If there was a 0 star, this pathetic excuse for a doctor should get it. I had massive stomach pains and constipation so I visited his office. He said one thing during the visit and that was, If you need an operation, I won't operate because you are too much of a risk. That made me feel good, he's protecting himself. Anyways, I got a STAT CT scan with and without contrast and I received the results the same day as the doctor. I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis among other things. I called back on Friday and left a message as I was in pain and wanted a call back that day on what I am supposed to do as the pain was still atrocious. HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL, IT'S BEEN SEVERAL DAYS NOW AND NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. I WILL NEVER GO SEE THIS JACKASS EVER AND PRAY NOONE ELSE DEALS WITH THIS DOCTOR OR HIS FIRM. read more

I have been coming to GI Excellence for years now for my endoscopies and colonoscopies. The staff is really sweet and helpful. I have never had a long wait, whether it be a regular office visit or a procedure. The office is really easy to get in touch with as well, and they are able to answer my questions right away. Even the anesthesiologists are great. But getting to why I'm leaving this review.... Dr. Milan saved my life. He ordered an ultrasound to address my nausea and chronic pain issues. The ultrasound was a tiny bit fuzzy, so he ordered a CT just to make sure everything was OK, which is how they found renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). He could have easily said, "Everything looks fine," but he made sure to follow through, and I'm eternally grateful he did. Thank you, Dr. Milan and staff!!! read more

Started off, I waited 3 hours in the waiting room to have a colonoscopy. Nurse was very nice, office staff clueless. Even though test turned out normal, they still wanted to do more tests. I scheduled, but later decided to cancel, feeling they were only trying to pad their bill. It took 2 weeks to get cancelled and 5 attempts. I finally had to go into the office and get a written confirmation the test was indeed cancelled. (If a 4 days cancellation notification is not received you get charged $200 penalty.) Very convenient for them when they don't answer the phone. read more

Facility is spectacular, I really like the cool theme with tall ceilings, soothing colors, statues and ornate environment. I met both Dr Qaseem and Dr Chakrabarty and found them both very nice, efficient and knowledgeable. I called with some questions about my procedure. Understandable that my doctor was not in. Issues: -Email is not possible. I had a few questions about my full anesthesia procedure and if I could change my CT scan to a safer MRI. No phone answer and no way to email questions. I have concerns about any company that is unable or refuses to utilize the primary information exchange method of our time. -Billing is not able to confirm if an upcoming procedure is covered by a patient's insurance. Isn't this a law now, that they have to tell us? -Without answers, I got transferred to scheduling. I cancelled the diagnostic procedure. Scheduling George gave a disappointed, "OK" and then hung up on me. I was not offered a cancellation confirmation. I would request it in email but ... read more

This is the most incompetent dr. office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. As a succinct review: 1.) They are hard to get on the phone because they send you to voicemail (if it's not full) and don't call you back. 2.) They don't call you with results that you are waiting for- even if those results dictate whether you will have surgery the next day! 3.) Dr. Chakrabarty gave me incorrect medical advise about a procedure that he does not perform and delayed a procedure I needed by a month because he said, "You'll be fine". I will be filing a grievance against him. The administration has I think 2 competent people who do have a brain and are capable of cohesive thought patterns - one of which being the manager. But the office as a whole functions the way you would imagine a child would run a dr. office. If you need a casual doctor to get something done over the next year, this might be fine. But if you actually need to get something done, I would recommend not going here. read more

I had my colonoscopy done by an excellent professional team composed of Dr. Milan Chakrabarty, Diania RN and CRNA Theresa. It was a 45 minutes wait but worth it as all the consent forms have to be reviewed and signed. From the consultation to the procedure and after care, this Gastro team is highly recommended.As an RN patient I can honestly state the fact that Dr. Chakrabarty 's clinical acumen and patient's approach with professionalism is what we needed as some of us were lucky to be treated by him. I have had other gastro specialist meeting them for my husband before but they were not as professional as Dr. Chakrabarty;s team. I am not going to recommend Dr Chakrabarty. I am a university professor who teaches medical students and residents as a part of my regular schedule. The experience of being the patient of this doctor is just the worst of my life. His bedside manners are nonexistent. In my case, this interesting doctor blamed me for finding food in my throat during an endoscopy procedure. Instead of thinking that this could happen for a medical condition like a pocket, he basically blamed me for this, even though I did not eat after 10.30 pm the night before. He was yelling at me when I woke up from the anesthesia. My wife heard his yelling from the lovy. Dr. Chakrabarty's behavior is reminiscent of a feudal king from the 17th century, a stark contrast to the modern medical standards we uphold today. As a doctor, effective communication with patients is a fundamental skill he seems to have overlooked in his practice. Dr Chakrabarty, this is probably the time for you to retire or return to medical school and be updated in basic bedside manners with patients. read more

