Definitely the best ghost tour in Gettysburg. They have inside access to the orphanage and the Jenny Wade house. The guides have lots cool ghost stories and are very knowledgeable in Gettysburg history. The tours are only $10 a person and last 1 1/2 hours. We only had time to do the Orphanage tour but if we are in town again, we hope to do the Jenny Wade house tour. read more

This tour is a waste of time, on Saturday, June 11th we went on the 8:30pm tour with Bob. Bob was the most boring, non-informative guide we had ever met. He spent more time describing the five senses, than talking about actual ghost sightings or the history of the orphanage. We were extremely disappointed as were most on the tour. Bob kept promising us that we would go to the basement of the orphanage, which we finally did but no before a 45 minute story at a dumpster of when he came to Gettysburg in 1996. The staff at the office are not helpful either, we arrived early as indicated in their webpage, after giving us our tickets and telling us to return we looked around several local shops. When we returned, the staff said nothing to us, Bob was standing there and he didn't say a word either. We assumed he was the guide, but no one told us where to go or anything. While this tour gives you access to the orphanage, I highly recommend any other tour in Gettysburg as this as unprofessional and interesting as it gets! read more

I've been on their tours twice - once with my boyfriend for date night and then again (because you have to come back!) with friends. The first time we did the orphanage tour and the second time we did the combo. I'll start by saying that you definitely get your bang for your buck. The tours are long and jam-packed with both ghost-related and historical stories. In both places they also provide the opportunity to sit still, lights off, and text if there is any activity. There is also seating on both tours so don't worry about having to spend a lot of time on your feet. However, there are narrow stairs in both locations so be wary if you have a disability or injury. The tour guides had great energy and were welcoming of photography on both tours. You can purchase tickets online, at the Ghostly Images place, and even at the Jennie Wade gift shop so make sure to ask for availability! Orphanage: This was literally the best ghost tour experience we've had in Gettysburg thus far - and I'm a bit of a paranormal enthusiast so we go A LOT. Both times we went to the orphanage were great. They let you look around while they tell stories, and they even let you into a spooky back part of the orphanage downstairs that gets pretty interactive. (I don't want to give away any spoilers.) they take you into a lot of different rooms and it's a chance to see the orphanage like never before (probably your only chance to see the orphanage). We had the time of our lives and I'm also pretty sure my roommate and I (who are both sensitive) felt a small handprint on both of our thighs - like a small child was in between us. The way they tell the stories here really make you feel for the children. We arrived early for our tour the first time and the woman behind the counter was super friendly and willing to talk ghost-talk with us for about 30 min while we waited - she literally made us hyped up for the tour and raised our expectations a lot with staff. Ask about the dolls you can take home! Jennie-Wade House: We purchased tickets in the gift shop of the Jennie Wade House and it was super easy. They take you around the different rooms in the dark and it's really spooky. You know the feeling of feeling like someone's watching you in your own home? Imagine that - but someone else's super historic home. It's an eerie feeling from the moment you step in. You learn about both the history and paranormal side of Jennie Wade. In the cellar, you have the chance to test out the paranormal activity. (Yes, they take you into the cellar - the same cellar where her body probably was). All-in-all, the combo tour is the best deal but if you have young kids I would do one tour at a time so they don't get restless. Definitely a tour we would do again! read more

We did the Jennie Wade house ghost tour on Tuesday Oct. 12th. George was our guide and was a great story teller. He was informative and animated. Highly recommend him. read more

Came here with friends hoping for a fun time. But by 15 minutes in we considered walking out because we were done hearing boring, second hand ghost stories. The tour was supposed to be about an orphanage, but we only spent about fifteen minutes in there and spent almost all of that time listening to the horrible stories. The highlight of the tour was looking into a hole in the wall that was supposedly haunted but even that was pretty uninteresting. Total waste of money, if you want ghosts go someplace else in Gettysburg. Wish I could get my time back, would give it zero stars if I could. read more

Gave two stars because the guide was so animated. If you have children, this would be good, but even that being said, save your money & donate the $10 per child & adult to the NPS or other preservation museum. Spent 30 minutes sitting in basement while guests took turns sitting in hole in wall "the pit". We then took a tour of the parking lots while listening to second hand ghost stories. Don't waste your time or money here. Walk on by. read more

Best time, take the late tour. The tour guides are a riot but know their stuff!! Very entertaining!

