They have a lot of Rilakkuma plushies that I really wanted to get including this ridiculously large human sized one!

However, this particular branch took it to another level. From the moment I walked in, an employee appeared to leave the area behind the register and follow me throughout the entire store until I left. On another occasion, I came in with a friend, and the employee clearly saw us enter together. I was helping my friend browse and even picking up products to show her, yet the employee continued to watch me closely. At one point, I waited outside while my friend continued shopping, and the employee still stared at me as I waited. The experience made me feel singled out and unwelcome, and after that, I've decided not to shop there anymore. I can't help but wonder how many other Black customers have had similar experiences but simply haven't had the time or energy to speak up about them publicly. The store has some cute things, but unfortunately, I won't be supporting the business. If you are concerned about theft, there are more appropriate ways to handle it--such as relying on mall security and having proper loss-prevention procedures--rather than having employees follow customers around the store. It's also concerning because situations like this can easily escalate. Employees should be trained to handle suspected shoplifting professionally and safely rather than taking matters into their own hands. Good customer service should make people feel welcome, not watched or profiled. I hope management takes these experiences seriously and provides better training so that all customers are treated with the same level of respect (reposted on Google for more awareness of their racial profiling)

I needed some houseplants for my husband's birthday scavenger hunt and I made the purchase online. It was my own mistake that I didn't check when the plants are being shipped. I reached out to them via Instagram and almost instantly gotten reply. They were very accommodating and offered to send the plants to me via Uber. All 3 plants purchased were delivered promptly and in great shape. Like OMG they are so so so cute and adorable, I am obsessed. Definitely would love to visit in person soon and highly recommend anyone who needed some houseplants to check them out.

Learned this store has been open for 5 years and I'm just so impressed that a store like this exists on Ocean Ave. I grew up nearby and they didn't have these kind of stores 20 years ago (oof I dated myself!). I love her selection and all the cute accessories. I had to hold back from buying more than one plant- Lord knows I collected plenty of plants in my day, so I definitely need to refine my collection, instead of collecting. Came out with a white princess philodendron and can't wait to put her in a pretty pot!

The ultimate spot to grab a gift for any occasion and also a lovely place to just browse!…read more I was in the area getting last minute groceries and decided to drop by since it's been awhile since I've been to a Therapy store. This is my second time here and the entire area used to be open to browse but looks like half the store is sectioned off. Nonetheless, there were still a variety of knickknacks and whimsical pieces, such as adorable stationary, cookbooks, funny pet items, stickers, a small selection of clothes, etc, at relatively reasonable prices. I've been to a couple of Therapy stores but this location definitely stands out: there are a lot more diverse options here. As always, I love the local custom items, like this jewelry dish I found that says "someone in San Bruno loves you". Extremely friendly and welcoming service. While I didn't purchase anything this time, I did notice that there were so many delightful baby gift options so I'll definitely be back to get something for a friend who is expecting in a couple months!

Jaya (sorry I might be getting your name wildly incorrect) was super helpful in guiding us through what is available in the store and sharing stories about the artists who've created many of the different items. Everything feels curated by the best tastemakers so all you need to do is walk in and see what you or someone you'd like to get something special for would like. It's obvious many of the books are also carefully and thoughtfully chosen and Jaya confirmed the owners are very intentional about what they include on the store shelves. I ended up buying 4 items of clothes and a wireless little table mushroom lamp. I was tempted by everything else including jewelry and a felt rainbow home decor thing. Money can't buy happiness and it can't replace my dog but these things have brought me some joy and therapy. We live in San Francisco so we're excited for the Mission location in SF as well after experiencing this amazing San Bruno store first!
