It was recommended to me that I come here to get my car repaired, instead of another Ford dealership, because of the service department's "people skills." And yet, when I came, I was scoffed at, told that what I knew was wrong with the car couldn't possibly be wrong, and that since I didn't have an appointment, they'd look at it sometime in the next few weeks. No estimate of how long. I was pressured to pay a diagnostic fee, and the more I pushed back against any of this, the more I was reminded of the service person's years of experience and that I didn't know what I was talking about. In the end, the car was fixed a few days later, the thing that I thought was wrong *was* wrong, along with a million other things, and there was no issue with the billing. But I would think twice about coming back again... being belittled isn't exactly the people skills I look for when my car is broken. read more

for starters I think how the employees are treated should be the to be concerned first. I have known many employees that have worked there and still do there. especially during this heat wave they can't even put out cold water or drinks for the employees, or even give them extra breaks . I know many people have all told me about the favoritism in that place and how employees get pushed to the side or their or issues are not handled properly. their new George the way he his employees is absolutely insane. How he is constantly hounding them bothering them every few minutes trying to push them to get the work because he doesn't know how to take on a proper workload for the amount of people he has on his team is absolutely ridiculous. The other service writers are not much better either when talking to them about concerns. the building is very outdated and you can see looking into the shop there's many safety concern. i would imagine OSHA would have a field day in this establishment, especially after speaking with the employees. was speaking with multiple employees over the years and now I do not understand how this establishment has not corrected any of these issues or have attempted to make any proper changes concerning these issues. I was passing through earlier today and asked one of the employees if they had any cold beverages out for the techs in the shop.and what a surprise there was not. I however did see the quicklane manager ridding the employees to work faster because of all the cars he had taken in, as the techs are all soaked in sweat. I need major changes need made immediately, or I don't blame anyone who works there to walk out for such poor working conditions. I quit working there around 2024 after working there for approximately three years give or take. When I was rehired at Gilboy Ford I absolutely loved my job within the first year and It wasn't until about a year and a half into my tenure at Gilboy that I noticed a lot more stuff was being thrown on recon (as if we weren't short staffed already) to do. I was hired specifically as a detailer (and yes, I know lot calls were part of it) and then it went into fixing faucets, replacing lightbulbs and if the lightbulb didn't solve the problem then replacing ballasts (and was told oh just do it with the lights on and said no because I do not want to get electrocuted), customer vehicle pick up and delivery, taking scrap to the scrapyard, customer washes, checking in new vehicles and stocking them in, and rarely acknowledged and thanked for busting our butts!!!!! I'm not afraid of working hard and having a lot to do however, there was a lot of stuff that just should've been done professionally Especially when it came to me being asked to clean feces out of the car that a homeless person was staying in!! of course I didn't say no because I didn't wanna get fired and didn't know if I could legally get fired for saying no. I went and cleaned it. That should've been done by a trained professional because I do not have training for handling bodily fluids nor did I have the appropriate attire to do so!!! When I left a handful of other people left after me and that is because of a common denominator! That common denominator is very unprofessional and will talk about you behind your back. 1 star is too nice. Buyer Beware!! STOP!!! PLEASE READ DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. WHAT A BUNCH OF LIARS. I'm in the car business and Gilboy Ford is the kind of dealership that gives the industry a bad name. If anyone at my dealership acted like this, I would