We love Dr Gabor! We transitioned to her from another peds dentistry office and could not have been happier. My regret is we didn't go to her sooner. She is great with my kids (age 4 & 2). Their office staff is responsive and she goes the extra mile to monitor and ensure good dental hygiene and the health of my kids' teeth. Dr. Gabor has taken excellent care of our 3 children's teeth for the past 13 years. The facility is immaculate. The staff is always professional and kind. My youngest says the staff is "fun to talk to" and "they have funny things to say". Dr. Gabor takes preventative measures and is candid with her assessment of each patient. My 3.5 year old saw this dentist twice... The first time was ok, the assistant was helpful in working with my son to encourage him to sit in the chair, etc. I was allowed to be present in the room. The dentist was a bit gruff, but no alarms went off for me...yet! The second time was a nightmare. The assistant came out to the lobby and informed me that I was NOT welcome into the back with my son. She proceeded to tell my 3.5 year old that he HAD to come back to see the dentist...when he resisted, the dentist came out and they literally grabbed him by the arms and drug him to the back, kicking and screaming. He screamed bloody murder the entire time he was back there and I should have pushed my way back, but the receptionist insisted that he was fine and they he needed to be there by himself. I sat there horrified to listen to my little guy cry his head off. After a while, Dr Gabor came out and asked me to talk in her office. She proceeded to tell me that my son was "very angry" and should go to anger management. She went as far to say that she thought I should SPANK my son...I'm thinking, are you a dentist or a qualified child psychologist. I finally went to rescue my son who was still trying to catch his breath from crying so hard. I feel terrible that I let him endure this and fear he will be traumatized to ever see a dentist again. Protect your children by NOT taking them to this woman who seems to have an anger problem herself. read more

I went to Dr. Gabor myself as a child, as did my sister... She took EXCELLENT care of our teeth and when we became older referred us to great orthodontists and adult dentists in the area. Now I have a 3 year old son myself, and I took him to see her this past month... he has been traumatized from his last doctors visit from getting his shots, so he was ok in the waiting room but had to sit on my lap when it was his turn to be examined.. I think he was scared he was going to get shots ;) Anyway, Dr. Gabor was VERY SWEET TO HIM, and talked him through the entire process of looking into his mouth. After she helped him get stickers and toys, and even held him on her lap in the waiting room and talked to him some more. Now he tells me every week: "Mom no more shots no more doctor... I WANT THE DENTIST, SHE'S NICE, AND I WANT STICKERS.." hahaha, so I guess Dr. Gabor was a hit! So i'm glad that on top of her taking great care of my sons teeth this is one medical office he will actually be happy to visit. :) read more

So I went to dr. Gabor as a child. I had a horrible experience as a child. She strapped me down on a table because I was so scared and made my parents leave the room. She was absoulety does not know how to work with children that are scared after reading these reviews I can post that confidently. My mom said I would come out of the offices with my cheeks red. As a adult and a teacher. One of my students mention that this was he dentist! I asked her how she felt and she said she hated her! I couldn't believe it. I would not recommend her to anyone. We visited several months ago for my 3 and 1 year old first visit. It was fine. They were kind, easy and gentle. Nothing complicated. Yesterday, I had a dental emergency with my 3.5 year old that needed to be addressed immediately. I called both of their emergency lines, left a message, emailed them. Heard nothing, still nothing today. Why offer an emergency line if you don't answer it or return calls? I should be able to trust my doctor to assist me in times like this. Our experience with Dr. Gabor, and her staff, has been fantastic and very different from that of the first reviewer. In fact, we've referred her office to many parents in the local area. We've got 3 kids with wildly different personalities, including one who is autistic and finds the dr/dentist experience to be quite unpleasant. All 3 have been cared for in a way that makes the best sense for them; sometimes we go back with them, sometimes we don't, ultimately it's up to us as parents. They have been very encouraging with our autistic son, giving us tips, and have always been patient during some tough times. All that, and they are very involved in the community too. And did I mention, the bill matches what the insurance pays - I don't have to pay extra (imagine that)? read more

I have a 15 year old and a 1 year old that have been going to Dr. Gabor since their first dental visit. My teen still loves going to Dr. Gabor and wishes to never leave. She was very patient with my 1 yr old that screamed throughout her exam. Dr. Gabor and her staff are very friendly and kind. I can't give 0 stars so I am stuck giving 1 star. Extremely poor service. We have dual dental insurance for our daughter. This office failed to bill the insurance company, then proceeded to call us stating there were issues with our child's name. They claimed they couldn't bill the second insurance, because insurance doesn't work like that. I went to my HR office and provided them with the barrier, they contacted my insurance and stated there was no issues. (Mind you this was the second visit & no prior issues with billing) They called 2 times asking for payment. They claimed they could not bill insurance still..... We received a bill from collection agency for services. After making contact they informed that they needed to be paid. We asked them to bill second insurance. They refused. Why?!!! Incompetent staff, not customer service oriented, lacked accountability, and all over a simple teeth cleaning for our 5 year old. We will not bring our child back, we are two individuals with dual coverage and never had insurance issues. We paid our collections bill $200 and hope the office is happy as they lost a patient. When I took my son to his first dental visit ever I was very impressed with Dr. Gabor and all her staff. She really helped him feel comfortable, at 19 months old, with the whole process. That was back in 2009 and now I have three children who all see her. They would tell you: be sure to bring pennies for the wishing well in the parking lot! read more

No, that is not what I was told , and your office error shouldn't have been my problem as I paid for my services the last time we were there, it was not an insurance issue at all . And I shouldn't have had to pay out of pocket and then bill my insurance company afterward , I've never had to do that with any dental visits! read more

My children love Dr. Gabor and feel very comfortable in her care. She keeps our visits very relaxed and easy without increasing anxiety.

