In the past three days, I have been here three different times because of the long lines. The office is open Monday thru Friday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; and close for lunch every day from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Expect to wait a very long time. They have a ticket system in place, like the RMV, where you pick a number and wait. However, the wait times are much longer than at a very busy RMV. I arrived today 90 minutes after the office was opened and they stopped issuing tickets. They said they'd resume issuing tickets at 1PM, however, would not be able to start things back up until after they have had their one hour lunch break. These people don't even work a full 8-hour day and it's backed up in less then a very short amount of time in the morning. If you expect to arrive after 2PM, turn back because they stop issuing tickets around then so they can leave by 4:30pm. This is a horrible office and the principles - the method in which business is conducted is pathetic. When you do get a chance to speak with some of the staff, they are generally helpful and friendly. I'm not knocking the people, I'm knocking the IRS and the method in which they conduct the business at this office, which is horrible.

But the big issue is that they managed to make my income about 33% less than it should have been. I told them at the time that it seemed very low, and they just brushed me off. Now a year later, I owe a ton to the IRS because I WAY underpaid my estimated taxes. And I re-did my last years taxes in TurboTax, and using the name numbers I came out with much higher income. Moral of the story: its really not that hard to do your own taxes, don't be foolish and overpay these clowns to do them.