have fired them. On May 4th I contacted Gilboy Ford about buying a car, we came to an agreement on price. I asked several questions about the car's condition, if it had been smoked in, any leaks or problems with the car. etc. I live in North Carolina and buying a car sight unseen can be stressful. You're hoping that the dealership is a reputable one. Boy was I wrong! On May 6th The finance person Maria is a total smart ass. She went on my work company website to make sure I was a real person. (HER WORDS) Then called me and said wow I hope that's your daughter that works in the parts dept.. Really? Yes that's my daughter! We work at the same dealership. What are you implying? Very disrespectful and unprofessional. This is the kind of person that makes you never buy a car at a dealership again. From the words I would like to buy this car. All I have heard is lie after lie with sarcasm. After several days I received my paperwork via fedex. I signed, scanned and emailed all forms back to Maria and Next day aired via FedEx all paperwork. I put insurance on the car and waited. And waited. I could not get an answer as to when I could pick up the car. As I had scheduled a shipping company to pick it up for me. After calling day after day and was told (when Maria did answer her phone) that. She was not going to give me the car until she had money from the bank in her account. So I called my bank and they had advised me that Gilboy Ford was paid the day after sending the paperwork. What the heck. Why the delay? After waiting for several days, She told me they had the money. So I sent the shipping company to pick it up. Guess what Gilboy Ford would not release the car to the shipping company. WOW NO CAR!. So I had to pay a shipping company for 3 days to wait for it. Hotel, Meals etc. Lets just say it cost me a small fortune. Maria would not answer or take any of my calls. My salesperson told me to talk to Maria. On May 18th I was told again to come get the car. Finally!! The driver from the shipping company called me and told me he has the car. The shipping company took pictures of when they loaded the car. I wish I had seen it before I bought it. The pictures on the dealership website do not look like the car I got in my opinion. Car showed up the next day at my home. This car was a gift to my wife. The car was super nasty. My wife found a chicken wing under the seat. Really! . No gas, check engine light was on and bad brakes. And a huge dent in the frt fender. And to top it off it had been smoked in. And one of my first questions was DID IT SMELL LIKE SMOKE! Had to spend $582 on new brakes. $380 for a 02 sensor, $1100 on a new fender, $160 TPS sensor. and $800 paint. Now I have a bad oil leak. And we have only been 50 miles .....REALLY.... It's now July 7th and my wife can't drive the car. Temp tag is expired. I paid for a North Carolina tag but have not received it. Called Maria she advised me it's after 5pm I'll check tomorrow...... really!!. It was 5:15pm. Called the next day before 5pm and asked for my tag that I paid for and was told just use a dealer tag from my place of employment until she can figure out whats the problem. Wow first off I can't use my North Carolina dealer tag it's against the law. NOTE when a dealership has not supplied a Hard Tag for a vehicle this usually means they don't have the title! Marie would now no longer talk to me as her part was done. WOW I have no tag for the car. So BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. All I asked for was to buy a good clean car free of needing 100's of dollars of work! receive it in a timely manner with a tag and give me what I paid for. Not all the lies, sarcasm, and all the unprofessional bull. I would love for a manager or owner to contact me. I have left several messages with no return call or email. I just need my Tags so I can take the car back to the shop and pay more $ to have the oil leak fixed! And most importantly so my wife can drive the car. Simple. Bought my truck from here in 2020. I had a great buying experience. But ever since then, nobody calls me back. I call and leave voicemails and still nothing. Been trying to get my truck in for an oil change and inspection. Left 3 voicemails, 2 were automated and 1 I left with one with a female. Still haven't received a call back. Soon I'm just going to take it to Mavis. They haven't let me down with my other vehicles. And they know how to answer the phone and call you back. read more

