shops that know how to treat people with respect. This is not one of them. Consider this your warning.
