We were looking for an office closer to home, and I am so glad we found this clinic. Brenda and Jazmin took great care of my sons; they were both very gentle and made the boys feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I also appreciated the time Dr. Van took to explain the dental treatment and answer all of my questions and concerns. It was a very pleasant visit, and the clinic has a wonderful, homey feel. We are happy to have found our new pediatric dental office. read more

Love it here. Had to switch pediatric dentist cause our regular one stopped taking our insurance. Friends have told me about Gilroy pediatric density. Was a little hesitant just cause of the distance. At my kids first appointment they made them feel very comfortable and welcomed. Kids loved it. Very happy with our decision to come here. read more

We found Dr. Van when Ivy was 6 and Max was 4, many visits and two years later we have had nothing but good experiences with the front desk staff, the hygienist, and the doctor. The staff takes their time with our kids and while we learned that there can be a wait to be seen on arrival the actual cleanings and work are fast and pain free for the most part. We have only had one bigger fix that required putting our daughter under anesthesia. The staff gave us a thorough explanation of set expectations of the process. It made kind of a scary thing much easier to watch. Dr. Van and his assistant were impressive and the repairs were finished in about the time expected including one difficult tooth. If you are reading this don't let insurance always tell you where to go. Consider seeing this dentist and at least get some pricing with and without. read more

We brought our 2 year old today for her first visit and we had such an amazing experience. All staff went above and beyond to make her visit pleasant and I appreciate all the education they provided us as parents. My daughter is a huge fan of fish and she was in heaven with all the fish tanks- she didn't want to leave! I appreciate all the attention to detail and the little things (fish tanks for her to look at, cool sunglasses for her to wear, the first visit photo, gift bag and the little toy at the end) that made this visit so special and something positive to look back on. Highly recommend bringing your children here! read more

As always, we deeply appreciate Dr. Van's exceptional care! My children eagerly anticipate the floor game, prize wall, and all the delightful little prizes they receive at the end of their visits. Two of my three children required treatment. Dr. Van went above and beyond to walk me through the treatment and procedures. His approach was to ensure that my children had a positive experience while simultaneously addressing my children's specific needs. Thank you, Dr. Van! I truly appreciate you taking care of my little ones. read more

I've been taking my son to see Dr. Van for the past ~4 years, since he had teeth come in. I've only had excellent experiences since our first time coming in, where the staff is consistently punctual, extremely accommodating, and friendly through the entire visit. We went from my son being afraid to having his teeth cleaned to being excited to go in (the small prize that he gets at the end probably doesn't hurt with that!). The staff are very kind and understanding, and take the time to explain to both my son and myself everything that's going on, and always provide helpful advice to help him develop healthy habits. Dr. Van and his team are amazing! read more

The team at gilroy pediatrics are the best. We were traveling and visiting friends when my son had an accident and chipped his tooth. They were able to get us in, reassured us that everything was going to be fine and helped fix his tooth. He was back to smiling and eating like normal that evening! Thanks again to the wonderful team here read more

So grateful for Dr. Van taking our toddler today. We had an emergency and the team totally came to the rescue! His gums were very swollen. Our 2 year old is very resistant to doctors/health office visits but Dr.Van and the team came through for him. They knew exactly what to do, were patient, and efficient in getting him through the challenging check up. They ended with joy! Our babe left calm and excited about his toy :) read more

Finding Gilroy Pediatric dentistry was the best thing that has ever happened for my little ones. I've been to multiple dentist who were untrained or overcharged for dental services. The staff here are so friendly and very professional. Dr.Van and his team makes it their goal to give your child the right treatment they need. Both my kids love going to the dentist and I'm so happy I found a place that I can trust with my little one's smile. They can get booked up for appointments very fast but they always try their best to accommodate you. Definitely recommending Gilroy Pediatric dentistry to all my friends and family. read more

We've been seeing Dr Van for a few years for my daughter. He's always been thorough, took his time, and is very good with keeping her calm. He tried to do a treatment on her teeth for the past year, but she was too nervous to go through with it. Despite the failed attempts, they never charged us extra! Finally a few months ago, Dr Van continued building great rapport with my daughter and she was able to do it!!! Dr Van is so patient and great with kids! Last week, when we came in for my toddler son for his third exam, we met Dr Huynh. She also has Dr Van's calm demeanor and was fantastic with my son! It was the smoothest dental experience he's had! We recommend Gilroy Pedatric Dentistry to all our friends and family. The doctors and team here are always so welcoming and they take great care of us! read more

