I have been looking forward to trying the gelato here for ages and all I can say is WOW!
The gelato and the ever-changing choice of flavours are, in my opinion all equally immense. The texture is deliciously smooth and creamy, with the flavours being suitably both devilishly rich and indulgent (dark chocolate) or slightly more refined and smooth (tiramisu).
On my first visit I plumped for having tiramisu flavour gelato in a brioche bun - who can say no to brioche and gelato, with cream (of course)? This combination of the rich and creamy gelato in a soft and sweet bread bun is to die for. This was accompanied by a double espresso, made with the superbly deep and rich tasting coffee from Extract Coffee company. On my second visit I plumped for a two-scoop cone and chose dark chocolate and tiramisu flavours - amazing!
The gelato sold here earns the description artisan and is handmade on site everyday by a family that has over 100 years of gelato making experience using both locally and where required, internationally sourced ingredients for the best flavour. It may not be the cheapest in town but you definitely get what you pay for - heaven in a tub/cone/brioche/ on a stick (you get the idea)! read more
