What an amazing tour! We really wanted to experience an in house/building tour. There are so many options for ghost tours but this is one of the few legit ones where you aren't just walking around outside the building. Our guide Rick was awesome! Super knowledgeable, lots of great information and stories, he really cared about making sure he was giving you accurate, correct information. I took a tour of Gettysburg's haunted orphanage on March 25, 2022, and I had so much fun! I'm skeptical when it comes to ghosts, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the tour at all. James, our tour guide, made the tour enjoyable for people who fully believed in ghosts and skeptics like myself. He kept all of us thoroughly entertained, engaged and spooked the entire time. He was great at sharing the ghost stories, and sharing the history of the area around and inside the building. My tour group was smaller (there were about a dozen of us), and there were two kids on the tour who would not stop talking the entire time. However, James was a real champ with how he dealt with it. While he was respectful of the kids, he also kept us on track, which is a necessary skill in a tour guide. It was fascinating to learn about what happened at this orphanage and how the ghosts of the children still haunt the premises. Although I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, when it came to seeing orbs or figures on the photos I took during the tour, I still enjoyed the tour a lot. Highly recommend! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect because I've never done a ghost tour before but. Our tour guide Maria was very knowledgeable. The orphanage was legitimately creepy. Other people said that they saw shadows moving around in the dark and one person reported feeling like something touched her foot. The Jenny Wade home had more of a sad. One of the chains that partitioned the rooms did start shaking by itself for no reason and I think I got a picture of an orb. I highly recommend this tour and guide to anyone who enjoys the supernatural. read more

We did the 8pm orphanage tour. Eric was our guide and he was amazing. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours long. It starts on the outside for the first half and stays within a block or so of the building. Without giving any spoilers here is how it breaks down. He explained about some of the residents experiences during the battle and how at each location ghosts have been seen. It's a nice trip into some of the lesser known facts. Then we moved inside for the second half. You enter into a grand room that they aren't too sure on how it was used at the orphanage. Next is a small room where all the children (approximately 100) were all fed at once. Then you head into the cellar. FYI the stairs are steep and not very wide as per the time. We were told about some of the atrocities that were committed down there. Lastly you head into "the pit" where the worst atrocities happened. This was an amazing experience that was entertaining, informative and spooky all at once. Eric has a great ability in his storytelling and is very funny and loves interacting with the group. read more

First ghost tour for me, so I have nothing to compare to, but I know enough to say this wasn't a great one. I do feel for the guides because it's not easy to sell ghosts to any skeptics and jaded teens, and the tour does rely on audience participation to make it better. Having said that, the tour had its shortcomings. It was billed as a 90-minute tour of the orphanage, but it was really 75 minutes. The first half was spent in parking lots while pointing at and talking about the hauntings of other places. That was the buildup to the orphanage which consisted of 4 rooms, and the horror really does rely on your imagination. Might have been better to pick a different tour. read more

We have used this company for a sunset bus cruise, which was good. The Haunted Bus Tour was not great. The Sachs Bridge stories were hokey, especially the new building that was constructed and no one knows why, or who built it. We arrived at Gettysburg College around 10pm, and the campus was crowded with seemingly inebriated students, which was distracting. Special shout out to bus driver Amy, who handled that big bus with ease, sometimes in total darkness, and in spite of impatient drivers near us. read more

Ghostly Images of Gettysburg not only does walking tours, but also a haunted bus tour. We opted for a haunted bus tour after walking a nearby festival and the battleground during the day. The coach itself no longer rises and lowers to allow passengers to enter and exit, as it's supposed to do. Also, after the stop at Gettysburg College it sounded as if the engine wouldn't start. The bus driver had to make several attempts before it finally turned over. As for the tour guides and ghost stories told, in the course of the two hour tour 6-7 alleged ghost stories were told. NO ghost stories of the battle itself or the remaining battlefield that we traversed were told!!! The ghost story about three confederate soldiers at the Sachs Bridge stop has been noted on other ghost stories/legends sites to have only originated in the 1980s; and if you believe the ghost is a smoker who will move your cigarette side to side in a breeze is truly "smoking" then you are more gullible than the average tourist. The walk across Gettysburg College and ghost stories told there were the best part of the tour. The legendary stories of the spurned bride who plummeted to her death and the blue boy. However, they added their own plug for their headquarters (former orphanage) by trying to link the blue boy's story outside the women's dorm to their building 3 miles away in a version of the story I could find no where else. I've done many ghost tours across the country, but I would think hard before booking the haunted bus tour with the Gettysburg Tour Center. read more