Absolutely the best pediatric dental experience ever! Dr. Van and the entire staff are gentle, friendly, and make you and your child feel so comfortable and well cared for. Absolutely the BEST pediatric dental experience. From the moment we walked in, the team was warm, welcoming, and incredible with my toddler. The office is fun, inviting, and truly kid-friendly. I took my 2 year old into Dr. Van's practice for the first time dental visit. His staff acknowledged us when we came through the door. Our dental assistant was Janet and she was very thorough in explaining what we could experience with our son at his current age. Janet also gave us a run through of how Dr. Van was going to examine our son and how long to expect the exam to be. Dr. Van performed the exam and then gave us his assessment of our kid, what we could expect to happen with his current jaw and teeth anatomy, and provide us with areas of focus to prevent cavities. I appreciate his demeanor and breaking down so I could understand what needs to be done to take care of my kid. My son got a token for the prize after his visit and there's a cool sign on the wall (which reminds me of the train stations) to send us off. A+. Great vibe and service. Will be coming back. read more

Thank you Dr. Van and the amazing team at Gilroy Pediatric Dentistry. We've been bringing our kids here since our first child, then our second, and now our third, and every single visit over the years has been a great experience. In fact, our kids are excited to come to their dental appointments, which says everything. The office truly caters to children. They love the games projected on the floor, and when they do well, they're rewarded with a goodie bag and a coin for the vending machine. It makes the whole visit fun, positive, and something they actually look forward to. Dr. Van and the entire staff are incredibly kind, patient, and gentle with kids. They take the time to explain things in a way children understand and make both parents and kids feel comfortable. Appointments are well-organized, timely, and never feel rushed. We've had another great visit here and couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a pediatric dental office that genuinely cares about kids and builds long-term trust with families, I highly recommend Gilroy Pediatric Dentistry! read more

I finally took my son in for his first dental visit last month with Dr. Van. Due to the covid pandemic my 5 year old hadn't been to a dentist until a month ago. Dr. Van and his staff were all very patient and made him feel so comfortable. If I could give this a negative star, I would. I took my kid here about 2 weeks ago, and they kept offering my child laughing gas (even though it wasn't an invasive procedure). I kindly kept refusing but they kept on pressing the issue. The second issue I have, is with dr hai hyunh. This dr kept insisting she told me she discussed certain things with me prior to doing the dental work, but she did not. I specifically told her what my child needed done, she did not listen, and did more than what was warranted. Then, the she had the audacity to tell me that I was in the wrong, and she had discussed this prior, but again she did not. I confirmed before she did the procedure and she continued to do what she wanted, so she could probably rake in more money for the company, who knows. But hence, why the one star. Never coming back! read more

Came here with my twins for their first ever dentist check up. I'm happy I was able to find Dr. Von and his team in Gilroy, thanks to Yelp. Scheduling an appointment was very easy, they were able to squeeze us in almost within a week. Reminders were consistent which I do like, I tend to forget things. The lobby was really clean and the decor was great. Very nautical/ship inspired theme. The staff were very welcoming and didn't mind my twins crying and losing their minds. We waited for about 5ish minutes until we went back and had the run down of what was to come. Dr. Von showed up shortly thereafter. He was very informative and did a wonderful job checking and cleaning their teeth. He gave us some good pointers and tips for future care. Of course I scheduled another appointment, Dr. Von and his team will definitely be our go to. I'm more than happy with this experience and glad my kiddos were established with a great dentist and team. read more

From the moment we went in and the moment we were done it was a great first experience for my toddler to be seen by a dentist. The staff and Dr. Van were patient and clear in handling the process, cleaning procedure and regular check up. They used words that were on the same language level of my son. No fuss and tantrum. My kid was also impressed with the aquariums, the reward wall and the visual floor games. He came home saying he loves his dentist and everyone in the office and moreover narrated the dental health education he was presented with (sugar bugs, cavities, toothbrushing, flossing and etc). Indeed, it was smooth sailing! I will definitely recommend this practice to families. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. It's a shame that Gilroy has nothing better. They're all about money and they never have your best interest at heart. They'll tell you things to maximize their pockets, but when it comes down to things, they'll lie and keep information from you. I took my children here, and they needed a procedure, and the price for the procedure was off the roof. I went to ask for a second opinion and was told there are other options, and that they didn't want us to know about. Shady place. Save your time and money. read more

