It's always a treat to find a beautiful tasting room serving decent California wines right here in…read morePennsylvania. While it's a bit of a trek for us, it's the perfect halfway point to meet up with friends. My husband and I enjoyed the red wine flight and ended up sharing a bottle of the Shiraz, which was drinkable and good. The food menu is surprisingly extensive--whether you're looking for a full meal or just some tapas to pair with your wine, they've got you covered. We didn't eat this time since we weren't hungry, but everything looked and smelled fantastic. The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable, which added to the great experience. My only complaint is the corkage fee if you choose to enjoy a bottle on-site. This is only the second time I've ever encountered a corkage fee at a tasting room, and we've visited many across some of the world's most renowned wine regions. It's a bit puzzling, especially in a relaxed setting like this. None of the Pennsylvania wineries do this but this tasting room and a tasting room in West Chester do and it's really obnoxious. But the good news is the prices at this tasting room are affordable and they don't charge a credit card fee! That said, we'd definitely come back. Great wine, great atmosphere, and a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

My wife and I stopped in here on a Thursday night for their "pizza and a carafe of wine for $30"…read morespecial, which I believe is every Thursday night (for the quality of pizza and wine, a steal and a half if you ask me). The first pizza and carafe was so good that we stayed for another round! The pizzas were a decent size and had great flavor. Not overly greasy, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Plus the crust was perfectly charred. One pizza may be enough for 2 people, but I'd order a pizza per person to be safe. The wine was great too. They clearly are wine experts and take pride in a sophisticated wine selection. The carafe contains enough for two heavy pours. The restaurant was trendy and had a good vibe to it. There was plenty of seating and we walked in and got seated right away. There appears to be event space available for rent. The service was awesome. Everyone was nice and checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal. I'll definitely be coming back here.

It's a pretty small spot with limited seating. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived for our reservation, so we had to kill some time at the bar. I had the scallop risotto, which was sooo flavorful and a generous portion. My husband ordered the duck frites and said it was one of the best dishes he's had in ages. Will definitely dine here again when we're back in town!

We were offered to have drinks at the bar but it was completely full. We went to the Mexican place next door to have drinks while we waited. It was pretty inside and a very chic/lounge vibe. Once we were seated our server was a sweetheart. I felt for her since an 8 person party was thrown in at 9:15pm on a Friday. She did a great job with our group! I didn't get to know the specials but menu had a lot of good options to choose from. Unfortunately they were out of the app I ordered but we were a late party on a Friday night. I don't know if it was a prep issue but I feel like for a Friday you shouldn't be out of menu items but whatever. I ended up getting the crab cakes and they were fantastic! For the entrees I had the filet with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly but slightly over salted for my taste. Lastly they have a cake cutting fee at this restaurant was approx $6 a person. Which we decided against because this night ended up being much later than expected with the reservation issue at Snuff Mill. Previously I was told $25 cake cutting fee. Also the table was charged for water (still "bottled" water). That is just bizarre. I totally get charging for sparkling or whatever name brand water but seriously. Overall the communication by management that night really let me down and my group felt more like a burden to this restaurant rather than guests.

Our server was great and attentive, the food was really good! We ordered the Caesar salad, calamari, chicken with crab, veal saltimbocca, pasta with shrimp and crab, pasta with meatballs (the person who ordered didn't care for the meatballs but is very particular), baked salmon, and chicken parm dinner. Only issue I would address is that some of the parties food came out at least 5 minutes before the others (about 1/2 the party) which made it awkward. Otherwise, a great experience and all want to return!

I ordered the wild mushroom papperdelle. There was no evidence of wild mushroom in this dish. The papperdelle ate plain. The mushroom "ragu" was sliced button mushrooms that were barely sautéed in a watery/ milky broth (not creamy) as if they did not cook the water out of the mushrooms. The Parmesan was added on top at the table to both dishes. Was there a hint of truffle? Maybe in some truffle oil-maybe. The dish was grossly underseasoned. Not a dish I would reorder. I also ordered the octopus appetizer salad. The octopus was seasoned with harissa (not quite Italian but ok). Unfortunately it was slightly overcooked leaving it chewy. The greens were well-dressed arugula. Again not a dish I would reorder. Our waiter was doing double duty in the kitchen while the bus girl was bussing the table so fast she took our flatware before we could pack up our leftovers while tossing the dessert menus on the table. Just did not get a welcoming vibe and would not return.

Very admirable and apparently they do this often to support other causes, as well. We were happy to dine at a restaurant that cares about the local community. That's what got me (& my wife) in the door. Now, for the brass tacks: Atmosphere: Very nice looking place. Clean. Lively. Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2
