Really do not like to leave negative reviews but....My husband ordered flowers for my birthday through a third-party site from Dormont Florist. I received a dozen red roses, but they were so dark they almost looked black. Hello, I just want to pass along the rave reviews we received from our daughter's wedding this past Saturday, August 17th. The bouquets were gorgeous, as were all wedding party flowers. I had never seen a pocket square boutonniere and I'm glad they chose that for the groom alone. The centerpieces were amazing. I loved the mix of high and low. My favorite though, was the flower girl basket. It was the right size for her. The two little yellow "balls" (sorry I don't know the name of the flower) that were sticking up out of the basket reminded me of bumblebee or butterfly antennas. This florist is pretty good and the flowers are quality and because of how close it is to my home I've bought flowers from here a few times within the last year. The big negative is what you get for what you pay. Call up Donati and Sons in Bethel Park and ask for a $50 bouquet of whatever and you will end up with a very large and boisterous bouquet, spend $50 at this place and you get a tiny little bouquet of flowers that pales in comparison. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your hard earned money here when you can pay the same amount elsewhere and get a vase/ bouquet 2-3 times the size and fullness. EDIT in Response to Business: I have bought flowers from this Florist multiple times, the most recent being the ONLY time I purchased a grab and go bouquet. My point still stands regardless of your snide deflection, the money you spend here gets you a fraction of what you can get elsewhere for the same price. To be clear, this review comes from over a year of buying flowers from different shops within the South Hills, and I only made this review after it was abundantly clear this place is a ripoff. read more

long review but informational... I called To order flowers for our kids that just had a baby. The young girl was nice and sounded like she knew flowers and I was in good hands. I was very specific asking for very dense flowers, little greens, blush pinks and whites, roses, tulips, gerber daisies, hydrangeas near base by the vase, and lilies. Glass square vase specifically. We looked together at the Haute pink arrangement so she knew how dense the flower should be. I suggested a range of $100-150 and kindly she said I could do it for less. Now I know why. Arrangement 1 looked like a garden wedding with lots of greens. Not the correct flowers and no white at all. Granted it was way cheaper still not right for our taste. I called to speak to florist and manager picked up. He was defensive b/c he made it and followed notes. I "strongly" as he put it pushed back stating the notes lacked and therefore the arrangement was not what I intended and another needed to be sent. He then said the girl was new and maybe didnt understand. He argued and said he would pick up the old and replace but VERY RELUCTANTLY. I explained that tacky and to just replace. He complained about being a small business and I said I would pay an additional 30 to get the correction done. AGAIN walked through specifics and had him pull the same image from HIS website so there were NO mistakes and still... the 2nd replacement was awful based in my detailed request for the 2nd time. Instead of calling I share the images and review. While some may think the arrangements pretty they were NOT what I ordered and honestly embarrassing based on my taste and the impressive elegant arrangement we hoped to send. read more
