They were supposed to deliver it and because they couldn't reach me in person for a six dollar copayment. (my prescription benefit was paying for The Bulk of the cost.), they failed to deliver the medicine this afternoon and now I am really sick. Also, they asked me for my phone number to verify it when I called, but they called my daughter instead who lives in another state to say that they couldn't process the payment. Really? They verified who I was my personal information including phone number and they verified my pharmacy information to make sure that I had it and they quoted me the six dollar copayment and they promised that they would deliver this today. I that I couldn't get over there. I told I had a UTI and I even told them I was leaving an envelope for the delivery taped to the door because I had to work. So after having an account there for years and always paying copayments and having a pharmacy insurance coverage that they verified, for $6 I couldn't get an antibiotic for a bad UTI, when they are being paid for the prescription through insurance.? why confirm my information when they don't call me for personally? why not call my daughter for the six dollars when they can't reach me? Instead, I am left hanging tonight. The worst part is I have some kind of a credit there that I always see on my receipt. Why not use the credit which I can never figure out how to use anyway?

One of my aunts alerted me of a sale that they have every year around the holidays where most items run 20% off - she usually takes advantage of this sale when purchasing small gifts and stocking stuffers. This year, she asked if I was interested in joining, and since I indeed needed to pick up a few small gifts, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check Value Drugs out. On the surface, Value Drugs is an independent pharmacy, but it's a little more than that since addition to being a pharmacy and providing corresponding retail items, they have a large selection of non-pharmacy items which gives the feel of almost being a general store. It's a family business as well, with multiple locations in Westchester and on Long Island. The store is quite large - you enter into the main area with general merchandise, and then the pharmacy area is almost in a separate room off to the side. They have a good selection of merch - you can easily spend a good chunk of time browsing. As soon as I entered I focused on the holiday section - I was able to pick up some confections to complement gifts I was giving, and noticed they had a variety of decor as well. Even though the store is large, the aisles are tight - it was a struggle to navigate with all of the foot traffic, however I feel this was an atypical situation due to the sale. Service was good; the store was well staffed and despite everything going on, there was a flow and organization. Overall, I had a good first experience at Value Drugs. I cannot speak for their pharmacy services, but I can see how their other selection along with cleanliness and good service make it a staple in the Bronxville community.

The woman who gave me the shots did not hurt me and asked which arm I wanted it in. She explained what to expect and if X happened do Y. It was quick. They do have a lunch hour so give a quick call to check if they accept your insurance and their hours. The store itself was nice enough but I prefer cvs for those types of goods. (Cvs does not accept my insurance). There was a parking lot and it is in a good area with many places to eat or shop around as well.

That part deserves acknowledgment. However, my experience with their delivery service has been consistently problematic, and at this point, unacceptable. I will not mention names, but the delivery drivers they outsource to are unreliable, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I've experienced repeated delivery issues, including false claims that my address was incorrect, despite the fact that they have delivered to this same address before, albeit with ongoing problems. What makes this worse is the timing. There is an incoming snowstorm, and instead of clear communication or accountability, I'm receiving inaccurate information and excuses. Medication is not optional. This is not a package from an online retailer. This is someone's health. I am now seriously considering transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy should reevaluate the third-party delivery partners they choose to work with. Thank your delivery partner for losing patient trust and potentially compromising access to essential medication. Courtesy at the counter does not make up for a delivery failure. Reliability matters. Accountability matters. And right now, those standards are not being met. Very disrespectful and inconsiderate - they have no regard for the elderly and the disabled.

When I called back 2.5 hours later, I am told that they did talk to the driver and my meds were back at the pharmacy and I could pick them up now. When I did, I also wanted to talk to the pharmacist about what happened as I was annoyed. His story about what happened didn't align with the cashier's and he couldn't give me a direct answer about why I never received the meds the day before. It was all double speak; Somehow my meds were both never picked up AND picked up. I don't like being misled.

The AI assistant first says the name of the medication that can be refilled and then asks you to say what medication you want refilled. I repeated the name of the medication and the AI assistant didn't understand what I was saying!!! It was crazy. I speak English quite well. CVS has really become pro-computer and anti-human. When you go to pick up a medication, they won't even talk to you until you've entered all your information into the large computers that now sit on the pharmacy counters.
