A light airy Italian coffee bar, with an outside eating area overlooking the river. I met up with a friend here for lunch the other day and found it a good place for a light bite and a natter!
Gianni's serves light meals such as paninis and ciabatta sandwiches. I chose the mozzarella and tomato with fresh basil ciabatta, which was served with a reasonably sized salad and crisps; which at £3.95 I felt was good value!
They also had a selection of cakes and pastries as well as ice creams, although I had to have a water as they didn't have any cranberry juice (my favourite) available. I did notice though, that they had a large selection of different flavoured teas as well as coffee available.
When we were there the radio was on in the background, whilst this did not bother us, it might irritate those customers wishing to have a quiet chat. However I liked Gianni's, finding it an upbeat lively place for a lunchtime snack! read more
