Today, the staff looked tired, shelves needed restocked, and the store was pretty empty but staff will willing to help and were smiling. I was in the area and decided too go to this Giant Eagle this time. It is one of the bigger supermarkets int he area. They had most of what I needed and was in and out pretty quickly. The prices are ok and the customer service is fast and friendly. If there is crowded there could be a wait at the registers. I would go back to this Giant Eagle again. read more

Pandemic grocery shopping is an ordeal most places. We started doing curbside Giant Eagle a month ago and it has been a real life saver. We have tried a few Giant Eagles and McIntyre has, by far, been the best. They are there when you pull up and you don't have to wait long. They look at what you ordered and discuss items that they had to substitute to make sure it's okay. They are friendly and efficient and they put the bags into the back of your car without close interaction. We are able to get most items we order at this location and our orders have been correct with the exception of our first order that included two GINORMOUS BAGS of Totino's Pizza Rolls and a big tub of fancy ice cream that were not on our list. We laughed thinking about the poor Mom that had ordered those pizza rolls for her teenagers and the ice cream as her quiet reward for putting up with them. Hope those kids weren't too upset without their teen comfort food. Try their curbside pickup! It's a good experience. read more

I know GE gets a bad rap, but they've been my biggest fan since the pandemic started. Dealing with food allergies we prefer to shop for ourselves, and were very hesitant to try the Curbside Express. We've ordered here a couple times over the last few months and the process just keeps getting better. The employees are polite and genuinely want to help. When I need to pop in myself for groceries the store is bright, and stocked where possible. I feel safe shopping here. read more

I have visited this Giant Eagle a few times so far. This grocery store is not as large or nice-looking as most other locations, but it sells most of the products that I need. Today I did my regular grocery shopping. Organic fruits and vegetables were right near the entrance. A decent variety of canned and boxed goods, meats, fishes, dairy, baked goods, etcetera were throughout the store. The prices were typical. The deli worker and cashier said hello and thanks. The store was busy for the Christmas weekend, but parking outside was adequate, and only one person was ahead of me in the checkout line. read more

Natalia does a BEAUTIFUL job in the bakery. I'm so sad I found out about her so late and she's moving out of state on Friday. When I tell you they are BEYOND gorgeous!This woman needs her own bakery! My Garden cupcake cake only cost $12 for 14 cupcakes, that's less than $1 a piece these could easily sell for $5 a piece minimum in a bake shop. If anyone knows her social media please message me! I witnessed an young girl who was obviously the front end worker that oversees the cashiers talk down and insult an employee who obviously had mental challenges. She embrassed him in front of me. Told him to not close down his lane ever again! That was uncalled for and shameful. She isn't any better and probably makes 50 cents more than he does. The proper way was not to shame him in front of me, but to tell him in private in a more respectful manner. I feel awful for not speaking up. Next time I will. read more

This Giant Eagle is rather huge on the inside. Which made what I thought was going to be a quick trip turn out to be a little bit longer than needed to be. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that the one item I was looking for had more of a selection than just one single brand. It actually turned out to be a better deal for me. On 2/4 i shopped at McIntyre square Giant Eagle At 7; pm. upon completion of selecting my items i came to the front of the store to check out.I had 8 items so first I looked for the quick checkout lane and there wasn't any. Since i dont use self checkout i looked for an open maned checkout register. There was 1 only 1 open at by this time 7;10 pm. Finally after standing in line behind 3 customers with completely filled carts a young man opened another register. i moved over and was first in line. As i was leaving the store there were 3 ladies standing in front of the area marked self checkout registers. i inquired as to WHY only 1 register was open with a clerk only to have one of these women tell me there were 2 open registers for a long time. Pardon my language but i said BS cause the one register just opened and i was first in line. This does not seem to be a policy about taking care of and caring about your customers.this qualifies as horrible customer service.What a joke. Angry-talked to a pharmacy person, said my prescription would be ready in an hour. He even called me a few minutes later to ask a question about the quantity I wanted. When I got there a few hours later, they said they were out of stock. How hard is it to call me and tell me that before I make the trip? They did the same exact thing to my husband a few months ago. Very pitiful. Can't giant eagle hire people to do their jobs? It's not that hard to make a phone call. I complained to the manager, he was nice, but I could tell that he did not want to talk to those pharmacy people. read more

Been going to this Giant Eagle for about 20 years. I'm a regular so am always greeted by staff. Store always has what I need. People in parking lot aren't always watching where they're going but you learn to watch out. Pharmacy has always been great. At most have to wait 15 min for a refill that I didn't call ahead for. Complaint: the aisles are narrow and they moved things around a lot about 5 years ago. They've stopped doing that since. Other complaint: there's often trash in parking lot. They do need to work on this. read more

This is up the street from where I live. I'd rather go to the one in Pine Township because it's so much nicer than this one. This giant eagle has a much better selection than the giant eagle further north on McKnight!! I had to take 1 star away because its set up a little funny but this is one of the best non market district giant eagles in my opinion only slightly behind waterworks & cranberry! read more

I hate this place. I'm going to do my best to never go back. The employees are troglodytes. The self-checkouts are painfully unintuitive and they always break in the middle of me checking out. Last time I was there, instead of helping me and other customers waiting for someone to fix our self-checkouts, the manager spent nearly ten minutes arguing with someone to put their mask over their nose. If it's that big of a deal, get the security guard out front or call the cops. The rest of who aren't breaking the rules shouldn't have to wait. read more

The curbside pickup is terrible. First time I tried it I waited 20 minutes for my order after arriving at scheduled time. Second time I paid with PayPal in the app and when I arrived was told "PayPal doesn't work" and I had to pay again. Also, every single item was inexplicably in its own plastic bag. Yep, 11 bags for 11 items. Third time I tried it they made ridiculous substitutions without my approval. It is a really terrible experience and really needs to be improved. read more

i have used the delivery service for several months since an accident. personal shopper and delivery has been great. however ordering policies require a manual and policies to correct are void and no excptions are offered. examples: buy one get one -i placed 1and did not receive other one; buy 2 get 2 coke, i placed order for 2 and that was what i was charged for. you must know what their policies are without explanations until charges are made and product not received. lost customer.........please beware. profit margin more important than a customer. read more
