The owner of the company is extremely unprofessional and rude. If you want to be ripped off then you can go with this company. Actually had to involve the police because he was requesting payment before the job was done unfortunately that's not how things work. The deposit was paid, and we would pay the remainder after the movers finished. To no fault of their own, the owner told the movers to closed to truck door and drive off with our stuff at which point the sheriffs department was called. The deputy demanded they unpack our stuff because at this point it was considered stealing our property. The owner was rude and yelling at the officer through the phone and then continued to harass my family over the phone calling us more than TWENTY times. Come to find out from the officer, this company DOESN'T HAVE A BUSINESS LICENSE. We have since opened a claimed with the Better Business Bureau and reported fraud on our accounts. The movers arrived on time. I had some packing to do upstairs and I figured while they were moving the downstairs I could finish that. Aaron went to go get a cuppa coffee and came back and informed me that they weren't going to move me that day and to change it to another day. That didn't fly and I said thank you for communicating with me this is my only day off. He seem to have an attitude after that and was not careful with my furniture. I have a big scratch on a dresser, none of my furniture was wrapped. They put things in wrong places I had bathroom boxes in the kitchen and vice versa. I moved two doors down and all my stuff was piled up like a jenga mess. Aaron said they are insured to cover the scratch & that someone would contact me. No one did. Do not make same mistake we did! A friend recommended this company so we went with them. I get two "movers" Jacob and Diana but the entire time, to me, it seems that Jacob is training Diana. He is explaining everything they are doing ...the why behind the what, which is great when I am not paying by the hour. Paid for 3 hours and every additional hour was extra. Well it took 3+ hours to just load our stuff with what I saw as "training". Over $800 later... I feel I paid for training of a newer employee who waiting for direction from Jacob before moving items. This moving team loaded my refrigerator as one of this first items, which means it was last to be off loaded, causing us to have to throw out a lot of food. Left scuffs and marks up my stair walls, messed up the wall where my refrigerator goes (taking out a piece of drywall/texture, leaving metal exposed and left a deep gouge on the wall), left scuffs and scratches on the my refrigerator door and stripped the screw on handle to my freezer so now I have to buy new $130 handle because screw is so stripped that we cannot get it out to replace it with new screws WE HAD to purchase. I contacted Jacob about these issues and at first he didn't take responsibility for any of it, blaming my husband for the drywall and gouge by my refrigerator. Took responsibility for the scuffs on the wall after I sent pics. So he knew damage they caused but didn't say anything while here. No apology. Nothing, until he was called out on it. After sending pics, he said he could fix wall but at that point, we preferred to not have to deal with these people anymore. Do not spend the money with this company. Reliable - They gave me a timeframe of 10am-12pm. They showed up about 12:10pm. They did call at 12:00pm and said that they were running a little late. Careful - They didn't damage any furniture, but contents of some of our fragile boxes did get damaged. I think they were getting tired toward the end of an 8 and a half our move. They seemed to have underestimated the amount of stuff I had. When they first checked out our house, they said that they would be able to fit everything into the 24' truck. After about 5 hours of loading, they told me the truck was full. I had to make two trips with a U-Haul pickup to finish the move. Not really their fault that their 24 ft truck couldn't fit everything, but kind of a disappointment after having told me that everything would fit. They were very courteous. I was happy to see two dudes whose first language is English. Anyways, still 5 stars because they were better than all previous moving companies, including Allied and some local ones, just because their positive attitudes. read more

I hired this company to help my 80 year old client and myself pack and move all within the same city. Upon arrival the movers were not left with good instruction's and informed me that packing and moving everything in one day would be impossible and the office should have hired a team of four not two men. I called the office and was meet by the rudest and most unprofessional business owner I ever meet. He proceeded to tell me I ordered the wrong crew and that my client was a hoarder and that's why the job would take extra time. We exchanged words and I suggested as the moving company he ask more questions to guide the client to having the proper services as not to drag on a move any longer than needed. After I informed the owner we would be cancelling his shady service and requesting our deposit back he called me a thief and kept calling me over and over until I blocked his number. He is a mental case and would never recommend this company to anyone ever!! read more

I recently moved and called several moving companies. I normally don't take the time to write these things but I just had one of those experiences where you feel like you have to tell others of a great company. It was a short notice move and I have a lot of heavy and big house furniture in a two story home. Marble tables, table top weighs about 320 lbs, huge solid wood bed frames (headboard huge and about 280 lbs) and glass fragile 7' tall entertainment centers. Everything about this stuff and where it was coming from to where it was going was depressing. Garrett sent two of his people that I had read about in another review, Sean and Anthony and they were excellent. No damage, total hustling, very careful. The move ended up taking 9 hours and I can't imagine how we could have made it happen any quicker. I actually had to ask Anthony to not jog between trips from the truck as I felt guilty how hard they were working. And then at the end of the move we realized that I had a hand truck that was mine but no room for it and Sean offered to drop the hand truck off on their way home, off the clock. I know they were just as tired as I was so it was a very nice gesture. It's not that often you find that kind of work ethic these days. Very organized, on time, hustled and great rates. After my father passed away, we needed to move all of his belongings out of an assisted living facility. I called 3 companies before I called G M (none of which promptly returned my call). I immediately reached the owner, Garett, who said he could help us the following day. This morning, two young men from G M Moving (Anthony and Sean) arrived within several minutes of the scheduled time. They were very personable, were open to input and were extremely careful with all of our family belongings. They wrapped our items, organized them for loading the truck, displayed sensitivity and kindness and had a great work ethic. Both Sean and Anthony worked tirelessly without a break. I would highly recommend this company. Rates were $60/hr (minimum of 3 hours) plus a $25 fuel charge. Well worth every penny. You won't be sorry to hire these guys. read more

This was our 2nd move with Giant Monkey Movers, and they did another fantastic job. Not only are they great movers, but great spacial planners-- which is really the key to making a move go well. They are experts at packing a Uhaul truck in the most efficient and safe way (we have never had a single item broken or even scratched with Giant Monkey!). They are extremely hard-working and all around nice guys. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to anyone looking to make their move go as smoothly as possible! read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked the company. I reserved this company weeks before my move and I didn't get a full break down of the price until two days after I'd moved in. This company charged my credit card before I had even seen the bill and after I told them over voicemail not to run my card until I saw a breakdown of the bill. The two man crew was late meeting me at uhaul and was quite rude when they originally spoke to me over the phone. They completely dismantled my bed and lost the parts. The two man crew spent a good bit of my paid time smoking verses working. The office manager caylen is very unprofessional. It took 4-6 phone calls for him to finally respond regarding the actual bill for services rendered. This was quite a learning experience. I'll never use this company again and I wouldn't suggest anyone else did either. read more

Service was great in and out they did a good job clean and respectful they were more than helpful and actually tried to help when we accidentally tipped over the trash can which was very nice but we told them we could take care of it.
