Working with Donati's was one of the absolute best decisions we made for my daughter's wedding. Flowers were very important to my daughter and we were considering using Costco because we thought a florist would have outrageous prices for what she wanted. Thankfully the venue recommended Jeff. Jeff took the time to listen to what my daughter wanted- her style, colors and the overall vibe she was going for. A few days before the wedding, he even had us come by to see everything in progress which gave us so much confidence and excitement. And then... the big day. Wow. They knocked it out of the ballpark. The flowers were honestly the most beautiful I've ever seen - lush, elegant, fresh and absolutely stunning in every single arrangement. From the bouquets to the ceremony to the reception centerpieces, every single detail was flawless and overflowing with artistry. I got so many compliments about how gorgeous everything looked from the guests. Jeff went above and beyond and I can't recommend them highly enough. If you want breathtaking flowers for your wedding day, look no further. They made her wedding like a fairy tale and I felt the price was so reasonable. read more

I ordered a bouquet of flowers over 3 weeks ago with specific flowers that I wanted in the bouquet for my daughter. When I just picked up the bouquet, I had asked for Star Gazer Lillies and Esperance Roses but what i got were 3 Roses and a bunch of White Lilly buds--Not Star Gazers. None of the lilies were opened, they were all buds. The bouquet was not even close to what I wanted. I was handed this bouquet and it was not even wrapped with cellophane--I actually had to ASK for it to be wrapped. I had told the girl when ordering that it was for my daughter who attended WVU--what color do you think the ribbon was--yes, they put BROWN ribbon on it. The whole thing looked like it was a funeral bouquet. I had to ask them to put blue and gold ribbons on it. I am very unsatisfied with the subpar product they gave me today. Generally, the quality of the products has always been superior, today I am actually embarassed to give this bouquet to my daughter after her award ceremony. read more

I am a life long South Hills resident that has used Donati's dozens of times. Back on July 6th, I ordered Anniversary flowers for my wife of 38 years. I requested they be delivered on our Anniversary, which is July 14th. The flowers showed up on July 7th. I have emailed Donati's two times looking for an explanation and have not even received a reply, let alone an apology. Very disappointing to a life long customer that will no longer be a Donati's patron. read more

I received beautiful birthday flowers from my mom yesterday. I'm super picky about floral arrangements and dislike FTD style options. I like when florists use their own creativity to create unique pieces. I'm glad my mom called and spoke with someone who helped her develop something special. read more

I wanted to send a single white rose from my friends and I in memory of our girlfriend's dog that passed away. Their customer service was excellent. I called on a Friday and they delivered on a Saturday. Very happy with the flowers quality too. Our friend was very touched. read more

First of all this is entirely my fault for forgetting, but this is Wednesday and needed a corsage for Saturday. They were book, I understand, my fault ..... however, when I asked if she knew of anywhere else I could go that might be taking orders, I was met with a rude "we don't talk to any other florists in the area." Then I asked if they knew of any other florists and was met with "no, I don't." Left a bad taste in my mouth. I was disappointed since they have been my go to for years. Happy ending is that I found a florist who could help me even though I was limited to what they had. Pink roses are great for any day. read more

Disappointing, had used them in past and they were great. Ordered a arrangement for a funeral and upgraded to best (2 level upgrade). Was unpleasantly surprised to arrive at funeral and arrangement was just like "good" no upgrade at all. Sent email and pictures and tried to contact them. They have refused to return contact. Service is just terrible now. Talking to others they said, service has just gone down hill and they don't use them anymore. Wish I had asked friends before ordering. Steer clear, I need to find a new florist for the South Hills. read more

For some crazy reason I never thought of using Donati's for floral arrangements and just ordered them online, well that was beyond stupid. My mom wanted to purchase a large arrangement for a party we were having. She went into Donati's one day, just with some ideas of flowers we wanted, not knowing the cost. They were very affordable and the arrangement was beyond gorgeous, plus the women she dealt with was so pleasant and easy to work with. read more

