Z Florist was founded in 2002 according to its website. The owner, whose last name begins with the letter "Z," has over 30 years of experience in the floral industry. Z Florist carries a wide variety of flowers and other plants, including lilies, hydrangeas, roses, gerbera daisies, orchids, ivies, ferns, succulents, and many others. For my Valentine's Day gift, my husband purchased a large vase of roses from Z Florist. My husband said that he felt happy with the price and service. I felt happy with the appearance of the beautiful red roses and vase as well as with the taste of an included heart-shaped chocolate. read more

Amazing! Mark and his staff are amazing, as is their work!. Keep up the awesome work

My family has been buying flowers from Z for years and years. I refer them to anyone whenever 'flowers' come up in conversation. Lately, I have been buying nice vases as gifts and then bringing the vase to Z for him create an arrangement in. I bought this huge green vase for my mom as a gift last week! Z did this beautiful arrangement for me in less than 10 minutes while I waited! So talented! read more

We went to Z Florist because of a prior good experience with them for a funeral. My son got married on 8-31-24. From the initial contact to the delivery of the flowers to the church, it was a pleasant experience. Mark is phenomenal! When my daughter-in-law said that she wanted lots of color in her bouquets, that was all that needed to be said. Mark took that line and ran with it. The flowers were stunning and incredibly fresh. Even with the bouquets being out of water most of the wedding day until late at night, once they were put in water after the evening was done, they are still gorgeous nine days later (see photo)!!! The wedding party wore black, except for the bride, and the flowers made everything pop. The wedding coordinators who see lots of weddings at their church also commented positively on the flowers. The colors were so beautiful. Also, we felt that the price of the flowers was very fair. I would not hesitate to hire Mark and his team for anytime I need flowers in the future. On top of the quality of the work and flower, Mark and his staff are the nicest people around. You can't go wrong with Z Florist! read more

Z Florist helped me out in a flower "emergency"!!!!!!!!! This is a true story! I had ordered flowers for a friend's memorial service on 1-800flowers.com with "guaranteed" delivery. 1-800flowers.com called the day of delivery and said they couldn't deliver them until the next day (the day after the memorial service). I looked at yelp, found Z Florist, they were the only florist who would make the bouquet and deliver it the same day in time for my friend's memorial service!!!!!! They were amazing. I can't say enough good about how they helped me and went out of their way in a difficult situation. They said they would make a beautiful bouquet with a hand written note. Z Florist went so far above and beyond to make sure their beautiful flowers made it to the right place to comfort the family. This small flower design shop has an extraordinary level of service, care, and compassion. I highly recommend them without reservation. They came through for me when I really needed them. "Thank you" is not enough. read more

I called last minute for 3 medium bouquets that I needed by the end of the day on a Friday. They were completed within an hour and were absolutely stunning. Well exceeded my expectations of what a $30 arrangement would include. Wrapped beautifully with ribbon and included a lovely mix of roses and more unusual blooms--not a standard mix of filler flowers. They even gave me a bucket for flowers since I was giving them to recipients the next morning. The shop is also lovely--beautiful display of flowers to choose from as well as some lovely little gifts and items. I will be back! read more

This was my first experience with Z florist. I couldn't be happier the people were great to deal with. I showed them a design on their website that I liked but wasn't sure of color. She suggested that I will leave that design up to them. So I took her advice and they did a very very nice job. Thank you and I will definitely recommend this place to others. read more

Nathan from Z Florist worked with me on my wedding flowers, and they were fabulous. I first saw their flowers at my hair salon (MCN Salon) and thought they had the perfect aesthetic that I was looking for. So I called up, and Nathan worked very patiently with me. I basically told them to do whatever they thought would be best, since I already knew that I liked their style, but Nathan seemed like he was the type of guy who would listen very carefully to what you want. The flowers were delivered on time and still look great (it's about 5 days later now). Even my bridal bouquet managed to make it through being manhandled and is still looking fresh. They do beautiful work, and I highly recommend them. read more

