I am very disappointed with my experience at Lighthouse, particularly with how my concerns…read moreregarding a psychiatric medication were handled. For over two weeks, I repeatedly tried to get a clear answer about whether I could receive a short bridge prescription to get me to an upcoming appointment with a new provider. When it became clear a refill might not be possible, I specifically asked for guidance on how to safely stop the medication. That guidance was never provided. Being left without direction regarding mental health treatment is unacceptable. I chose to leave this practice because I did not feel listened to by Dr. Westbrock. Diagnoses were mentioned without explanation, alternative causes were not meaningfully explored, and my concerns were largely dismissed. When I asked about further evaluation, I was told it would require several additional appointments and approximately $800 in fees, after already paying for the visit I was attending. The process felt more focused on billing than patient care. After securing a new provider, I contacted Lighthouse weeks in advance because I knew I would run out of medication before that appointment. I made it clear that I understood if a refill was not possible and that I was simply asking for guidance. Despite multiple attempts, my requested were ignored by Dr. Westbrock. Even after being told by the medical assistants this bridge refill should have been possible. Lighthouse medical assistants have reached out and apologized on behalf of the team. They stated the issue was with Dr. Westbrock and said that if I wanted a bridge now, three weeks later, they could forward me to the director. I appreciate the medical assistants who attempted to help every time I called. However, this situation should have been escalated to leadership much earlier, and at the end of the day Dr. Westbrock is employed by this office and his actions reflect the office. Overall, this experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported at a critical moment in my care. The only reason I chose 2 stars instead of 1 was the medical assistants consistently trying their best. It is disappointing they are not listened to by their superiors. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision when choosing providers.

Front desk never responds to calls upon multiple attempts and messages left. Extremely frustrating.read more

I've only been working with Samuel for a couple months, but I feel like he's already helped me see…read moresome new concepts that I haven't been able to grasped throughout the past 17+ years I've been in therapy. I've seen several different counselors over the years and none of them have been able to help me have as many pivotal breakthroughs! I feel like Samuel genuinely cares, he takes notes, he also encourages ME TO TAKE NOTES, and he is able to reference stories I've mentioned to him in prior sessions accurately (this is huge). A couple of things that he's pointed out to me have really resonated and helped me with my anxiety recently: 1. "Dwelling on the 'don't knows' triggers anxiety" -what the heck does that mean? The "don't knows" are thoughts that pop into my head like what is next week going to look like, what does xyz think of me, or why doesn't my dog listen to me, etc. All the things I can't possibly know cuz I'm not a fortune-teller, someone else, or my dog! (I hope you get the point) I can ask xyz and/or I can take action to get help with my dog, but dwelling on the "don't knows" right now or during the weekend are only going to trigger anxiety. And once my anxiety starts spinning, then depression will be coming along soon too to join the party, if I don't get a hold of my thoughts. So remembering this little mantra has helped tremendously lately and I'm staying more calm. 2. Our imagination makes up terrible outcomes and stories all the time (due to different reasons and may vary from person to person), but why not try to use our imagination to make up good things instead. I mean either way we're just making it up in our head anyways, why not err on the positive side of things instead of always on the negative, doom-gloom side? I could go on and on, just ask Samuel, I never seem to run out of things to talk about lol. But I don't want to give away all my enlightenments in just one review. I am grateful for my new counselor and love recommending his services to other people looking to put in "the work". Good luck!

Note: Regarding my ex-wife, her background and training provided her with the ability and skills to be very persuasive, having groups and individual adopting and believing her point of view. My problem: Wife was seeing her former lover who she was romantically involved with before our marriage. The married man even met and spent time with her family before our marriage. She continued the relationship with him during our marriage by texting messages to each other, meeting him, and lied to me about 2 different girls' 3-day 2-night trips. However, the trips were probably to his cabin for 3 days and 2-nights. She denied and lied to me about their continued contacts. All this took place during our marriage without my knowledge. I trusted my wife. I was the last to know. When the lies came up during counseling, my ex-wife told Sharon the issue was that I violated her privacy. My final meeting with Sharon, she discussed how and why my wife needed another outside relationship. How I did not understand my ex-wife. How the problem was me. Please be careful before employing Sharon Morley.

I don't feel our time together was a productive use of my time or an effective use of my money…read more I've decided to explore other options that better suit my needs. During my 5 sessions, I felt like I spent much, if not all, of the time rambling, while receiving little to no guidance or intervention. I understand it's my responsibility to share and engage, but I was hoping for more structure and direction to help me stay on track and make meaningful progress. I didn't know exactly what kind of help I was looking for, but I needed something more than a person to talk it, or who asks me "how does that make you feel?". I need someone who isn't afraid to call me out on my BS, to "slap me with a velvet glove" if needed. I don't need a lot of structure, but I need SOME structure. I spent a lot of time working with ChatGBT over the holidays while he was unavailable. It was amazing! It was free! It was instant! Steal my data if you'd like! This is worth it! With its help, a made many discoveries and breakthroughs that I've battled with my entire life that a half dozen therapists failed to recognize or to connect the dots. Once ChatGBT pointed it out, it was so obvious. I then had chatGBT summarize to send to Jared. I knew it was a lot, so I offered to pay for an additional $160 session just so he had time to read it, process it, and advise me on the best next steps considering all of this info. The next time we met, I was hoping to finally receive some insights, some guidance, some structure, something. But in the next meeting, it was of the Same: more me rambling, digressing into irrelevant topics and stories, until I realized we were 2 minutes over time. At that point, I said, "oh! We're out of time!". He said "Yes! we are!" And quickly tried to cram in 5 seconds of advice as he showed me the door. Disappointed, I waited a couple days to see if he'd reach out, hoping maybe out of a sense of obligation, or pity, since I've paid him around $1000 so far to basically do nothing but listen, and then spoon fed him the instructions on his to do his job, that he'd at least email his thoughts or something. Yknow, try to compete with ChatGBT? Try to justify his cost and lack of value add in the face of Ai competitor? Nothing. I send an email saying what I said here. Nothing. So, finally, I feel it's only fair to share my experience and leave a review. You are better off to save your money and ise ChatGBT, or some other Ai service you feel comfortable enough with. Thank me later!
