Clean, well maintained, and ample amenities present. Mini split did a great job keeping up with the 94 degree heat outside. It had a covered back porch with chairs and a swing. Out front was a fire pit, a PK brand grill, and a picnic table. Great amenities. Comfy bed and all appliances worked properly. The kayak rentals are expensive in my opinion. But, they do have a market for them and I am sure the insurance and operations of this place cost a dime at least. I wonder how many people drown on the river a year. Hmmm. I'll have to research. I would absolutely come back here in a heartbeat. The river was great. They moved our vehicle to the pick up spot for us. The process of getting the rentals was easy and efficient. Wild Bills was recommended to me and the rental and floating experience was seamless. I rented a kayak for the 10 mile float. It was late June and the water was perfect and the float was scenic. John provided a bronco busting bus ride to the river. The people at the shop were friendly and helpful. Kayak rental was $69 plus tax. But they do provide a 30 minute bus ride to the drop off to save you the trouble of running cars.

The man behind the counter told us that we may have to, drag our canoe through a couple of spots but no big deal. After setting up camp in Buffalo point campground and actually taking a look at the river and seeing people come off the river, everyone was dragging canoes and Buffalo point, most of the river was just simply ankle deep, we would've had to drag a canoe for miles through slippery rocks to get to the destination for pick up. So one of two things happened, the owners of wild Bill outfitter do not know the river conditions or they did not tell us the truth. So unfortunate. Needless to say, we did not show up the next morning bright and early to rent anything. I felt like I dodged a $100 bullet of frustration by not renting from these people. And I would not recommend wild bills outfitter for river conditions, information, go look for yourself.

They were very friendly at the front desk at check-in and while we were staying, the swimming spot was nice the views were great. Friendly restaurant. Mostly friendly staff. The showers for camping were musty though, would suffocate you in mildew smell while u shower and your only other option is the other ones closer to the campsites which I wouldn't even step into. Definitely no bare feet in either shower and make sure you don't touch the walls. The float was super fun and beautiful, the boat guys were nice until our last morning, we hadn't even checked out yet let alone there was no info on a checkout time and were not near home or know the area much. We figured we would let the kids swim one last time before heading out and get some fishing in, we were all packed up. My children and I floated down the rapids and caught ourselves at the sand bar of Dawt Mill that we were just staying at. One of the boat dudes asked if i was staying at Dawt mill I said yes but we were checking out today. He then said well then you need to get the hell off our sand. right to me and my children. I got upset and said some words to the guy and asked his name for being so rude. He then told me none of my fucking business. I got out on the other side of the water walked up to the front desk. The guy had already ran up there with his buddy and told front desk whatever he told them. The front desk had no manager on site at first then the lady proceeded to say she was the assistant manager but wouldn't give me her name or the boat guys name. She gave no eye contact and treated me like a pest, She then said checkout was at 11am so just shrugged her shoulders about how he acted, and then said "that's not what she heard" and then rudely said sorry we've been getting a lot of ppl not staying here going on our sand so he was probably just frustrated. Which is not my problem when he made me feel so unwelcome and uneasy, ruined my last morning and we weren't even hanging out on the sand we just got off the rapids there cuz it was easier with my children in stow. I didn't think I'd be so unwelcomed not even an hour after the checkout time. After not being able to assist me properly she called the boat guys manager who then said that it should've been okay for us to swim there since we were just there staying out of the way and the guy just probably didn't remember me and that he was sorry for what happened etc, I said thankyou for the sorry and consideration and I was glad there was actually someone with customer service around, but we just loaded up and left and not sure if we will ever be back. There is too many other places available on the North Fork River to be explored.

Only stayed for 2 nights so didn't ask if there's laundromat. If you're planning to stay here for a long period of time, make sure to ask. Front porch/yard has 2 rocking chairs, grill, fire pit, a beautiful stone table with "wood-looking" stumps, cornhole, horseshoe, and has to play basketball. Will definitely come back.

We were given plenty of information about events at the visitor's center, and also here at the park. The grounds are very clean, nicely paved roads and lots. The bathrooms are huge! They have private showers with the bathroom, heated and apparently recently remodeled. You won't find that at your other parks! The hook ups for water and electricity are newer and nice. I went into the marina and although I feel like their prices are a little on the pricey side they have really nice stuff in there and a really nice deck to sit out on and see the gorgeous river. I highly suggest this place as a great area to have your best camping experience!

Their business info states to come early for check-in so you can purchase sundries and snacks. Well there were things like chums, there were no snacks nor beverages for purchase. With the heat one would think it wise to offer water to your customers. On our trip the shuttle driver told us where to meet him for the shuttle pickup and about how much time it would take us to get there. There were 12 of us on the van and 10 of us were able to get to the place within 10 minutes arrival of each other. The last couple did not. We waited another 30 minutes in the heat for them to arrive. Although you cannot control for self absorbed people, it might be a good idea to give some instructions on keeping up in the group so that you are not holding everyone up waiting for you (think pace of play or pace of float). I would still recommend Float Eureka as they provided a great experience overall.

This is the BEST TRAIL in NWA! Period! I mean, come on: look at the 5-stars!…read more This is fairly easy hike for all skill levels. 3miles round-trip. 2-4hours total. Kids (and adults) will love scrambling on all the large rocks. Adults with enjoy the beauty of creation. And if you are brave enough, you will find a cathedral-type cave at the end of your journey. You do have to squeeze to find it, but the trip back into the cave is worth it--just be careful of any low hanging bats (lol!). My wife and I have lived in NWA for 5+ years and we do this hike at least once a year. Sometimes just us, but usually with a group and no one has ever complained about the distance or that they were bored. So good! I love this hike and I know you will too!!

Lost Valley Trail - Buffalo National River, Arkansas…read more Lost Valley Trail was a great hike and one of the highlights of our time exploring the Buffalo National River area. The trail takes you through a beautiful, heavily wooded Ozark landscape with towering trees, rocky creek beds, huge rock formations, and some really impressive bluffs along the way. We made our way to Eden Falls and also checked out the cave, which made the hike even more fun and adventurous. The scenery around the rock formations and cave was probably my favorite part of the trail. The only disappointment was that the area hadn't received much rain recently, so Eden Falls was completely dried up during our visit. Even without the waterfall flowing, though, the hike itself was definitely worth doing. The forest, cliffs, creek beds, and cave still provided plenty to see and made for a beautiful outdoor experience. Great hike with lots of variety and beautiful Ozark scenery. I would definitely recommend visiting--just try to go after some rainfall if you want to see Eden Falls flowing!
