We had read about the new opening of Giacomo's and tried it on a Saturday night. They made the space a more open concept but still similar to the recent Corbo and Sons. It was busy which is a good sign. However, it seemed the kitchen was overwhelmed and it took quite a while for our appetizer to arrive. Appetizer Eggplant Parmigiana Entrees Shrimp Parmigiana Fillet of sole Oreganata We didn't try dessert and plan on trying their pizza. Food was good overall, however they need to improve on food timing. I wish them well as it's nice to have a good, local byob.

First of all, there was a little kids birthday party here and it was LOUD. This is clearly not the restaurant's fault but wow was it loud. I wish we could have sat outside but it was a bit chilly. We started with a 'Watermelon Mint Cooler' and 'Frozen Strawberry Margarita' - both were mocktails. They were both delicious and refreshing. My husband got the meatballs for his appetizer and I got the Caprese salad. He loved the appetizer and I loved mine. You cannot go wrong with Caprese salad in my opinion. For our entrees, he got the 'Bistecca alla Pizzaiola" which was a steak with tomato, garlic and red wine with potatoes. It was really good. The steak was very tender. I got the 'Ravioli Limoncello' which was Ravioli in a Lemon cream sauce. I am not a huge lemon fan but this was great. We ended with the 'Carrot Cake' and the 'Toasted Almond' cake - both were delicious as well. Everything was great. The service was quick, attentive and very friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend. Next time though, I'm sitting outside if I see a big party though!

The atmosphere is great for friends, family or a couple for a casual night out. It's a BYOB so you can bring your choice of wine, beer along and in today's world, it's nice to save on alcohol . Also I drink organic so I'm so happy to enjoy it with my meal. I am GF so my choices are somewhat limited, but was able to have some options. I had the beet salad, the salmon minus the polenta, and the pistachio and chocolate ice cream. I absolutely loved the beet salad, I thought the salmon was ok. (The piece was very small & did not taste great.) I also thought it would have been nice to replace the polenta with rice or more veggies. Next time I would try something else. The ice cream was very good. My fellow diners liked their appetizers, meals, and desserts. The service by Emily was very good & she was sweet and personable. I definitely would try this place again and opt for another main course, but all in all I liked it.

My husband had the veal cutlet parm. He loved it and it was large. Portions are good sizes. Price is reasonable. Service was ok. A bit slow but I prefer that than anyone rushing us out. The restaurant is pretty but some of the walls had some damage. They need to paint. Looking forward to the leftovers next dinner.

A manager who also squeezed through should have asked the bar patrons to move over. Not much can be done with the high noise level. Pizza was good as was the salad. A special of chicken with spinach and artichokes with melted mozzarella was not much more than Chicken Parm but served as a stack of two overcooked chicken with a thin layer of filling, almost unnoticeable with a glob of melted cheese that was served warm, even cold in spots. Linguine with clams came out without clams so returned to the kitchen before being brought back with a few clam shells on a mass of overcooked or reheated linguine that was mush. Another chicken dish was finally brought out as we were half way finished. At least that dish was hot and fresh (the extra star). Our server apologized several times and said he would take care of things on our bill, he didn't but that's not what we were looking for.

It was Friday late afternoon and overall, fairly empty. We started with a sangria flight, which can be shared. I gotta say their seasonal sangria, the watermelon, was the best of the three! We chose Tuna Crudo and Shishito Peppers as our apps. The Tuna Crudo was just ok, but we throughly enjoyed the shishito peppers! We also split the Pollo Pizza which was perfectly crispy and cheesy. All in all, good food and fairly priced. We'll be back again soon and looking forward to trying some of their other tapas

For dinner, my friends and I opted to share a variety of tapas, which our server did a nice job in timing out so that they wouldn't overcrowd our table all at once. All the dishes were fantastic, but the standouts for me were the seared octopus (deliciously charred!) and bacon wrapped dates (addicting little sweet & savory bites). When we were ordering, we were also curious about the paella, but in the end, the minimum order of 2 servings at $29-35pp felt too high. Drink options are plentiful, and we were surprised that not only do they offer pitchers of sangria, but also spritzes. We ordered the Hugo Spritz (light, refreshing elderflower spritz), and the pitcher was just perfect for sharing for 4. Lovely spot overall, and would love to come back again for a nice dinner out.
