Repaired my attic fan last year I don't believe it ever worked. Job was done in September so we didn't have a need for the fan to work. I'm a senior citizen so its not easy for me to get in the attic. I called to see if I had any kind of warranty. I was told no I should have called last year. We contacted Gibson Electrical to get an estimate on a generator installation. We were charged $250 for them to come out to give the estimate, with the understanding the cost would be deducted from the final bill if we hired them. The estimate was a ridiculous $3,800 just for the labor, so we contacted another electrician for an estimate. Their estimate was half that price and we were not charged a fee for the estimate. We paid the $250 to Gibson. Lesson learned. Don't pay for an estimate. It is not normal or professional. read more

Great service. Two professionals showed up with a great attitude, ready to get to work. Completed the job in no time. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I had schedule the appointment a few weeks prior and asked specifically for a confirmation email because I knew I would forget. I never got the email so I actually double booked the work and had another electrician schedule to come by later that day. I blame myself also but with my schedule and what I was doin when I set the appointment I knew I couldn't write it down nor would I remember and I wish I had gotten that email. Only business I asked for a confirmation email not to send me one. This company is a must use though and the two workers were kind and patient. Any electrical work I need done I will return to Gibson. read more

Showed up for an 8:00 a.m. appointment at 8:00 a.m. sharp! I needed them to diagnose and repair an outdoor floodlight that had inexplicably stopped working. They were able to identify the problem and fix it FAST. Nice and courteous workers to boot. I should also mention the person who took my appointment on the phone was incredibly nice and accommodating as well. I will definitely use them again when I have need for electrical work. read more

Had appt, in AM and I admit i was running 15-30 minutes late getting home from sons dr appt. However; they said they could come after lunch time which was fine as I would be home all afternoon. No one called so at 3:30pm called the contractor. He said call the office to re-schedule? WTH. Call the office, no appt avail for another week. NOw mind you I have two tv's down and wires in basement all over the place. Asked why they told me they could come out after lunch and they said they had 3 emergencies. Prob bigger jobs I guess. I've been using Gibson for some time now. I've found they are very reliable and reasonably priced. I get Companies all the time calling to try and get my business, but I'm not interested. Why change when you know what you have and are very satisfied. For you business or residential Gibson is the way to go. read more

Called and spoke with Harry the owner who told me over the phone that the job was simple and would not take more than 1 hour so it would be cheaper by time and materials. The job was to put a box on an open splice in the attic and correct 2 double tapped neutral in the electrical panel. $125 /hr + $49service fee, I said so $175 then and he said yes that's correct. I told them to go ahead and do the job. When I got the bill it was for 2hrs + Fee + Tax so it was $319.93 and they left a mess on the floor. I have pictures of before and after and there were no surprises or problems. I was not home when they did the repair but I think the reason it took 2 men 1.15 hours (they billed me for 2) was because they started at 2:40 on Friday and wanted to bill out the full day. Called and spoke to the owner who eventually agreed to a 1/2 hour credit. I was a contractor for 10 years and I always tried to treat people with respect in hopes they would treat me fairly. Overall I feel ripped off - this is why people don't trust contractors. read more