Picking a dentist that is trusting and knowledgeable is hard for your little one. The ratings on this office lived up to their reputation based on our first experience! We recently moved from the east coast to California. Our 5 yr old just loved the lay out of this office. The theme of being inside a boat was awesome. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Van was so patient with our son. He walked us through the expectations of the visit and educated us on the health of our son's growing teeth. I took my 2.5 year old daughter to Gilroy Pediatric for her first dental appointment. I expected them to maybe look at her teeth and assumed she'd have a melt down, but I knew I wanted to get her familiar with the dentist. But, the people who work here are SO kind, understanding, and thorough. They were able to actually brush her teeth, floss, and apply a fluoride treatment that was safe for her! They took their time and let her get adjusted to the office, talked to her about good dental health, showed lots of pictures, and then actually convinced her to let them do some work! It was amazing. Dr Van is worth every mile to get to. We originally were living in Carmel and now we are a traveling family and no matter where we are we always find our way back to Dr Van for our dental care. We traveled all the way from Texas this time to receive the best service yet again. My son was skateboarding and chipped both his front teeth so a cosmetic rebuild was a must. Immediately I was not worried because I knew Dr. Van exist and my kids both love Dr. Van. He goes beyond measures to make sure the upmost comfort and dialed in detail goes into his work. So we made and appointment and flew out to have Dr. Van make my son like new again with a smile worth millions. Thank you so much for the love and care you have not only given to my family all these years but to all those other pretty smiles that exist because of you. Dr. Van saw my 22 month year old daughter last week for her first dentist appointment ever. Everything went super smoothly. I scheduled he appointment over the phone and all the forms were sent to us electronically. I received appointment reminders from the office by text message. The office is decorated with a fun nautical theme, which kept my daughter unafraid throughout the process. She loved looking at the fish in the tank and the decorations all over the walls. The office took particular care with COVID precautions. We called in when we arrived and the staff took us in with full protective gear. The chairs were covered with a disposable plastic and the staff all had respirators. There was also an air filter next to the chair and plenty of hand sanitizer available. Kim cleaned my daughter's teeth. She had a great chair-side manner and my daughter was very happy. I guess it helps that my daughter loves the flavor of toothpaste. :) Finally, Dr. Van came and took a look at my daughter's teeth, gave us tips for brushing, pacifier weaning, and things to look out for. He was very detailed and answered all of our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Everything went great. read more

We recently moved to Gilroy from SJ. My daughter was being seen at Silicon Valley Pediatric dentistry and we had good experience there. But since driving there from gilroy was a long commute, I thought to give Gilroy Pediatric Dentistry a try. I am glad I did. My daughter had one of the best experience and I had never seen her that happy coming out of a doctor or dentists office. The entire staff is amazing there. Our dental Hygienist was extremely friendly, and did a wonderful job cleaning and explaining everything to my daughter. She even gave her a price at the end of her exam which made her days. Dr. Van himself is absolutely AMAZING!!! He's probably the best dentist with great skills. The way they did the entire exam was above our expectations. This was my daughter's first dental experience and I am so happy with our decision. We typically go to a holistic dentist (ours closed unexpectedly), so I decided to try a pediatric dentist that is closer to home for us. We were previously traveling all the way to Sunnyvale to see our dentist. We don't use fluoride, and the staff was super supportive about our choice/declining it at the exam/cleaning. It was wonderful! It aligned with all of our parenting preferences (no use of force etc.), it was all super developmentally/age appropriate. It was a wonderful experience. Dr Van is awesome! Typically, my nephews are pretty rowdy, and they do not enjoy going to the dentist. However, I'm happy to say that they thoroughly enjoyed their first visit here. Dr Van immediately hit it off with the boys, and made them feel at home. Dr Van was also very thorough and even went through a presentation with me that covered different stages of dental development. I thought this was very helpful and never had any other doctor do that for us before. The practice itself is very inviting, with cute themed decor to make sure the kids feel more welcome. The facility was clean and the staff were also very sweet. At the end of the visit, the boys were given goodie bags and spoiled with gifts and toys. The boys were all entered into the no cavities club, which got them all very excited. I look forward to our next visit and so do the kids! I strongly recommend Dr Van and his team! read more