So far so good with Dr. Gabor! Took my 2 kids for the first time last week...they are 3 and 5. Both have been to dentists a lot in the past and they actually enjoy it (little do they know right!?)....and Dr Gabor did let me in the room. All the staff was welcoming and friendly. It is a big exam room, no privacy from other patients but that was nice in our case...both kids got to be near eachother and it was just us. My son was allowed to sit on my lap. They did tell me that in the future, the kids would be called back without me. I didn't get the impression that I would be refused if someone had a breakdown, but the office staff is friendly and I don't anticipate I'll have any problem with them going it alone next time. After a tooth extraction for my eldest, her assistant worked tirelessly to get insurance approval and after about 10 months of working with our insurance, the claim was paid. Never once did they ask for me to pay the $300 (I think that was the amount)...she just kept trying! That is service!!! read more

I took my child to Dr. Gabor this summer. She came highly recommended. The office staff was friendly. We waited in the waiting room for quite some time and we were early for our appt. My child is under 5. A young child was next to me with mom. An assistant came from the back and asked to take the child with her. The child was screaming as she carried the child to the back. I asked the mom why she wasn't going with her child and she stated, "They do not want parents back there after a certain age." I asked how old her child was and she said 3. She also added her child does better without her which I can understand. I could hear the child screaming the entire time in the back. The child came out with a swollen face and they said the child did great. There are two solid doors as well as a wall to ceiling glass/poly wall that blocks the receptionist desk from the waiting room. The child was screaming really loud to be heard in the waiting room. Next it was our turn. I stood up with my child and walked into the back. The second sentence out of the dentist's mouth was, "We don't want parents back here." My child was calm and happy in the chair. She was kind to my child but again she repeated they do not like parents in the back. She said she was surprised that my child did fine with me back there. She had a 2nd person helping her with my child. They seemed a bit forceful keeping my child's mouth open even though my child was fine with the experience. This is very different from our past dental experience which was open, no doors on the rooms, parents were invited into the rooms. Only one person is working on the child. I never heard a child cry at our previous dentist. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone unless you have a calm, non wiggling child with clean teeth. I would also recommend not ever allowing your child to see this dentist alone even at a later age. There are other reviews on additional sites as well. All of our kids (ages 4, 8 and 10) have been seeing Dr. Gabor since they were 2 years old. They LOVE going to the dentist and have never had an issue. She and her staff are very welcoming. Sure they recommend the parent not come back with the child but it's just like going to pre-school; if you act like things are fine and encourage them to go in they are eventually fine. They also love getting the "goodie bags" at the end of their appointments! Dr. Gabor also has an amazing Halloween party every year for her patients. I can't say enough good things about Dr.Gabor and her great staff. We have trusted them with providing excellent care to our 2 children for the past 8 yrs. Everyone is so friendly from the moment you walk in at the receptionist desk to the assistants and of course Dr. Gabor. I can recall a time where our daughter had to have some work done and Dr. Gabor called later to ask how she was. I feel they go above and beyond with providing great care and service. Yes, they don't encourage the parents to be with the child in the back, but to us we feel that works. Our children have never been unhappy going there and to me that says a lot. Wonderful dentist and great officer personnel. Dr. Gabor is thorough and very kind. She met us late at night to do emergency surgery on my 10 year old son when he got hit in the teeth with a baseball during a pitching practice. Dr. Gabor answered her phone at 10pm, met us at her office, then her husband showed up (also a dental surgeon) to help. I can't say enough about her and how great she is. My sons are now 25 and 23 and they would still be seeing her, but she finally told them they needed to see a "grown-up" dentist. She referred them to a great dentist because they were already in their twenties. I still have my 15 year old seeing Dr. Gabor and we couldn't be happier with the service. read more

we went there thinking she was going to be a great dentist for children. got great reviews.. but that is not the case! she had no compassion whatsoever! even the assistants were not that great. the only person who was very nice was the receptionist. my son kept telling the assistant and the dentist that they were hurting him when they were cleaning his teeth and they kept saying" oh we're not hurting you" then i look over at my son and he has a tear rolling down his face.. and i am thinking... he is very upset( i regret not pullling him out of the chair at that moment). Then my son kept saying it was hurting and the dentist says"you complain too much.. i feel sorry for your future wife" i was horrified! when she said that she was smiling and looked over at me and i just glared at her. She was very critical making it sound like i didn't know what i was doing and not taking good care of my kids. I called her office later( after i cooled down a bit) had to leave a message about how i felt about the visit... and i never got a return call ... it's like they didn't care.. didn't try to apologize or fix the problem. needless to say we will NEVER go back! read more