I have been seeing or should I say Had been, seeing Dr. Indraneel Chakrabarty for the past 4 years. He has helped with defeating the Barrett's Esophagus while we continue to explore some other gastrointestinal issues. I can't remember the last time I was able to actually see him. I had an appointment scheduled for July 2019 and it was canceled 2 days before. I had already asked for the day off from work and so I lost that day. They "rescheduled" my appointment for August. Well, as that date got near, I received another call and they needed to reschedule again. I said that I would schedule but for October due to prior engagements. So as my October appointment nears, I receive another call that they need to reschedule and this time, I agree to see the PA for November 14. On Tuesday, I receive a voicemail message to "confirm" my appointment for November 13 at 4:00pm. AN APPOINTMENT I NEVER MADE. So, my mother in law goes since their phone service is a joke and you never get a return phone call, and they finally admitted that they changed the appointment because of something on their side. My original appointment on the 14th was for 10 a.m. so I would be able to go to work afterwards. So, supposedly I have a December appointment but I won't hold my breath. Dr. Neel is an EXCELLENT, doctor, unfortunately his staff is not... I do hope it changes as this could bring down or ruin the reputation of an EXCELLENT doctor and that would be devastating. read more

BEST GI TEAM EVER!!! Had my Colonoscopy in their Hemet surgery center today. What an excellent experience. The team is one of The Best I have ever encountered: Susan, my nurse, got an IV, into my normally inaccessible arm, successfully Without Pain. This has never happened before. The good news continued with Sal the Anesthesiologist who really cared (how adorable is this doc ), and of course the expertise of Dr. Chakrabarty who is super knowledgeable, Efficient, kind, and friendly. Chloe the nurse, who completed my actually enjoyable experience here, was equally as kind and compassionate as well as the super nice front desk manager who even wheels you out to ur transportation. Now that's A+++ service Would give 100 stars here if it would let me. read more

I saw Dr. C at the Temecula location. I checked in and was called back with five minutes. The front office staff is very friendly. She kept having me me go back and forth, driving 1 HR just to tell me my results had not arrived and would just repeat them again and they still wouldn't arrive... It's become obvious that they don't care about my health and I'm tired of having to fight to just get information or for them to take my disease seriously. I have never been more sick than I have been while going to this office with 2 hospitalizations and countless visits the ER in just the last 6 months. If you are considering going there don't unless you like hospital food and waiting rooms. This has been the worst experience of my life and that place is a joke. Dr Chakabarty was great, for the 10 seconds I met him when going under for my procedure. His staff is not. You don`t get an actual appointment with the doctor you only get to see his staff who seem just annoyed you are there. 3 months after my procedure I am only able to eat crackers, broth and 7up and one of his minions argues with me about my own symptoms. There's a reason why this place has 2 stars. Plus their has been many grievances filed against this practice including by me and there a lot of bad story's about this place and I should have listened. I was accused of being a "drug seeker" by Dr Chakrabarty because I was feeling severe pain after my colonoscopy and he called me a "drug seeker" because I was afraid of the surgery and requested something for the pain and they said no which was fine I didn't even argue about it. And because the night before I was at the ER and Dr Chakrabarty accused me of being at the ER the night before because he said I wanted drugs (when I didn't even get pain medicine and I tested positive for Cdiff WHICH IS A VIRAL INFECTION) he only said this because I told him the truth about one of his workers who was extremely rude and unprofessional and caught was saying very inappropriate things on a personal call and didn't know I was behind the sheets and I was uncomfortable, but I didn't say anything. But after she started getting extremely rude and after waiting for 3 hours to have my colonoscopy and after them accusing me of lying for having sever pain in my stomach after the colonoscopy that didn't go well, I brought it up to her and told he that she was extremely rude and unprofessional and when I said that her face got red and then she wouldn't talk to me after that. I even asked her if I was lying and she wouldn't respond! And requested to talk to Dr Chakrabarty, he proceeded to call me a liar and started accusing me of wanting pain pills for drugs! How unprofessional and unethical is that? Dr Chakrabarty tried to shift the focus off of the real issues, by calling me a "drug seeker" so I filed a grievance with my health provide and they are investigating right now. After a few weeks Michelle the PA called me for a follow up and the only reason why I set up the appt was because I wanted to tell her the horrible experience I had when I had my colonoscopy procedure, but when I showed up for my appt, they refused to see me and they said my appt was canceled (without ever calling or letting me know) and they said I was discharged from there and couldn't be seen by anyone there anymore. (Which is fine I was NEVER going to go here again, but I wanted to tell Michelle what happened) but they wouldn't let me. I have already filed a grievance and also will be seeing about making this a legal issue as well. BEWARE this place is shady. read more

