Fun place to test your guns or rent one of there guns if you have another person with you. This way a lone depressed person can not do something stupid with a rental gun. $250/yr membership gets you many benefits but you can also go in as a guest.

I like Gilbert Indoor Range. I've been to several ranges around the DMV, and in my opinion Gilbert is perfect for me. Your first visit to Gilbert, you need to watch the safety training video and take a short quiz afterwards. I've never had to do that with other ranges. I didn't even realize this info I was thought about it only after a Gilbert trainer mentioned it. (More on that later) The staff are willing and helpful whenever you are willing to get past their stoic demeanors and impose a question. My must recent visit was this past Saturday to take the Maryland HQL course. Andrew was the instructor, and despite getting only 5 hours of sleep, he was running through more dry humor jokes than a seasoned comedian. Although I've gone to Gilbert and other ranges many times, I still consider myself a beginner with firearms. Moments in the training where I knew the information presented, I was not bored. Andrew presented the information expertly! He gave real examples and scenarios for taking points, and as the visual learner that's I am, he also had a handgun laser. (A laser that was a neon green glock 19 gun) He used this a lot to show things like grip and draw movements. If I knew absolutely nothing about what was covered, I would have left the course impressed with the content. I had several questions which I expressed inconsistent past trainings. Andrew provided clarification as well as reassurance of "there is no right or wrong way" to do some things. I even called the range later when I was competing my HQL application. Unbeknownst to me, Agree picked up the phone, and he had more jokes. Lol Gilbert Indoor Range is clean, although there needs bathroom needed work. They upgraded from the previously out dated target system, which sent the target down range. You now have the ability to buy a picture or video of your target practice. After my paperwork is approved, I'll be back for additional training and classes.

Gilbert's offers onsite vault storage for your 2A items. You provide the cases...and they take care of the rest.

For anyone looking to work on objective acquisition proficiency / skills development / operator safety or other related activities...look no further than Gilbert Indoor Range. Okay - that was inordinately difficult (trying to write a sentence without the words gun, bullet, or 2A). Folks, if you are consumer of Second Amendment rights, Gilbert's has you covered. More so, Gilbert's offers people like me that live in a place that does not permit firearms a very special service. For $175 per year, you can store a case in their on premise vault. This is a HUGE benefit. I have found some other places that specialize in firearms vaulting and they are much more expensive. They keep late hours, which accommodates practice times for people with non LEO / Active Duty jobs. Their team is always helpful, they make it easy to check items out of the vault, and it lets people with on premise weapon restrictions still exercise their rights. Always be safe. Always be proficient. Always enjoy your freedoms.

Andrew is cool I gained a lot of information from him before I turned 21. I've completed my HQL training there I've also done my Utah CCW training there, and I plan on completing my DC & MD CCW training there. I am also a yearly member here and for the most part I like this range. I won't go into the semantics however I suggest while at this range try not to talk much to the some staff members. Just shoot and leave i would stay out of their way if you are just becoming of age to shoot or just starting. Not sure about their Groupon rates but if you do not own a fire arm take about $100-$150 to have fun maybe less if you don't shoot over 50 rounds. If you are a member and you own a firearm take about $40-$60 for a couple hundred rounds depending on your caliber + $1 targets.

Came in to get some practice time in at the range. Love coming here. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I agree with my fellow Yelpers, Gilbert's rocks. Upon arrival, the staff will greet you with a smile & give you an overview of the place, forms you need to fill out, etc. You will need to watch an instructional video (15-20 minutes) so build in time for that. Also, I'd suggest calling ahead of time to see how busy they are.... you can always try to get a reservation. Spacious, clean indoor facilities. There are probably 20 lanes.. I arrived around 8PM on a Friday night & lucked out... no wait. Note: if you're not using a coupon deal, you have to buy a membership, or you can try the week-long pass. Otherwise, they offer monthly member deals... ask a staffer for more information. I'll be back, this was my 2nd time at a range and I had so much fun here.

I was motivated to attend based on the positive reviews here on Yelp, but my overall experience was so bad that I considered disputing the course charge with my bank. I'm an experienced first responder with many tac trainings under my belt, and this was one of the worst courses I've ever attended. It was just generic and useless; all the "training" info communicated was nothing you couldn't learn in 30 minutes on YouTube. In short, it was a massive waste of time and money.

Tomer took the time addressing all my questions to ensure this training was the right fit for me. Most places would have been happy just to take my money. The course was exactly as described on his web site. There was no bs, no fluff, you hit the ground running, literally. Even though I had some experience with shooting, I still learned a lot. The course was realistic in teaching you skills so you are prepared under stress / under attack, in various situations such as a moving vehicle, and defending yourself against various weapons, just to name a few. Tomer makes you think and see things differently and the scenarios are realistic. I highly recommend Tomer / Israeli Tactical School.

I thought the small class size (I was the only student for my class but Tom, the instructor, said his classes would typically have 3-5 students) was extremely beneficial and in my opinion would set it apart from other classes available. Because I was able, and encouraged, to ask questions throughout the course, it was taught more like a discussion rather than a lecture. This helped to comprehend and remember everything that was taught and easily pass the exam at the end of the class. Some of the questions on the NRA exam are poorly worded and a little confusing, but they were no problem because I knew everything so well as a result of Tom's instruction. After the lecture we went to the range. Since it was just the two of us we rode there together, which allowed the discussion to continue and I was able to get his opinion and recommendation about gun ranges and stores, how to choose a gun, web sites to learn more about local gun laws, and next steps to continue learning and practicing. This is all something I wouldn't have gotten had I taken a larger class with the lecture taught at the range. At the range Tom was very helpful and his knowledge and experience allowed him to quickly point out exactly what I was doing right and what needed to be corrected. Since the lecture portion is done so well, even with the little hands-on instruction we're able to get before going to the range, I was confident handling the loaded gun for the first time. From there, after each set of shooting five rounds, Tom reiterated what I was doing correctly and offered tips on how to correct things that needed improvement. There was plenty of practice at the range, again a result of a small class. As a whole the course was not just very informative but also very fun. I can't wait to get back out and practice the skills I learned from Tom. If additional courses are available in the future I will be coming back to ACS for sure. Thanks to this course, I'm very excited and enthusiastic about my new hobby.

They have a lot of members from all walks of life, from hunters to law enforcement, casual target shooters to dedicated competitors. Despite recent pressures from Maryland legislation, Berwyn's membership remains strong and may even be growing larger as one of the few venues people can use for their hobby or career. The range itself is set in the woods of rural Bowie. Admittedly, it looks more like a Boy Scouts camp than a major high-tech range, but that's part of its charm. They have three "no sky" ranges, meaning there are baffles set to block any stray bullets that do not head down the range. A 50 foot, a 50 yard, and a 100 yard allow people to use whatever they need for their chosen firearms. As an outdoor range, you can expect to deal with weather and climate as well as insect life. I always check the forecast before deciding to head out there. As a private range, this is not accessible to the general public. To gain access you must send an e-mail asking about membership. Within a month, you will know if you are approved to join (I've never known anyone to be turned down). After that, you have access to the range, but must remember to follow all range rules, including proper safety, avoiding damage to the range, and cleaning up after yourself. If you're into firearms, for anything from hunting to marksmanship, and looking for a good range in the Prince George's and Arundel area, then I recommend looking into this place.
