After requesting a manager, I received the same scripted response, with no flexibility or attempt to resolve the issue. For context: I have been a loyal member for almost five years, bringing my son in twice a month as well. I intended to extend my membership for a year, not be forced into a six-month auto-renewal without notification. Their response was essentially: "We'll continue to charge your card or you'll have a balance." Um...no...American Express already blocked the charge due to lack of authorization. This entire experience from lack of notice to unhelpful staff demonstrates poor management and zero effort in customer retention. It's disappointing to see a long-time member treated this way. Goodbye, Boardroom. Clearly, customer service and loyalty are not a priority here.
