Always a pleasure to see Henry to get a haircut and very personable. Old school looking barber shop but don't let it fool you. $20 for adults, a few bucks less for the youngins; I think it's $15. CASH ONLY, no credit cards, no website and it's by appointment only so plan accordingly and call the number listed. Gotta respect the low key and old school vibe Henry provides in this digitized world. If you can't respect that, go elsewhere cause Henry is doing just fine. read more

Henry is a great barber who takes appointments for haircuts to make getting a haircut fit your active schedule. Henry's shop is closed Sunday and Monday but is open Tuesday-Saturday. Henry is very personable and has been in business at his current location for many years. He and his staff have cut and styled hair for many family members from their first birthday through adulthood and in many cases their children. I was a walking, it was a lady and Henry. The lady was the one that cut my hair. I asked for a bald fade and was given the worst haircut I've ever got in my life. Not only did the lady not know what she was doing, but did not have the proper equipment to do it with and ended up destroying my hair while Henry was sitting there assisting her on how to do a bald fade. Hair clippers cut me on both sides of my neck and made me look like I was in a fight with a cat. She rushed through it because she had clients sitting there and when I told her this is not what I asked for and that she did it wrong, she then went over it briefly to try and fix what I thought was unfixable. I didn't have it in me to tell her that she was horrible at her job, I paid and instantly called the closest barber shop which was just down the street and they fixed my hair and did me proper, and WB has a new client. I highly recommend avoiding this place unless you're a senior citizen and don't care about how your hair looks. read more

I don't know what is wrong with this place. I GUESS THEY DON'T WANT NEW CUSTOMERS!!!! I have visited there three times - once each month in a row and have been ignored. Once I was asked to leave because they were too busy on a Saturday - after waiting 1 hour. Today - I was the only one waiting. There were two barbers and the old man who was NOT busy decided sweeping the entire store - not his section, the entire store - was more important than my business. Then he disappeared into the back. He has done this to me before.. Take my word, we do not know each other, so it can't be personal. Maybe its because I'm black. I left again, went to Eddie's on 45 and Sawdust. It was packed, but they have 8 hard working barbers who love their jobs and I was in and out in 30 minutes. I am never wasting another 30 minuets, hour or even two minutes time at Henry's again, even though they are located five minutes from my house. I refuse to even drive by their store. read more

We absolutely love Henry's. I found him through a recommendation on Nextdoor and we're very pleased with his services. Prior to going to Henry, we were paying $18 (not including a tip) to get haircuts for my boys (ages 3 and 5)! Outrageous!! Thankfully, Henry's prices are reasonable ($11 for kids, $15 for adults). He cuts my hair along with the boys and he does a better job than the other barbers we've been to. I need to learn how to cut my boys' hair but in the meantime, we'll keep going to Henry's! read more

I went to get a haircut for a military board. When I asked for skin fade, he said ok. When he got halfway through the haircut I asked him to use a razor under the fade, which is what "skin" means. He then told me they can't go any lower than what appears to be a 1. The place is called a barber shop. According to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation the difference between a barber and a cosmetologist is the ability to use razors. If your employees can't do that, then your establishment is not a barber shop. Then when the haircut was completed I had to remind the barber what a fade is. Then he "corrected". This haircut looks sloppy and unprofessional, so now I will have to either get another one, or shave my head completely before my board. $15 well spent... read more

I tend to let my hair grow long.... so it's been several weeks since I got it cut... but Henry did such a great job, it's looked good the entire time. Oh... and by the time I called for an appointment on Saturday, there were no openings until 9:15 Saturday evening... but the shop was still open, and Henry was still hard at it.
