Oh man! Oh man! My first coming here was this past Saturday night. I was so impressed and happy with my choice of coming here. This place was definitely on the list and it finally happened. we arrived around 1030, the line was already long and there were a lot of people inside, which is a great sign. If you want to get in free please make sure to sign onto the guest list at least 1 day before or else you will not be on here. I believe if you are on the guest list and you get there past the time you pay a low fee (e.g.,$5) if not the cover charge that day was $10. Men you will get patted down, women your purses will get checked of course just like any other club. Once going in, it's pretty awesome how they have a area where you can pay $2 and leave your sweaters or purses, which Makes it easier for you to just focus on dancing. There are two floors. The main floor you will bear a lot of merengue, reggaeton, cumbias. All fantastic. Bottom floor, will have bachata, rancheras, hip hop cumbias etc. Pretty much everything I rated this place 4 stars because they closed down the bottom floor due to an issue with one of the poles coming down and they were playing good music before that. Where do I start with how TERRIBLE this place is?! Well, I'll start off by saying that my family is South American & I was excited to see a South American club in LA. I went on their website & RSVP'd to make sure my friend & I would only have to pay $5 to get in. Saturday night we got to Glendale & found street parking. At around 10:45-10:50 we were in line. The line was pretty short & seemed to be moving. At this point, my friend checks in on Yelp & discovers a Yelp deal for 1 free admission. We make it to the front of the line by 11 & are told to go to the window to pay & that the list is closed. WTF! It was literally 11 as we reached the window to pay & the woman tells us it's $10 each. I've NEVER seen a place to that, especially not to 2 females! When we showed her the Yelp deal on our phone she shrugged & gave us a look like she didn't know what that was. At this point we were mad, but we had gotten dressed up & came out to Glendale, so against our better judgement we paid $20 (it still hurts me today to think I paid this) and went in. The venue itself is nice, except for the fact that the dance floor is so sticky you can't even dance on it! At first in the main room they were playing a mix of cumbias & reggaeton. After a while of repetitive cumbias we decided to go to the bathroom. As I was waiting in line, a security guy flashes his light on my shoes (they were nice, dressy flat sandals) & asks me where the shoes I came in with are. I just pointed down at my shoes & said "I came in with these." He then replies "I'm surprised they let you in with those, they shouldn't have." Are you kidding me?! 1. I've been to way better establishments in the same shoes & have never been questioned, and 2. Considering the crowd was predominantly male, it pissed me off that he had the audacity to question my footwear. On to the bathrooms, there were 2 stalls working & one was completely flooded. I refused to go in & waited for the other one to become vacant. The other girls also refused to go in, forcing the lady working in the restroom to clean it up. Disgusting! After about half-hour, we discovered that there is a second level underground & decided to check it out. As we walked down the stairs we heard salsa & got excited, finally we would be able to dance... Wrong! The flooring was all carpet & it was so hot & crowded down there it was uncomfortable. We tried to make the best out of the situation & stayed for a little while until the heat & stuffiness was just unbearable. When we went back upstairs they had switched the music to dance pop/Top 40, definitely not what I wanted to hear there! We stayed another 10 minutes hoping they would change the music, but after about 2 Pitbull songs we just couldn't take it anymore & left. All in all, we were in there for about an hour. What a waste of a night! Based on my negative experience from beginning to end, I would NEVER come back & will tell everyone I know to avoid this place! read more

the check in for VIP ticket holders is ridiculous!! You have to wait two hours in line only to be pulled to another line and then be asked for IDs and not even be led to our designated area. The VIP section is a tiny kidney shaped area with no tables or adequate seats for those who purchased VIP tickets. If I could I would leave 0 stars! Bad service and security very rude. It was 1:40 am and my friend was drinking a Red Bull in a cup with ice, which the bartender had severed him. One of the security guard thought it was a beer and punched my friend on the chest. The security guard refused to smell the drink. My friend was trying to explain that it was not an alcoholic drink and no one listened to him. We tried to report this to the manager and the the manager "Joe" refused to help us out. Saturday was my first time going to La Diosa / Giggles night club. Music was really good for dancing; seemed like they saved the best for last though. Right before closing was when the good salsa dancing songs came on. There was plenty of room on the main dance floor. The club is two levels. I checked out the bottom floor and felt a bit claustrophobic! Very dark. The main floor however was comfortable. Not overly hot even with everyone dancing up a storm. Cover was only $5 a person since we signed up for a vip list. Line to get in moved quickly. Guys get hand checked for weapons which made me feel safe. I wish they enforced a stricter dress code. There are some people who actually put time and effort into their wardrobes while others look like they were going to the mall! I think of Latin Dance Clubs as a fancy nice place to go on a weekend night, so I expect well dressed patrons! The alcohol prices are very steep. The beer selection was also very limited. $7 for a Modelo is a rip off!!!! Especially when I have to drink it out of a plastic cup! $3 for a small bottle of water- also a rip off. The absolute worst was I think a shot of Jameson cost me $13. When I paid that bill, I almost choked!!! All in all, I recommend La Diosa for dancing but do NOT come thirsty!!!! Wish I could give this place 0 stars... Last night was my first time giving this place a chance. They seem to have great South American groups all the time so I wanted to give it a shot. Los Adolescentes were performing and that got my mom and aunt hyped up so we decided to go. Tried to buy our tickets online ($25) around 8:30pm and there were none anymore so we decided to get ready and buy it there. Showed up around 10:20 waited in line to go in for about 20 minutes, got to the front window to purchase our tickets and they had raised the price to $40!!!!!!! They had raised the price $15 more!!! Is not like they didn't have any tickets left , it's just that they decided to not sell them online anymore to make more profit. We found that ridiculous so we left! ... Why would someone pay that much money for 2-3 hours at a club knowing that the band will most likely only perform for like 30 mins or even 1 hour. Last night was not a cool experience for us besides that it was raining hard. My sister and I took coverage in the front of the club, so call security comes all tough, and demands us to go in line which there were like five people in front of us. The reason we did that is because girls don't like to get their make up and hair wet , it sucks!!. We get in line and were getting wet. Such a disgusting place now! Came here for a concert, and security obviously couldn't control the crowd with MULTIPLE fights throughout the night. How embarrassing that the band came all the way from Argentina, and couldn't even finish their set because people were able to get on stage and harass them. Found this place as we were walking back from dinner. Decided to step in. Cover charge was $10 a piece. Music was okay. Way too crowded to dance on the dance floor. My husband was told that his Affliction shirt was not good enough for this place. I was stared up and down. Apparently at this "classy" establishment, our clothes were not good enough. One of the best Spanish nightclubs in LA to actually dance to. I've been here a lot of times always on a Saturday. $10 all night after 11 (which is a plus compared to others being $20). Place is always filled which I like compared to it being empty. There's a lot of older people (late 30's?) I don't care because I come to dance here with my boyfriend and friends (I'm 23). Parking is always available in the parking garage which is right behind the club. I prefer to park here because it's more secure and there's security guards. We normally arrive at 11 and stay to 2:30 and end up paying $3 for parking, max $5. The first floor plays cumbia and reggaeton second underground floor plays more salsa and merengue.
