Spent the night in a local hotel and called Toledo Auto Care the next morning to set up an appointment the next day. Turned out it was just some dirty oil that needed changing. The mechanic showed me the brakes and let me know that they were going to need changing sometime in the near future, but it wasn't anywhere close to the in-your-face sales pitch that some auto shops give you.