Did a tour with Ghostly Images where they actually have an actor portraying a ghost of a confederate soldier. It was great!! Very interactive, thought provoking, funny and enlightening. I highly recommend Ghostly Images. read more

My 11 year old daughter and I took the 7:00 pm tour this weekend. It was fun !!! unfortunately, because of covad 19, we could not go into the orphanage or Jenny wades house. It was an all out side tour. the tour guide, James, kept things rolling had some interesting stories to tell. We would do it again. read more

We did the orphanage and Jennie Wade house combo tour tonight and had a great time. Our guide was awesome, she was very knowledgeable and had a great attitude. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a history lesson with a side of ghost. Our guide also gave us her email incase we found any ghostly pics on our camera and we've already sent her one! Awesome experience! read more

After experiencing a "so so" ghost walk the night before, my son and myself were still hungry for more so we signed up for the orphanage tour and we were not disappointed at all! Our guide Alexsis was amazing balancing both great historical knowledge of the area with perfect story telling abilities, making the almost two hours of tour the highlight of our visit to Gettysburg (Besides the battlefield tour of course). Highly recommend!! read more

Total bore. Stood in parking lot for 20 minutes looking at what Bob said was a parking. Then spent the next hour sitting in 2 rooms while he droned on. Don't waste your $10. read more

Signed up for a walking ghost tour and a visit to the Jennie Wade House. Our group of four were pretty excited as this house has been recognized as one of the most haunted houses in the U.S. (#6) as recognized by the Travel Channel amongst others. I am by no means a believer in the paranormal, however I am no sceptic either, so I entered our tour with an open mind. As we started out with our guide, Chris, we simply crossed the street to a stone wall that bordered the National Park which was across the street from the National Cemetery where Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address. Chris told several ghost stories from the park and the cemetery while educating us on what a paranormal experience might look and feel like to the senses. We then moved about 150 yards to a grassy knoll that was closer to Jennie's house. We were again told about more recent reports that supported several ghost legends and Chris always reinforced that there could be a smell, a vision, a touch or a noise when engaging the paranormal. This experience was heightened by the fact it was getting darker and the area was flooded by fireflies. At one point a firefly lit up about six inches from my face and It actually startled me! This part of the tour lasted almost an hour and to be honest I started to lose my attention and was slightly bothered that we weren't actually "touring" anything and it was taking us so long to get to the sixth most haunted house in the U.S.. However, after the experience I realized that this is an important part of the program as it presents you with a variety of paranormal events and educates you on things you can look for to maximize your experience. By the time we gazed upon the bullet riddled door which was the entrance to the house I was excited, hopeful and even a bit confident that we were going to have a successful experience. We were not disappointed. We entered the house and in each room Chris explained the various paranormal "residents" that have been documented by experts and some of the typical hauntings that have been reported. Well, on the second floor in the Widow's house is when my wife encountered her's. In the bedroom while looking in the mirror the cabinet door opened below. Several other guests supported that the door was DEFINITELY closed previously. I then took the attached photos. You cannot see the cabinet door but the mirror and the window to the right. I believe there to be a shadow/silhouette of a man in the curtains (my wife think it is just the pattern in the lace curtain) none the less we AGREE that our experience was REAL! If you are looking for a place where you see a full blown ghost appear and disappear this may or may not be the tour for you. However for $10 (1 hour 45 minutes long) to experience one of the most haunted houses in America and have a high probability of having a more subtle paranormal experience, this tour is a must! The one aspect that would have heightened this for me would have been a little more time in the basement and keeping the lights off for a moment or two. I think the fact that there appeared to be a number of others in our group of 24 that kept an opened mind helped enhance the experience. I could see where a skeptic in the group could bring things down. Our guide, Chris, was energetic and knowledgable and her excitement was contagious! She was a great story teller and we will look for her to be our guide on our next tour! If I visit again I would definitely want to experience a midnight tour if offered and possibly a tour of the orphanage. read more

