Great authentic Gyro's and Greek food! This was a first stop during our weekend trip to Portland / Vancouver area and it was a perfect little lunch spot. Lots of different options, we got the Gyro fries which were probably my favorite along with the traditional Gyro's and a few different salads. I usually get the chicken gyro at the South Waterfront Farmers Market. The staff are super friendly, and they work pretty quickly through the orders. I love how fresh everything tastes with a good balance of sauce, meet, and veggies. You can even add pepperocinis! I find it to be the perfect dinner bite. read more

I had the pleasure of trying Getta Gyro at my workplace, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff were extremely polite--the nicest I've encountered at any food truck. I ordered the traditional mega gyro, which promised more meat, and they did not disappoint. Often, "more meat" means just a tiny bit extra, but this gyro was absolutely loaded and delicious. We got to try this cart today at the Molalla Heritage Apple Festival. The chicken in the chicken gyro was juicy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. We just wished the flavors were a little bit bolder and we would have loved some olives or hummus in it as well. read more

I'm really not sure why the reviews are so glowing about this little truck in the new food cart pod that is starting out in East Vancouver. It looks like a young couple is starting out, and I'm glad that they're giving it a try. They also were really nice. But this is not what makes a great gyro. You need to have a rotisserie running where you slice off the material to order and grill the meat, at least for the lamb/beef flavor. Here, they are using the frozen pre sliced gyro meat pieces that I've seen many times over the days at your mega mart or Mediterranean store. If you're going to be a food truck that is appealing to foodies, you need to go authentic. No frozen pre-made ingredients reheated in an oven. The meat is basically steak-ums in its format. There are at least three places in town that are doing gyros traditionally and correctly. And have excellent execution. This little truck will need to step up their game and visit them for inspiration if they expect to become part of the long term rotation. The places I'm thinking about are on mill plain near walmart, fourth plain near andresen, and of course battle ground. Those are the baselines for any new operation to beat before five stars should be given. read more

It took me a little time to figure out what happened. I didn't realize they no longer had their brick and mortar shop on 164th. To my surprise and excitement, their food cart is even closer to my house. Now that I've worked out where they are, let the gyro eating begin. Great service! The guy was so sweet and amazing! He greeted us and asked if we needed any kind of condiments or specific addition to our gyros. He wax very fast and diligent. He made sure to give us a heads up that fries would take five minutes and said we could sit in our car and he'd flag us down. On the way home I spotted them on the road where the couple food trucks are. And I am so glad I did. The gyro was packed nicely and the fries were seasoned perfectly. This place brought their food truck to my work complex and I got my very first gyro. Where have these been all my life?! I opted for a double meat chicken gyro since I wasn't feeling adventurous enough to try the traditional beef/lamb, but a coworker let me try a piece of the meat from hers. Both were super tasty, all the ingredients were fresh, and the portion was huge and filling. I'm super happy their main location is near my house and I can't wait to go again and get a traditional gyro! read more

Fast, friendly and cheap. Getta Gyro is great in a pinch. The gyro portion was perfect -and only $6 for a traditional. However, if you're starving, you can double the meat for only $2 extra. Next time the food truck stops by my work, I'll be there. read more

Forget my previous review, I was young and foolish. I have eaten here enough times to fill my little punch card. I don't know what it is about this place but I end up eating here almost every month. Part of it is I am often coming back from a kayak fishing trip and don't feel like getting out of the car. Part of it is I really like the people here. They are just the best. I even like the little brick shack and don't mind waiting in line. I always get the the regular lamb gyro with pepporicini and just love it. After a long day of kayaking it never survives the 10 minute drive home. It is in the top 2 gyros in the couve. It's funny, how endearing food carts and trucks can be. So YUMMY! This food truck came to our business for one of the Suburban Events food truck days, I got a chicken gyro- politely asked for sauce on the side because I'm never sure if I'm going to like it, I got hummus for my sauce instead. It was absolutely delicious, and I will say I added the tzatziki sauce to each bite because it was so good! If I'm ever in the Vancouver area where they are primarily located I will definitely grab another one!