I rarely write reviews but I am compelled to do so now. Donati's flower arrangements are Amazing. Classy. Unusual. Special. Even my beer drinking dart playing husband and son comment on them. My friend got me a "once a month" delivery of Donati flowers due to my current health issues and every one is totally unique. Truly makes my recovery space magical and I look forward to them. I will never order flowers for anyone else from anyone else. Highly recommend. read more

WORST Wedding FLOWERS!!! These were the worst wedding flowers I had ever seen. When they arrived on my wedding day, it was an accredibly small, poorly arranged bouquet. The flowers were already brown and wilted. Every time I look at my wedding pictures, I cringe. The flowers are just awful. Do not order from them! I met with the owner several times before my wedding, and he assured me the flowers would be beautiful. We are highly disappointed with the quality. I am going to upload pictures of the bouquet. Save yourself grief and hassle and do not order flowers from them especially for your wedding! read more

I went to Donati flowers shop twice for my wedding. Pete the owner , wasn't gave me the estimate at all while I told him all my ideas and the place for my wedding. He kept asked me about my height (twice) and made me felt so uncomfortable. The way he treat me was unbelievable and unprofessional, never come back read more

Horrible experience!!!! Ordered flowers for a funeral, the wrong arrangement was sent late ( not even close to what was ordered). They sent a $35 arrangement, but I paid $60 plus delivery fee. Instead of apologizing and refunding me, they got nasty (he actually said "what do expect for $35) and refused to give a refund. Eventually when they realized that they were wrong , they said they would credit me a partial refund. read more

Made beautiful flowers that were ready and delivered the next day to the funeral home. Highly recommend

I have received many flowers this Easter and the ones from Donati's are by far and most beautiful! The combination of flowers is wonderful and the flowers are fresh Earlier I received a large arrangements which have lasted over a week - a couple of the flowers even longer. I ask my family and everyone I get flowers to also order from Donati's. I think they are the very best in Mt. Lebanon and the surrounding area. And the people are very friendly and anxious to please. They are the Best. It has never been my experience that the service has ever been anything except exceptional. read more

Worst flowers I have ever received and the stocks were broken called and they said just prop them up and they would send new flowers. None of the flowers ever bloomed it was amaryllis stems. 3 days later they delivered some new flowers and took the old ones back. The new flowers were a third of the price of the original ones. They never refunded the difference in price. read more

Very incompetent. My husband ordered a cookie basket for my coworkers and I and Donati and Sons never delivered it. They called me the next day and said they didn't know where to find me (I work in a hospital) the delivery woman said that only my name was on the delivery card and the hospital and not the unit where I worked. They finally delivered the package to my house and on the card it clearly stated my name and the unit I work on and address. When I called Donati and Sons they said that it didn't specify if I was a patient or an employee. If the delivery woman would have came to my unit like instructed the package would have been delivered. Very disappointing. read more

AMAZING FLORIST! They did our wedding about a year ago and the arrangements were GORGEOUS and the prices were great! Then today I ordered a birthday bouquet for my little sister online (because I moved to California a few months ago) and it was delivered 20 MINUTES LATER! I was so surprised! What a great company. Incredibly pleased. :) read more

My friend in CA ordered flowers through florist.com as a surprise for my birthday. Donati picked up the order. It's almost one in the afternoon & they just arrived. Seeing as how my birthday was yesterday & that's when they were to be delivered, that's not very good. It ruined my friend's surprise when she called me last night expecting that I had already received them. I would not recommend them or florist.com. I gave them 2 stars because the arrangement is pretty, otherwise it would've only been one. read more

I order a $50 bouquet of flowers for my mothers birthday yesterday + plus delivery and tax, and when I saw the picture on facebook of what I ordered I was really disappointed. Pete Donati and Sons is the only florist I'll use now. The Donatis have done an excellent job with everything from my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary to my father's funeral. Everything they do is fresh and tasteful. When my children's father passed away, Pete spent hours on the phone arranging the flowers in Los Angeles for me. The plants they use for the beautiful planters are healthy and graceful, flowers are always fresh. When I go into the store, they are kind and efficient. read more