Ive been seeing Dr. Indraneel Chakrabarty for over 1 1/2 years being treated for Barrett's Esophagus. While Dr. Chakrabarty is nice, his office staff and PA in Temecula are terrible. On 3 separate occasions I've had to wait over one hour just to see the PA. The first time was around 1:00pm, and after an hour I got up to leave and was told she was taking a lunch break because she was running behind. She saw me attempting to leave and immediately saw me. She explained it was very easy to fall behind in seeing patients as the day goes on. I said from now on I would make my appointments for first thing in the morning to avoid this. My next two appointments were early in the morning to avoid the issue. This proved to be worthless. I still had to wait over an hour in the exam room. At my last appointment at the one hour point, I could hear the medical assistant telling the PA I had been waiting for an hour, and her reply, "he's just going to have to wait." The medical assistant opened the door to apologize to me and I said I'm leaving. She asked if I would like to make another appointment and I said no, I'm done. In addition to the very poor office management, they don't communicate at all. They ignore the patient portal, even though it says to use it to communicate with them. After two EGD's with HALO/RFA, my third EGD with biopsy was performed. They got the pathology report after 4 days, but they felt it wasn't necessary to tell me the results. I had to call several times and insist I get a copy of the report. The report should low grade dysplasia, yet they felt I didn't need to know that. 30 days later I had a follow up appointment to go over the report. My last EGD with HALO/RFA I spoke with Dr. Chakrabarty and advised him of the communication issues and he assured me he was aware and was making changes in the office. It appears if he did, it did not help. If you don't mind the long waits and lack of communication, Dr Chakrabarty is a good doctor. read more

The staff was great and Dr. Indraneel Chakrabarty was very nice and presented a lot of information that is crucial for my health in a way that I could understand it. He is very caring. I highly recommend Dr. Indraneel Chakrabarty. Angelique was my nurse. She was Amazing!!!! She has such a great personality, she makes you feel comfortable to be there. It's not easy having these procedures done, but she made it seem less of an ordeal. read more

My impression of this GI specialist office is mixed, based on one consultation and some later follow-up that left me questioning them. They have this unusual facility that looks like a Roman villa in the large circular waiting area, with art from various cultures scattered through the interior. It gives the impression of a successful operation but a bit garish. My visit with Dr. Qassim was very rushed; he seemed anxious to get me scheduled for a procedure and move on. No doubt, he's experienced, but the hurried visit was not a positive experience. I felt like the office is geared to doing endoscopy or colonscopy--that's how they make the most money, I assume. Reading other reviews and reports online later, I had some concerns about the GIE operation and whether I could fully trust my care to doctors there. In trying to schedule a colonoscopy, I left at least two messages for the scheduler and never heard back. So I put that on hold. It seems like some patients have a positive experience and others a negative one. I consulted with my regular doctor who suggested I wait, see how my symptoms go, and decide whether to schedule a colonoscopy, possibly going elsewhere to have it done later. read more

So I make the appointment...they change it...they change it again...they don't have the address I changed twice in my calendar for the Temecula office(hoping staff will be more professional)...I go and get there early and they stick me in an office smaller than my bathroom...for 1/2 an hour...as I decide to leave I 'm chased ans asked twice if Iwant to reschedule ... Can I give them less than one star?! Went to the consultation and set up an appointment day for the procedure. They would not confirm a time. I am hypoglycemic and told them that I must have the first appointment of the day. They told me that they do not set the time of the procedure until the day before and if the appointment is cancelled at that time (because it is a late appointment, instead of the first appointment of the day as I requested), they will charge a $200 cancellation fee. These people are terrible, do not have any compassion for the patient. They are a "mill", pushing patients through without any regard for the patients health. read more

Horrible waste of time. Had an appointment at 3. I was on time. Lobby was full of people waiting. At 3:45, I still had 2 people in front of me. They took a new patient back every 10 minutes or so. I would not have gone to an exam room till 4 and presumably would have waited there at least 30 minutes. Therefore, an appointment at 3 and not seeing anyone till 4:30 is completely unsatisfactory. My time is too important to sit an hour and a half waiting for an appointed time. If I had shown up an hour and a half late, I would have been told that I missed my appointment. I would have been charged a fee and forced to reschedule. Think about it. Horrible customer service and time management. Do not use this facility! read more