So fantastic! I stopped in, desperate, mid afternoon on Valentine's Day. With little in my wallet, I asked for the best they could do. A young lady employee immediately jumped up and said "I'll create something for you!" I walked away with a bouquet so beautiful, so wonderful, so much for so little! I can't thank them enough. And oh yeah, the store window and exterior displays are always gorgeous too. read more

Z Florist was recommended to me by a family member. I was more than happy with the flowers they delivered to the funeral home for my mother's viewing. Z florist was hired for my December 1 wedding. We heard great things, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. We met with Z florist and sent multiple photos via email to show exact photos of what we wanted as far as bouquets, centerpieces, and cake toppers. What we received looked NOTHING like our photos. We wish Z florist would have showed us examples of what a centerpiece would have looked like prior to our big day so we could have made adjustments. Mark is a great guy and was fabulous to work with but the flowers were just not what we expected. read more

If I could give Z Florist 100 'stars' I would!! This is 'THE BEST' Florist!!!!! I saw their work at a funeral last summer and had to ask the family who did the flowers? They were so pleased themselves they quickly told me Z Florist on Mt. Royal Blvd. Then a few weeks later, unfortunately a funeral came up for a friend of the family and I called Z Florist and gave them a shot.....and the arrangement was superb - above my expectations! I called them the next day and thanked them for the beautiful work. Then another funeral came about and once again they came through with an awesome design. I needed this one a little more personalized so I asked if I brought some items in could they incorporate them within the arrangement and of course they did anther tremendous job - the flowers and plant combination was on its own table and was admired by so many at the visitation. I am such a flower geek/fan for Z Florist I stopped at their shop and introduced myself as such (yeah, I am a goof!) Anyway, now within the past few weeks my mother-in-law passed away - a very sad and stressful time......she LOVED the casinos, etc..... my husband 'googled' the idea of a floral slot machine....he found one but in state of California. That florist was very nice and said they do not ship due to the freshness and delicate state of fresh flowers. So I suggested he call Z Florist!! Mark answered - my husband, Michael and Mark discussed what he wanted, etc., and that was a Tuesday evening after 7:00pm..... the arrangement was at the funeral home on time for the first visitation. It was incredible! It was beautiful and fun! Everyone loved it....it made gave a smile to all the saw it and in-fact we still have it in our garage where it is super cold so it is right as home like a florists refrigeration unit!! Thank you are two little words but for us they are HUGE from our hearts, truly, for Z-Florist!! I tell you to just stop in or just order yourself or a family member some flowers - they will make your smile!!!!!!! p.s. and to show what a classy and true professional person he is - Mark, the owner recommended another florist to me when I needed flowers for an area out of his region. They came through with flying colors as well! (that was Double Tulip in Penn Hills area - just to drop them a rating too)! Lots of flowery love and smiles to the 'Z' team! I sent a funeral arrangement from Z's. I wanted something a bit different and they sent a hydrangea plant that the family can replant after the viewing. It was healthy and gorgeous at the funeral home and I thought Z's prices were very reasonable. I've paid a lot more for a lot less and will definitely use Z's for all my future floral needs read more

I was EXTREMELY fortunate to have stopped in to Z Florist because my gut told me to! I had picked up my boutonniere for my soon to be husband and my (8 yr. old) son from a different florist in Etna. Needless to say, I thought they looked huge and they had glitter on them. I also had a bucket full of flowers for me to make my own bouquet. When I stopped in Z Florist, the staff stopped what they were doing and graciously helped me calm my pre-wedding night nerves. The staff helped me make the boutonnieres the size they should have been, and offered to help me design my bouquet because I was running out of time. I was frantically realizing that I took on too much to handle. With a little bit of their flowers and their wonderful expertise, and a lot of their generosity and warmth, I was smiling with happy tears in my eyes and on my way to see my family. I am forever grateful to their staff. And I am happy to be their new customer, buying flowers from them to celebrate all of our future family events. read more
