They will not tell you some BS about something that's not wrong with your car and ask for a ton of money to fix a non existent problem. I know that if they find a problem, their labor fees (which are maybe a bit higher then some of the nationwide chains) are very worth it. I am assured that the mechanic working on my car is ASE certified and that he knows what they're doing. You pay for the best with everything else and with J&J I am more then happy to pay them what their time is worth, since I know that in the long run, I will save money by having my car serviced by a trustworthy shop, and that it will be done correct the first time. There are multiple times that I've taken my vehicle in for something that I thought was a bigger problem then what it was, and they fixed it for pennies compared to what I was quoted at other shops. One time in specific they fixed a y valve that split the coolant line into 2 pieces, I found out that the part was a pretty low cost part, but it was a bit difficult to install. When I took the vehicle to a "discount" chain to get a quote, i was quoted $500 for the part and $50 for the install. J&J Charged me under 100 for the part, and around 125 for the installation. They also told me that a laundry list of other items that the other shop said was wrong, were perfectly fine. This is why I keep coming back to them, time and again, even for oil changes, because I can trust them to do it right the first time. Thanks!

WEIRD pls don't waste your time or money I never write reviews but this was definitely the worst experience

Upon getting her car back, she realized that one of her pair of sunglasses, worth $500, were missing from her vehicle. the owner claims that his technicians wouldn't know how much they were worth because they are men, even though they are a popular designer brand, which many people would recognize. Police are now involved and this issue will be going to court regarding both the car and the "lost" sunglasses. I've been in the process of drafting this review for weeks now, for the sake of making sure the information I am providing to you is accurate and up to date. The car had to be towed to Land Rover to be worked on because allied made it undriveable after ensuring that they had the ability to work on land rovers. The dealership called us back to inform us that they had messed up all of the wiring to the engine, something they never had permission to do in the first place. The land rover staff was shocked and informed us that there was likely nothing seriously wrong with the car other than the wires that had been ruined by allied. This repair is now going to cost $4000 on top of whatever fees we will have to pay to litigate against allied motorworks, as well as the cost of replacing the stolen sunglasses. If you want to avoid a major headache and basically being robbed in broad daylight, avoid doing business with this company. TL; DR : They will ruin your car and steal from you, causing you to shovel thousands to an actual qualified mechanic. This business should genuinely be shut down.

I've been to this location of Valvoline on many occasions since it is a convenient location for me…read more Normally, the wait time isn't bad and I have had a phenomenal, quick experience. Today, however, I pulled in with only one car ahead of me being serviced. I didn't think it would be a big deal because they had generally been efficient in the past, but this was a long wait. I appreciated that Marc came out to greet me and check on the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure, in addition to scanning my car in to hopefully expedite the process. He was very polite and professional but also told me he'd been working since 9am and it was roughly 5:30pm when I had gotten in line. I felt sorry that he'd had a long day, but so had I but I tried to be patient. Anyway, once it was finally my turn, I came to understand why the car before me had taken so long. Apparently they had two staff members that were fairly new. There was immediate confusion over my transmission because whatever tool they tried to put into it wouldn't fit and finally, after consultation with several staff members, they determined that it was sealed but serviceable. The person in the pit underneath the car said that nothing was leaking... to give me peace of mind. I was told I was missing a transmission cap and I told them the last time anyone had done anything under the hood was the last time I had been there for my last oil change. Another staff member came to explain to me that I could get another cap but that it wasn't urgent. It was suggested that the cap could have simply come off on its own. Honestly, I can't help thinking that it was the result of my last service with them, but no way to prove it. They didn't have a cap to remedy the situation. Next problem was that I needed a new filter that they didn't have in stock. I was told I could pick it up at an auto parts store and they would install it. Then another staff member said they would call me when they got one in stock. At last, when my dirty filter was put back into my car and it was time to pay, one of the new staff members had to wait on someone else for guidance on how to check me out on their computer. Fortunately they were able to scan an online coupon and my credit card was scanned and approved. I felt better about the price with the promo code applied. I was thanked again for my patience (which was honestly growing thin at this point). I had a headache by the time I left. If I hadn't desperately needed an oil change, I would have left rather than endure all of this. Still, I have given 3 stars because the staff members were very nice and apologetic for the long wait. It's not their fault that they were new and needed training/experience - but it was somebody's fault in management. I will still return to this location and give them another chance based on my previous positive experiences.

BUT tried to upsell me on everything and was telling me I needed a 300-400 dollar repair on my car, and another 127 dollar repair. And to humor me he said he would give me the 127 dollar one for 122 dollars. GOODBYE. What got me is that on my receipt he didn't even check the parts of my car he said were broken. He was just pulling these expensive problems out of thin air. I left the parking lot bawling because he also told me that my car MAYBE had a few more good months. MIND YOU, I just got this car. And you're literally not a mechanic just because you work at Valvoline. ALSO, took my car to my mechanic. Not surprised the guy that worked here was so completely wrong. If you wanna leave here thinking your car is gonna blow up if you drive in a few more miles, then go here! Yeah maybe I'm gullible for being worried, but maybe he shouldn't be lying. Never going here again, Lambertville Valvoline has given me PTSD.