Nate was our guide, he did a wonderful job explaining the history of the sites we toured. He was very friendly, informative and had a great sense of humor. He was attentive to all of his guests and made it very interesting. Thanks Nate!! read more

We chose this ghost tour based on the promise of going inside the haunted orphanage. They definitely followed through with that, however it was the shortest part of the tour. Our guide, James, was entertaining and not at all monotone or boring as some of the other guides have been mentioned. A few things that would've made this a better tour...smaller group size, having the psychic like other reviews mentioned, more time in the orphanage, less corny/hokey decorations, have the tour part of the basement separate from all of the modern workings of business. Having the AC system kick on or hearing the water from a toilet flushing overhead made it very difficult to really get into it. read more

We enjoyed our tour of the orphanage with Cheryl, would say it's worth the price to do something off the beaten path

Did the "Friday night fright" Orphanage tour last night and was thoroughly disappointed. The "tour" consisted of a guide meeting the group outside and talked about the Gettysburg area for 15 minutes then talked about the Orphanage for about 10 more minutes. We then walked into some room that looked to be setup as a theater stage of some sort where we sat and listened to another guide talk about her way of ghost hunting for about 20 minutes. They turn off the lights, people take pictures of nothing, then we went to the basement. There, another guide talks about his way of ghost hunting, explains the different styles, told one story and then turned off the lights where again, more pictures of nothing. We have done many ghost tours and this by far was the most disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the basement was creepy but we would've loved more stories about the building. read more

Recommend the 10:45 Orphanage tour. Ends a little after midnight. We started off with a great storyteller, Morgan, and then went down into the basement with a psychic investigator, Kendra. Kendra used equipment and allowed audience participation. It was fun and exciting and worth staying up passed my bedtime. read more

My wife, daughter and I were in Gettysburg over the Labor Day weekend. While there, we participated in two ghost tours presented by Ghostly Images, the Jenny Wade House and the Orphanage. My daughter was very excited about a few photo's she took, and even the tour guide, BOB, seemed to think she had captured something paranormal, but what else would you expect him to say? Bob was our guide on both occasions. We also had the same psychic/medium on each trip. Bob was knowlegeable and entertaining. The medium, although entertaining was quite suspect. If you want to sit and hear the story of his life, you have the right guy. If you're looking for "paranormal", I suggest you look elsewhere. He promised us a "paranormal" experience the night before after an unexceptional visit to Jenny Wade's place. But his promise fell short. I would have to say, save your money and go for the walking tour. I think your chances of a ghostly experience are just as good in the streets as they are in the cellars. Not only that, but, I watched as they resold tickets that had been purchased earlier to be held, but the people didn't show up for the tour. Nice racket they have there. read more

We did a 90 minute tour ending in the Orphanage. All I can say is 'what a waste of money'. We walked back an alleyway and stood by a dumpster for about 45 minutes listening to the guide talk about some of the most well known ghost sightings in Gettysburg. Then we went inside the Ghostly Images building and sat on benches for about 40 minutes more of the same. It ended with about 10 minutes in the basement of the orphanage, with 30 seconds of the lights out because our group consisted of several small children (2-4 years old) and the littlest was afraid of the dark, so the guide kept the lights on the whole time! I have taken other ghost walks in Gettyburg and they were much better. Will not be going back to Ghostly Images, that is for sure. read more
