I had been searching for the right person to overhaul our kitchen (painting cabinets, painting…read morewalls and backsplash), for many months. I received many quotes and eventually chose Derek bc of what I saw on his FB page, his responsiveness, and fair pricing. I was *not* disappointed. Derek is a true professional. He came through on everything he said he would do, he is extremely detail oriented, VERY efficient (finished everything in 4 days!), and he has a crew of guys who were all friendly and receptive to any feedback. Two hinges arrived a few days late and he came back to apply those himself - something we told him he didn't have to do. It is a true reflection of his professionalism. We will absolutely use him again in the future and would recommend him to friends, family and strangers alike!

Todd and his staff helped us throughout the process from demolition to design. They truly care about their quality of work and want their customers to be happy with the results. Recently we had an issue with the deck settling and sinking in a few spots, and they returned to make sure the problem was corrected to our satisfaction. I would trust them implicitly with any future remodeling projects and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor.

When I called for an estimate on a bathroom remodel the employee asked more questions about my budget than the work I wanted done and the materials I wanted to use. After I tried to steer the conversation back to the work I wanted done, the frustrated employee said that their bathroom remodel prices start at $25,000 and that it would be a waste of their time to do an estimate if I wasn't willing to pay that price. To be honest, none of the pictures of bathroom remodels on their website look like they justify a minimum $25K price tag so I decided to go with a more reasonably priced remodeler. Unfortunately, Tischendorf was more interested in seeing how deep my pockets were rather than my goals for the project. This just shows the importance of getting multiple quotes before deciding on a contractor.

Extremely impressed by John and the folks at J Francis. We were looking for a complete renovation…read moreof our house as we head into retirement. Since this is going to be our "forever home", I had some very specific items I wanted included. From our very first meeting, John took the time to listen to my ideas and concerns, and shape them into a "do-able" project. He also was prepared to give us a ballpark estimate of how much our work would run, which was extremely helpful in managing our expectations. We have completed the planning phase, and are ready to dive into the project in a few weeks. Despite the fact that I have been working out of town for much of the past year, the staff has never missed a beat, providing me with numerous e-mails, texts, and Hangouts to ensure I was a part of the planning process and constantly kept part of the proc. There was never a time when I felt "out of the loop", even though we worked long distance for much of the time. A renovation project of this size can be intimidating. But the professionals at J Francis have made us feel at ease throughout every step of the planning process. I would wholeheartedly recommend J Francis for any renovation project you may be planning. UPDATE: The renovation is complete...and looks fantastic! Hats off to Kortney and Dave, who were in constant communication with us throughout the project. As usual with a project of this magnitude, there were a few "surprises" that popped up (not their fault), but they were on top of everything and kept the project on schedule. We couldn't be happier with the results. I would give them our highest recommendation for any renovation project you might have in mind!

This is the second time my wife and I have used Pittsburgh Home Improvements and are extremely happy with the results. I have to say we can not be happier with the work tony does. If you look at some of my pictures of before and after you will be amazed. Plastering is an art and Tony has it locked down. His prices are fair and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and will definitely be using him again. Pittsburgh Home improvements does a lot more than just plastering but they do specialize in that. Tony does any and all home repairs including painting and remodelling. If you are in need of the best plasterer then definitely give Tony the owner a call as you will not be sorry.

The material they used left a 3 foot brown mark on the front of our house, which they assured us would either go away on it's own or the would come back to take care of it. Well it never went away, and it's an eye-sore to this day. I spent a lot of time out on the roof scrubbing away at it with a wire brush, but it's still there. I've texted and called and left several messages for these guys over the past month or so, which have been totally IGNORED. Who does that? Totally unprofessional. You guys told us you would take care of it and to follow up with us, and when we do, you ignore us. So now I have to strongly urge that no one use you guys, and also go hire someone else who can take care of the mess that you made. Big thumbs down for unprofessionalism.
