Walking in wanting an Apple, I ended up taking a whopping tera-byte of an HP out with me. A choice justified at every stage by the smart tech Gigabyte Boys. They fed me knowledge and even some of there amazing flat bread and curry! The kind of patience and finish to their service is exemplified in the way they broke down and explained the NVIDIA graphics cards vs Radeon; the SSD advantages; the fault with the new (very sexy) ACER of which I declined to purchase due to a faulty NVIDIA graphics card problem with all series/makes; the techy motherboard information passed on is endless.
The turn around for requesting the full specs of the laptop, to receiving a fully checked piece was exactly 7 days, helpfully including Sunday as a working day. Despite the January 2013 snow, I received all and more by way of a promise to further support services from Gigabyte, and, an honest smile, albeit through shivering times (no flatbread to keep us warm, this time on collection).
A final word would be the difference in personalised service from the likes of PC World and even John Lewis, Gigabyte is independent and will 8/10 times already know the insider information on faulty NEW merchandise (as was the case with the ACER). Some of the online shops such as pixmania.co.uk are in fact subsidiaries or part owned by PC World/Curries and therefore still don't necessarily provide you with the best prices; if anything, they don't even sell some of the better/best versions of laptops specifically, as was the case with my Windows 8, i7, 1TB, 220SSD, HP (Hewlett-Packard) ENVY DV6 7200ea (I highly recommend £1200).
Go in with a pen and paper and the Gigabyte Boys will know you want their experienced brains first and foremost, their brawny merchandise shall follow suit!