Dont waste your time with getting your vehicle serviced at this dealership. I took my bronco here 7 times to fix and air leak in the hardtop. They first insisted it was the hardtop itself, which was sold to me with cosmetic damage (which I understood happened to a few of the new broncos). Gilboy replaced the hardtop twice, they were not satisfied with the first one and waited for another to come in (which I was grateful for). The air leak issue was still not resolved with the new hardtop. First they said they could not find the air leak, then said they fixed it, which they did not and then they said "it was just how a hardtop sounds". Mind you, I've owned a jeep wrangler and know how a normal hardtop vehicle sounds. My issue was an air leak that sounded like a window was cracked open. I took my bronco to Koch 33 Ford after talking to Ford corporate and they fixed the issue in 1 visit. They heard the problem right away, they ran numerous tests and ensured the issue was resolved before returning my vehicle. Gilboy Ford doesn't care about your time or your vehicle. This dealership is 2 minutes away from my house and I'd rather drive the 30 minutes and have my vehicle serviced at Koch 33. read more

Worst service ever. Mr Gilboy will give a us a coupon book I got a flat tire after less than 5000 miles. Sucks to get and fro work had to drive 22 from easton to whitehall. I ordered this car and had to wait 16 weeks for it. I got nothing. Car came in paid for extended warrenty bumper to bumper 100000, Why didn't they offer the road hazard warranty 5002 miles nail in tire not covered under any warranty they didn't offer a warranty. But they didn't have my tire took over a week to get it. Did they give me anything off for my wait? NO how can you sell a car and not have a replacement tire for over a week. I have to work ( as a Nurse sorry can't take care you because of a bad tire) how do i get there? Please beware. Please do something so this doesn't happen to someone else. read more

Purchased my car in early 2013 from the salesman named Cupid an African-American guy really nice wonderful personality my overall experience was fine I thought they came out with the paperwork and you know how they flip the sheets at the bottom and ask for your signature multiple times so I signed my fault of course all excited about my new car. It all started when I made sure to ask for the ford warranty I've owned four Ford vehicles I currently own three I sold one last year. My problem started when I was passed the 36 month mark and I went in for service at a Ford dealership and they told me the warranty was a third-party warranty it wasn't a Ford warranty, I was shocked and very annoyed even wrote Ford and that didn't help at all even spoke to the sales manager and he hardly helped. Bottom line it's a shame when you ask for a ford warranty and they sell you a third-party warranty and don't tell you then ask you to sign paperwork by flipping the bottom of each sheet as excited as you are to pick up your new vehicle. So shame on Cupid and the dealership for this. Since then I picked up a Ford F1 50 truck from another dealership and I promised myself I will never go back there for service or sales. Not sure why I didn't think to write this a long while ago but then I wasn't on yelp. I hope this helps someone to double check and trip check before buying but bottom line salesmen should be very upfront about everything. read more

Service department is poorly managed and lacks quality control. Local Jiffy Lube seems to run more efficiently and at a higher level of performance. Brought my vehicle in for multiple issues. Two days and $2,000 later I picked the car up. Not only did they "forget" the complimentary car wash, but they also "forgot" to install the new inspection stickers. Makes me wonder what else I paid for that they "forgot" to do. Three days later my check engine light came on again! Two thumbs down for service. No attention to detail. No quality check. I bought a certified 2014 F-150 pick up from Gilboy. I asked, and was told, over and over by the salesmen , yes it comes with a 12 month ,or 12 k mile 100% warranty! I looked under the hood and saw an old leaky battery. I was told it would be replaced. Went to pick the truck up. Still had the old battery in it. Then I was told, They checked it . And there's noting wrong with it ! A few days latter while out of state. Guess what ? I had to be JUMPED 8 times till I could get an appointment to have it replaced. A few weeks latter. I had a antifreeze leak at the T connector. Tried for 2 weeks to get an appointment. Brought it in Fri. 9th. Was told , Yes they smell ANTIFREEZE LEAKING ! They would fix it ,and have it done Mon. 12th. Tue. 13th. I called them. I was told there's noting wrong ! [ just like the battery] After arguing that yes there is! They said OK, it would be ready Fri. 16th. [NO CALL AGAIN] Went in Sat.17th. Was told it would be done Mon.19th. FOR SURE! [NO CALL] Tue. 20th. I called again at 4 p.m. .They said it's done. Then I'm told I have to pay $100.00 Deductible ! After being told by the sales person over and over .Yes it has a 12 month/12 k mile 100% coverage. bumper to bumper it wont cost me anything! Then the bill was $109.00 For some reason. I get it home and the antifreeze was never filled back up. And, my running lights didn't work! {worked fine before I brought it in!] On top of all of that. When I was purchasing the truck. My name was spelled wrong on half the paper work. And when I got my owners card in the mail it had the wrong address on it ! Took my van in for service on a Monday morning without an appointment because it was stalling and Gilboy was the closest, never heard anything back from them. Called Tuesday morning was told Mike was on the phone and would call me back. Waited over an hour and called them back talked to Mike and was told he would try to look at it that day.Did not care that it is our only vechicle and my husband is blind. I hung up called Nazareth Ford and they told me to bring it in an they would look at it that afternoon. They called me a couple hours later and told me what the problem was and how much to fix it .