My son and I did the combined tour of the Jenny Wade House and Orphanage. We had a wonderful guide he was a great story teller. My son was very fascinated by the whole tour. When we were in the Orphanage the meter went off sensing there were spirts/ghosts that got my sons attention right away. At the Jenny Wade house it was interesting seeing that bullets went through the house. My son thought he felt someone raise his shirt, but he wasn't sure. So again these things kept my sons interest. My boyfriend & I were on the Jennie Wade Ghost tour on July 3rd this past weekend. We were in the blue group at 8:30pm but unfortunately we don't remember the tour guides name. She was awesome though!! The tour guide suggested we take pictures in the mirror since there's been some sightings. We started snapping pictures and we're just going through them now - the first picture is a kid who was dressed as a soldier who was on the tour with us. In the second picture it looks like a person with a hat on, who we can't seem to remember being on the tour as there was only one person (in the first picture) with a hat on the tour. The third picture looks like someone dressed in uniform, but the color of the uniform and hair don't match the first person. We think these are a couple of ghosts! We had so much fun and can't wait to take more tours with them in the future!! read more

My daughters and I did the late-night combo tour of the Jennie Wade House and The Orphanage. Our tour guide was Eric and he was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, well-spoken and had a great way of telling the stories. Both my daughter's felt something touch them while in the orphanage house and my one daughter experienced a bad headache upon entering the dining room there. I accidentally picked the wrong seat in the basement that had a frightening story attached to it. I was a bit anxious about it while the story was being told but overall had no ghostly experience while in the house. The Jennie Wade house tour was also great! WE hear EVP's while sitting in the basement where Jennie lied in state many years ago. It was a terrific tour that I would highly recommend. Ask for Eric as your tour guide! This tour was fantastic! Our guide Maria was very enthusiastic and added a touch of comedy to the tour. She answered any questions we had and tried to involve everyone in the tour. Some of these other views saying that they wanted to hunt ghosts, obviously didnt read what they were buying. They offer GUIDED TOURS of a haunted places. They provide historical information about the location and review the events that lead to the locations becoming haunted. They aren't offering to let you hunt ghosts and explore the locations by yourself. My parents and I did both the orphanage tour and the Jennie Wade tour, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. They allow you to take photos and try to record EVPs if you want. They also explore the ground around both locations and explain how some of the surrounding locations have had ghostly phenomenon as well. In the Jennie Wade house we saw a hanging chain that moved on its own and continued to move even as we ventured further into the location. I would definitely recommend either of these tours. read more

The guides have lots cool ghost stories and are very knowledgeable in Gettysburg history. The tours are only $10 a person and last 1 1/2 hours. I've been on their tours twice - once with my boyfriend for date night and then again (because you have to come back!) with friends. The first time we did the orphanage tour and the second time we did the combo. I'll start by saying that you definitely get your bang for your buck. The tours are long and jam-packed with both ghost-related and historical stories. In both places they also provide the opportunity to sit still, lights off, and text if there is any activity. There is also seating on both tours so don't worry about having to spend a lot of time on your feet. However, there are narrow stairs in both locations so be wary if you have a disability or injury. The tour guides had great energy and were welcoming of photography on both tours. You can purchase tickets online, at the Ghostly Images place, and even at the Jennie Wade gift shop so make sure to ask for availability! Orphanage: This was literally the best ghost tour experience we've had in Gettysburg thus far - and I'm a bit of a paranormal enthusiast so we go A LOT. Both times we went to the orphanage were great. They let you look around while they tell stories, and they even let you into a spooky back part of the orphanage downstairs that gets pretty interactive. (I don't want to give away any spoilers.) they take you into a lot of different rooms and it's a chance to see the orphanage like never before (probably your only chance to see the orphanage). We had the time of our lives and I'm also pretty sure my roommate and I (who are both sensitive) felt a small handprint on both of our thighs - like a small child was in between us. The way they tell the stories here really make you feel for the children. We arrived early for our tour the first time and the woman behind the counter was super friendly and willing to talk ghost-talk with us for about 30 min while we waited - she literally made us hyped up for the tour and raised our expectations a lot with staff. Ask about the dolls you can take home! Jennie-Wade House: We purchased tickets in the gift shop of the Jennie Wade House and it was super easy. They take you around the different rooms in the dark and it's really spooky. You know the feeling of feeling like someone's watching you in your own home? Imagine that - but someone else's super historic home. It's an eerie feeling from the moment you step in. You learn about both the history and paranormal side of Jennie Wade. In the cellar, you have the chance to test out the paranormal activity. (Yes, they take you into the cellar - the same cellar where her body probably was). All-in-all, the combo tour is the best deal but if you have young kids I would do one tour at a time so they don't get restless. Definitely a tour we would do again! read more
