The salad dressings come in little plastic cases already made up like bought. The wings are great BUT I hate that they do not give the same amount of drummys as wings. I don't like the wing tips and I always get more of them and less drummies. They say that's the way they come but I beg to differ. Casa Gallardo only served drummies and they were good. Peel gives you 5 and 5. And they are much meatier than Gias. I don't like sweet pizza sauce either. read more

First time visit with friends for lunch. Granted, the place was somewhat empty, not surprising since a new pizza joint had it's grand opening just across the street. Had heard good things if Gia's and was not disappointed. Our server was fantastic, prompt and courteous and helpful with recommendations. We took her suggestion and went with the BLT pizza on a pan crust. We devoured it. Don't think I would have picked it off the menu, glad we asked for a recommendation. The side salads are true salads with all the fixings; onions, cheese, mushrooms, croutons and more... The works. The wings looked really good, I'm going to have to going to have to go back to try them. Definitely beats the chain restaurant routine. Definitely give them a try. read more

If you like thin crust and sweet sauces, this pizza is for you. The broccoli cheese soup is served with a hunk of French bread and is a delightful appetizer. The service is polite and prompt and the atmosphere relaxing. We ordered a medium deluxe pizza at about 12:30pm only to be told that they were out of mushrooms and black olives. Seriously? Out of key pizza ingredients by 12:30pm on a random Monday? Hmmm... At least they allowed us to substitute with fresh diced tomatoes and roasted red peppers, and it turned out to be a real treat, so we got over it. :) read more

I love the salads, the pizza, the toasted rav's, the chicken wings, & the wine. Amen, brother, let's have some more!! The service during off-peak hours is excellent. The regular staff is VERY attentive. I recommend you avoid eating there when they are busy, though, because although the regular staff may be working, there seems to be a crowd of hormonal adolescents there, I imagine to "assist" during said busy hours, but even with the extra "help," it still takes an average of about 50 minutes for someone to finally get tired of you staring at them, or waving at them, before they finally break down & stop gossiping/flirting with each other to come take your order. THEN, it averages about another 45ish minutes before you get your drinks, & *maybe* your appetizer. OR you might get them about 15 minutes later (for about an hour total wait time), only to have the pizza/main course placed in front of you 10 minutes after that, essentially rushing you through your salad or suffer a cold pizza/main course. You're extremely unlikely to get a drink refill, & if you do, it'll probably be the wrong beverage. Very uncoordinated, very undisciplined, & very uninterested in the customers. But let me reiterate: OFF-PEAK HOURS I'VE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE! VERY EXCELLENT SERVICE! AVOID THEM WHEN THEY'RE BUSY! LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

I usually order a grilled chicken salad at work on the weekends. Ordered at least a dozen times with no problem. The salad itself has fresh ingredients and I never had a bad one. Also tried the toasted ravioli. It's ok, but the sauce is very good. I'm partial to sweet sauces. The problem here is customer service. Went to order again and all of the sudden there's a $15 minimum order for delivery. The girl on the phone says it's always been that way. Guess nobody told the delivery drivers all the others times. If you're going to have a policy you'd better be consistent. Now I'm stuck at work on a 12 hour shift with nothing to eat and Gia's lost a customer. read more

Gia's pizza quality has dropped. We went there to try them out again and it was worse than the last time we'd eaten there; thought hey, last time was an off night, right?! So that was our last time. We try to support local businesses, but when they are overpriced and serving food fresh from the freezer, i.e. Wings and other appetizers!! If I want freezer food, I'll cook from my freezer at home(not that I have frozen wings or anything like that). Anyways they aren't worth the money spent and most of the people are rude and enjoyed their cell phones too much while people waited and waited and waited for drink refills. Needless to say, our server didn't get a tip. She wasn't worth the usual 20% we leave. So yeah, it's not worth it! Don't even bother! Go and try Peel Pizza in town a block over instead! Food is good. Love their salads and toasted ravioli! My mom and I love coming here for lunch, makes for a great girls afternoon out. Their pizzas are delicious! There's never a huge crowd when I come in, so seating isn't a big deal. However, service is questionable. They have one waitress who is always working and is never friendly and it's kind of making us look for a new lunch spot. read more

Great pies here and their chef salad is the best ever. We always get the chicken pesto pizza and it really is one of the better pies on that side of the river. Their red sauce is a little too sweet for us but ingredient wise everything is really fresh there. They have some good beers on tap and the only issue we have with the place is the size. It's a little small and if you're getting a pie to go the "bar" area is pretty small and if anyone else is waiting you'll have to stand. read more

I travel to the area for work and asked the hotel clerk if there were any restraints that delivered. I was given a slip with restraint named and was told Gia's was very popular and they have good food. I go to my room google Gia's, check out the menu, and decide to give them a try. I ordered the ravioli bite things and a French dip sandwich. I was told the good would've delivered in about 35 minutes. About 65 minutes later, the food is finally delivered. I met the driver in the lobby and got the food. Get back to my room anticipating the French dip sandwich and it is lukewarm and there was no au ju sauce to dip the sandwich in. I then checked the ravioli thingies and they are not only lukewarm, but half are burned on the bottom. I called Gia's and explained what happened and then was handed over to the manager I repeated what happened and the manager offered to remake it he good. By this time it was almost 8:00 pm and I did not want to wait on food again as I was exhausted from my day at work. Told the manager I wanted to let know what happened. Now, I am in my hotel room reheating food, picking apart the French dip, and eating what I burned ravioli thingies I have. Next time, I am not ordering Gia's ever again when I am back in the area for work. read more

We had dinner at Gia's last night and were somewhat underwhelmed. The service was ok and the food was ok but I will not rush back any time soon. The pizza has good potential but the sauce is so sweet that it overwhelms the rest of the ingredients. Cut the sugar. The wings were ok but just ok. They did not have sauce, just a rub. I Love Gia's pizza and will officially say that I am addicted! The sweet red sauce that is on their pizza, the huge salad with the pepperoni, bacon, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and croutons, and the stuffed bread breadsticks are my faves. I actually have replicated the salad and sauce at home and am going to make the bread sticks some day. I just can't afford to eat there every week like I would like to! Gia's is good at any time, but I love lunch in the early summer or late fall so I can sit outside and enjoy the weather and their lunch specials. It's also a good place to watch games since they have lots of TV's. Not really good for groups of more than 6 or 8 due to the size. For those of you who ate here when it was Papa Vito's, don't worry the menu hasn't changed. Also, for those of you who've tried Papa Vito's in Belleville since they opened, stick with Gia's Pizza. Easier to get to as far as parking and the one-way streets in Belleville, Gia's puts enough sauce on the pizza whereas Papa Vito's Belleville skimped on it, Gia's smells nicer and it's easier to get into the building carrying a baby at Gia's. (Guess I need to review Papa Vito's in Belleville next) The only reasons I am giving them four stars and not five is because I can only rate the pizza, bread sticks and salad since that's all I ever get there. read more

I live about an hour away and just happen to see this place driving by while working and it caught my attention because my daughters name is Gia...I took my family there the following day!! Gia's just opened off of Telegraph in St. Louis and it was the worst pizza I've ever had! We had the Double Decker Pepperoni Pizza and the sauce was so sweet that I couldn't even taste the pepperoni. Fantastic place! They recently opened a patio so you can sit out there in the summer, or sit on the enclosed patio year round. My hubby and I prefer to go here on Sundays to watch football over a sports bar. Their house dressing is amazing and everything is so fresh. Not a very big place though; it can get crowded.
